At Via Trento 14, in the heart of Ortigia, on a cool June evening we discovered a true gem of Sicilian dining. We love and know Sicilian cuisine well. But "Ci Voleva" truly surprised us with its combination of professionalism, constant yet extremely discreet customer service, and the quality and freshness of the ingredients. Francesco welcomed us with a beautiful smile. We sat outside, and the wait was very short. I greatly appreciated Francesco's care in suggesting a pairing with the freshest octopus, having the chef prepare a cream that took into account some of my intolerances. My husband chose the linguine alla Ragusana. Ecstasy! During our stay in Syracuse, we will return (the restaurant opens continuously at 10:30 am) to enjoy the extensive menu once again and to meet Giusy's smile once again. Last but not least, excellent value for money. ..."It was needed" ..."It was worth it"!!!
