A lovely experience in a quiet osteria, far from the Saturday night crowds despite being right in the historic center. Friendly and unobtrusive service. The food is prepared "on the fly" based on what's available. The menu is beautifully handwritten in a notebook. The well-cooked dishes are reminiscent of home-cooked flavors, exactly what I was looking for in an osteria, and something you rarely find in a restaurant. Congratulations!

Sabrina has created a special cozy dining venue in a quite side street, with her long established team feeling like a family; Fabio in kitchen, Giovanni serving. The hand-written menu changes fortnightly, it is reassuringly restrained and considerate of seasonal availability. The vegetarian focused starters can be ordered as a complete selection. Perfect for indecisive diners! All 4 dishes had delicate flavours, perfect for anti. We had 2 primi pasta dishes, again crafted with care and subtlety. However, it's still real food (not Michelin Guide). The same attention to detail applies to their in-house baked cakes. And to finish a perfect dining experience, they have excellent grappa barricata, in case you're inclined. Canali is a hidden gem, albeit with a long established reputation and recognition, including a 2025 best restaurant award. I will certainly return to Salerno to dine here again.....

This delightful, intimate, and welcoming place offers a wonderful opportunity to sample traditional Cilento dishes expertly prepared by Sabrina, an impeccable host. A destination in the heart of the city where you'll feel right at home.

It was my first time at this restaurant, and my friend's second. The dishes were sublime, confirming the impression my friend had when he came a few years ago. The spaghetti with sublime anchovy sauce, the amazing cod, it was a priceless experience. 100% recommended.

New Year's Eve dinner: the menu wasn't up to par with the price paid, the tortellini were good, but the meat and desserts could be improved.

I visited this restaurant on New Year's Day without a reservation. Despite this, we were warmly welcomed and had a truly delicious meal. The appetizer and main course were excellent, with carefully prepared, high-quality dishes. The bill was €30 per person, a very reasonable price for what was offered. A very positive experience, I highly recommend it.
