11/12/2025: Hotel with recently renovated rooms featuring very large bathrooms. Hotel in a good location near the sea... we should highlight the kindness of the owner and staff who take care of the customers. Beautiful breakfast/dinner room and large outdoor terrace with tables. Definitely recommended both for the service, the new rooms and the excellent price.

A rude person wearing a sweater that said "Don't stress me" was wandering around the place, clearly in a state of agitation, taking orders, bullying customers, and unable to provide any useful information. I assume she's infiltrated because, otherwise, the atmosphere was calm.

01/01/2026: In the heart of Cava de' Tirreni's historic center, this elegant restaurant boasts friendly, welcoming staff. The menu offers both fish and meat dishes, as well as original gourmet sandwiches. I tried a pasta and potato dish with provola cheese and a Chianina IGP beef steak with a side of baked potatoes. For dessert, a millefeuille with black cherry cream. I was completely satisfied with everything!!! The price was in line with the quality of the ingredients. A place I'll definitely return to.

04/01/2026: The atmosphere is really nice and the service is attentive. The dough is really good; I tried it pan-fried, sliced, and classic. I tried several flavors: carbonara, winter sea (octopus), and ragù pezzente. Unfortunately, I didn't like any of these toppings. I didn't find the flavor I expect from a more gourmet pizza. Maybe I just had a bad night.

15/12/2025: Casa e Bottega truly impressed us with their impeccable service. We stopped in last minute needing a quick breakfast before catching our ferry, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The space itself is beautiful — filled with greenery and well-cared-for plants, with a cute, relaxed vibe that immediately makes you want to stay longer. It’s the kind of place where you’d love to slowly enjoy breakfast and sip coffee without a rush. Even though we were short on time, the ladies made sure our food came out quickly so we could eat comfortably and still make our ferry. The service was excellent, and the food and coffee were both great. Would absolutely come back and spend more time here next visit.

12/12/2025: From the moment we walked in I loved this place. It had such a warm, peaceful, friendly atmosphere and decoration. I can’t say enough about how welcoming they were for our dog. Then the food came… So delicious. It started with the beautiful meatballs that melted in our mouth. And then the crêpes, ravioli, and the gorgeous local dessert, sbriciolata cake was the cherry on the top. And they was open in December when so many other places are closed, I can’t recommend this place enough..

31/12/2025: Strolling through the streets of Salerno's historic center, a city familiar to us even though we've lived up north for decades, I spotted the signs for this osteria, but more importantly, the slogans posted outside the entrance. We then decided to stop for dinner: it was the best choice! The welcome was familiar, like being at Aunt Vittoria's house, the food was home-cooked (the broccoli, not on the menu, was actually from the chef's own garden!), and the service was quick and efficient. The space is small, so the atmosphere is reminiscent of a family dinner even at the other tables, with the chef even passing by with his pot to offer seconds! I'd say that, although it won't be easy to find a table, it's highly recommended for those who don't want the typical "tourist" menu but want to immerse themselves in local flavors. I almost forgot to mention the house red wine, an Aglianico. I drank one bottle at the table, for two, and another for lunch today. Get the idea?

24/12/2025: For trattoria lovers and those who love the historic center, this is the right place. It's like eating at a friend's house, with dishes prepared just like our parents used to make. You can enjoy seafood and meat dishes. The restaurant is small inside, but you can also eat outside. Every dish should be paired with a good glass of wine. I personally recommend it, but remember, only for lovers of good home cooking.

08/12/2025: Unfortunately, exactly a year later, some relatives booked at this pseudo-restaurant again. I don't recommend it for the second time; in fact, it's gotten worse, if that's even possible. Unfortunately, I can't give it less than one star, otherwise I'd give it less than 10! Terrible service. After an hour and a half, they still hadn't come to take a single order. They didn't bring drinks, bread, or even a simple appetizer. The waitress was arrogant and unprofessional. Stay away; there are so many infinitely better places.

21/10/2025: A superb cathedral that houses the body of the evangelist Matthew and the body of a pope in its crypt. That would be enough to make it worth a visit. In addition, the church and the crypt are splendidly painted. It is definitely worth the detour.

17/10/2025: Ustaria Rosella was a unique discovery... an excellent experience! The cod was truly exquisite, perfectly cooked and rich in flavor. The homemade pasta is a real treat; you can taste the quality of the ingredients and the artisanal preparation. The rustic location adds a touch of warmth and authenticity that makes the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for those looking for traditional cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere! We'll definitely be back.

02/09/2025: Located in the square of a small Cilento village, it offers the opportunity for a relaxing al fresco dinner. Traditional dishes, fresh pasta, and homemade desserts. Everything is excellent: quality, generous portions, and prompt service. A classic example of how all you need to eat well is good food. The bill is excellent, too!

28/12/2025: We spent Christmas with our 5-year old in this great little hotel hidden away from the busy town centre of Cava de Tirreni. The room isn't full luxury, a little dated, but it has a lot of personalities. The views from the hotel are stuning. Staff members are super nice and very accommodating, nothing seem a bother. Located behind it is a rather big (late 1300s) cathedral - Territorial Abbey of La Trinità della Cava. This is a "must-see" if you stay at the hotel. I was blown away by the interior of the church as it didn't seem to be much from the outside. It's a lot (a LOT) bigger on the inside. There are guide tours available at price of 3€ to see more than just a main church. One thing to note is that, in case you decided to drive, it's quite a challenging journey. The road is small and windy, loads of blind corners, unless you're familiar with all the streets, or a seasoned Italian driver, I'd recommend to avoid it. There is a local bus (No. 61) that will take you from the hotel to Cava town centre. We had to organise daily taxi pick-up and drop-off from/to the hotel due to Christmas period. But was easy enough to do via WhatsApp messages. You may also want to do a day trip in Pompei while youre here. It's easy to get to by train from the Cava station. And Salerno is only 2 stops away the other direction.
