28/12/2024: Percorrendo l'autostrada A2, ho deciso di uscire a Battipaglia per mangiare qualcosa di buono e, lasciandomi consigliare da TripAdvisor, sono capitato in questo ristorante che dall'esterno sembra senza anima e con poche aspettative. Tavoli minimal e cucina a vista. In breve tempi mi è stata servita una buona pelata di cozze, tempi lunghi invece per il promo, linguine al ragù di polipo. Che dire, veramente ottimo, apprezzatissimo. La titolare, che serve ai tavoli, affabile e simpatica, sa ben supportate e coadiuvare il marito che sta in cucina. Prezzi onestiasimi. Mi sono ripromesso di ritornarci e ci ritornerò, ma per un pranzo completo, sicuro che ne varrà la pena.

15/02/2025: Excellent food, staff too hasty especially in the Valentine's Day dinner where there was the pleasure of hearing the excellent singer. As soon as we arrived they gave us a big rush because they had to get the kitchen "running"😣 and during meals they almost took away the plate with the food while you were sipping the wine... 15/02/2025: Location molto raffinata e magica atmosfera creata da un gioco di luci soffuse. Abbiamo scelto il meu di pesce: notevole il " plateau de fruits de mer" preparato con una grande varietà di crudi freschissimi. Notevole anche il tagliolino, un primo piatto dove il sapore del gamberetto abbinato al tartufo esalta il gusto. Carta dei vini eccellente. Tutto davvero molto buono!!!

05/10/2024: Amazing place. Such a wonderful family owns this 5 star place. Simple but awesome. Food was great!! The big boss dad even drove another family up the hill because it was raining. Must try it!!

But with the prices we are not quite there, really too high despite the beautiful place, but the fact is that it is nothing more than a bar along a street.

07/01/2025: Terrible cover music, decent but slightly overpriced food (steak was good though despite being half literally raw), and extremely weird and rude service from our waiter for reasons I can’t fathom apart from his apparent hatred for working in hospitality. He must’ve been the owners weird son. Rest of the staff seemed nice though. Avoid like it’s Coronavirus. Looking forward to the owners hostile reply based on other reviews.

11/12/2024: Ich kann mich den positiven Rezensionen hier komplett anschließen. Das Lokal hat einen Schwerpunkt auf Fleischgerichten und das machen sie richtig gut. Service sehr aufmerksam, allerdings war bei miesem Wetter Mitte Oktober auch nicht so viel los. Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend und für ein ruhiges Abendessen als Paar gut geeignet. Natürlich ist Pogerola etwas abseits der Küste. Wir waren mit dem Bus da, Parken mit dem Auto am Strassenrand wäre aber auch gegangen.

15/03/2025: The cuisine is mainly based on fish, fresh and of excellent quality. The fried foods are also worth trying. And the desserts. Variety on the menu, but without too many divergences from Neapolitan and Cilento tradition. In short, everything to try and enjoy with satisfaction. Linguine with san pietro or lobster, amberjack and tagliogne acqua pazza or baked, but also cod pie, fiorelli stuffed with ricotta, paccheri sword and aubergines, spaghetti with clams, pasta, beans and seafood... to finish with baba or pastiera. I've never tried its pizzas because it would be too banal given the temptations on the menu. Absolutely reasonable cost, when compared to the quality. Simple but attentive service. Nello is incomparable! Always kind, present and prompt, lots of ideas in the kitchen. Personally, I've always been going there. If it had the view it would be too perfect, but you can't have everything. People mainly go to restaurants to eat well, and at Nello's you eat really well.

18/03/2025: Fresh fish (taken directly from the fish shop adjacent to the restaurant which is visible to customers through a glass window) and well cooked! Very welcoming industry-style location, albeit rather small (max 25 seats), with open kitchen: it is possible to watch the preparation of the dishes live! Friendly, friendly and welcoming staff from the moment of booking. Absolutely recommended
