I'm still thinking about how wonderful the food and service were. The atmosphere was very traditional, you felt very well looked after, and the food was some of the best we had in Rome. A friend recommended it as the place he'd like to take his children to when he becomes a father... So it's great for going with the family. Just be sure to make a reservation because it's very popular, or arrive early and wait in line. It was there that I tried the pasta all'amatriciana, undoubtedly the best of the trip. My family fell in love with the cacio e pepe. We highly recommend it. One of the two places where we ate the best food in Rome.

The downside is that there's usually a line, because the food is delicious and the price is fair. The carbonara is very good, the amatriciana is PERFECT (it's become my favorite pasta). My mother-in-law ordered grilled vegetables and wanted to come back the next day for more. I highly recommend it.

Eating at this trattoria is an experience. I had lunch here with my family and a friend of my daughter's (who's from Tuscany). Besides the excellent food, there was a warm welcome and a real Roman touch, which we'd been missing since we've lived in Tuscany for 15 years. Thank you so much.

01/05/2026: I ate at this restaurant on April 10 and 11, 2026. The food was excellent, homemade, and generous. The staff was kind and courteous, and Rufino, the owner, was very friendly. He made his customers feel at home.
25/04/2026: We've known this wonderful trattoria for many years, and it's in a beautiful location! We always love coming back: the food is delicious, fresh and authentic, traditional and local (especially the lake fish and homemade pasta, but also other options, like meat, cured meats, cheeses, and seasonal vegetables). The bread and desserts are excellent; the service is excellent, as the owner Rufino and his staff are always so kind! 😋💪🏻💚
