20/08/2025: Unreal dining experience. Never had a tasting menu before and it is life changing. The food, wine, and service was absolutely phenomenal. They went above and beyond for our special occasion and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone when visiting Rome. The most unique dining experience here and we will remember it forever.

11/08/2025: Great little spot and the Owner will tell you all about the slices and how you should eat it. Some are better hot and he will tell you, I was amazed how different it tasted and how the crust got so much crisper. Highly recommend.

07/08/2025: Best ravioli I’ve ever had. I didn’t love the trippa or my desert but I do see how they’re excellent and quite unique in terms of texture and combinations. Cute restaurant and great atmosphere. Everyone was Italian and enjoying themselves.

The service was fantastic and very fast. Fabián served me, very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. When I return to Rome, I'll definitely return.

On separate nights, I'd ordered the seafood risotto and the carbonara, and both were very delicious to say the least. With a complimentary slice of watermelon, a spritz at the end of our meal, and very friendly staff, my family was delighted with our experience.

We tried the €40 menu, which included water and a bottle of wine, a mixed appetizer, a choice of two first courses, a slice of beef with potatoes, and a dessert, liqueur, and coffee. 21/08/2025: I'm well enough in the business to know where NOT to go to avoid tourist traps, but since I'm not from Rome, I don't really know where the real gems are. A few years ago, a colleague told me: "Go to Girasole in Garbatella, trust me." So I dove in a bit blindly. And thank goodness: it was a revelation. For about fifteen euros, they served me a full menu: appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, wine, and coffee. And I'm not talking about small portions: the carbonara dish was the size of a weapon of mass destruction, the thinly sliced ​​potatoes tasted like crispy chips, and the meat, I don't remember exactly, was good and home-made. In the end, I left feeling shaky, I don't know if it was because of the included wine or the food. What I do know is that Il Girasole gave me the best value I can remember. Genuine staff, a warm welcome: more than a restaurant, it felt like dining at home. Since that day, every time I pass through Rome, Girasole is a fixed stop.

08/08/2025: The scampi cream risotto was embarrassing, flavorless, not even half a scampi. The spaghetti with clams was nothing special; I make it better at home. It's a shame because I used to go there as a kid and it's still close to home, but these two dishes are absolutely nothing. I don't know about the rest, but at this point I don't even want to try them.

15/07/2025: Fresh fish. The sauteed mussels and their broth were excellent. The raw fish was honest. I recommend the grilled cuttlefish. The bread...I made three baskets of it, it was warm, with a very toasty crust.

09/09/2025: The apple stracchetti isn't made with apple. I don't know what kind of meat it is, but it doesn't look like it. It says it comes with arugula, but it's just 4 leaves. I wouldn't go back.
