Homemade recipes, high quality, absolutely worth trying. Remember to book, long waiting list. Fixed price menu with absolutely no surprises. Forget about deciding to go there overnight. Rita was very nice and kind. A place like this is really rare to find.

28/02/2025: The bacon and egg yolk noodles recommended by netizens are said to be a favorite flavor of the Romans.
I like thick noodles very much, and I prefer fresh noodles that are freshly cooked. The texture is between udon and konjac. The mayonnaise is tightly wrapped in the noodles. Although the bacon is slightly salty, it makes people want to keep using the fork.
28/02/2025: An atmospheric place with homemade, delicious food. I read with disbelief the opinions about the heavenly carbonara. I tried a few in Rome but in Da Messi it tasted the best. The highest mark 100/100. I sincerely recommend both carbonara and real, homemade Tiramisu. No cream, just delicious mascarpone cheese with an unearthly taste!. My rating of Tiramisu is again 100/100 !!

31/03/2025: Una trattoria storica che rappresenta un "must to go" se amate i sapori genuini della tradizione romana: piatti primi eccellenti e davvero una medaglia al merito per i dolci fatti in casa; strepitosi pure gli antipasti, specialmente il carciofo alla giudia. Personale attento e cortese.

02/03/2025: Roman tradition at high levels!!! Artichokes alla giudia, fried artichokes, supplì, meatballs, gricia, carbonara, cacio e pepe, rigatoni with pajata, sautéed in the mouth, fried lamb, desserts, all delicious.

For me, who now lives in the north, returning to Garbatella is like returning home and in this place I felt welcomed with warm kindness!

27/03/2025: Very pleasant restaurant, clean, quiet atmosphere 2 steps from the Colosseum, excellent pizza, good but unpretentious carbonara pasta....the panna cotta is to die for....on the other hand the tiramisu is to be avoided....a bit of a forgetful waiter, who forgot our antipasti ;)
