If you want to reward yourself in the evening with a long-awaited dinner and you find the perfect place, well, then the day ends in glory. Let's now return to "Emilio," the typical Roman trattoria. Here you'll find the best. The place is simply what you'd expect when entering an osteria. Simple tables, a simple, clean space, wood-paneled walls, and paintings commemorating the passing of actors, singers, and celebrities who have dined here. The menu also respects tradition. Classic first courses, as do the second courses and desserts. On two evenings, we enjoyed pasta alla carbonara, pasta alla amatriciana, rabbit, saltimbocca, pecorino, puntarelle, and the inevitable artichokes. Rome on a plate! The cuisine satisfies! The recipe for each dish has probably been passed down for a long time, it is rigorously respected. Every dish is simply made to order. There you are, full, smiling. You've had meticulous service with attention to detail, willing to offer advice on culinary questions, and a very fair final bill. The restaurant, with all the tables always occupied, says it all... The icing on the cake is seeing elderly dad still checking on the guests as he wanders around, while mom does that in the kitchen.
