13/05/2025: In the heart of Spaccanapoli bar with also gluten free options with different choice and excellent frozen artisanal products (heated in the Microwave with special bags to avoid contamination). My celiac son always wanted to go there - too bad the vacation is over - when we got home he asked me to go back and he ate the best gluten free chocolate croissant in the world! Highly recommended!!

13/04/2025: Esperienza terribile... iniziando dal proprietario che è una persona scortese ed antipatica. Servizio lentissimo, dopo 2 ore è arrivato qualcosa a tavola ...un piatto che non so descrivere, frittura con una poltiglia all'interno dal sapore disgustoso. Abbiamo preso poche porzioni per assaggiare ed alla fine rimanevano intatte. L'unica portata gradita è stata i "fagioli alla messicana". Per concludere arrivano 2 paella di pesce al tavolo, io che l'ho mangiata anche in spagna e conosco il sapore ed il costo di questa pietanza quando è fatta bene ,sono rimasta totalmente disgustata, il pesce di certo non era di qualità, probabilmente congelato ...un gusto veramente terribile. Rimaste intatte anche queste. Il conto??? 40 euro a persona,la paella 180? Un conto di quasi 500 euro? Ma stiamo scherzando????? Ovviamente usciti da lì molti di noi sono stati male, dolori allo stomaco, problemi di digestione. Mai e poi mai consiglierei questo posto! Carissimo ed orribile sia per il servizio che per le pietanze di bassissima qualità,un ladro! Scontrino? Nemmeno a parlarne,lo ha scritto a penna!!! Ecco come fanno i soldi oggi

06/04/2025: Update March 2025 (at the bottom) A place for connoisseurs. You won't find the usual Mexican/Spanish tourist cuisine, but typical traditional dishes cooked with the same local recipe. The owner (if you know how to get it, he's a very nice and knowledgeable person) boasts thirty years of experience in South American cuisine on site and does it out of passion. The menu is particular and the products are top quality. The paella (if you want to try his) you will have to book it and not on Saturday because he "only cooks fresh products and the original paella needs 3 hours of preparation". La Madrugada is a culinary experience and as mentioned above is for connoisseurs. The environment is quiet and very small (3/4 tables) so booking is mandatory. The prices are quite high but it can be worth it in terms of value for money. Update March 2025: I confirm that the quality of the place, the freshness of the products and the goodness of the cuisine requires a review of the organisation: in the place there is only the owner and the helper (who however only takes care of the kitchen) and it is the owner who manages the orders, table service and preparation of the dishes, this significantly slows down the arrival of the dishes resulting in you having to wait almost two hours to finally be able to taste the paella; A waiter is necessary to manage orders, especially when you have to explain the dishes on the menu, serve at the tables, welcome customers: it is unthinkable to do everything alone because it inevitably takes time away from preparing the dishes and the wait becomes very long and sometimes unnerving. So you are warned, you will eat well, but the wait will be long

15/04/2025: The maitre d' and the waitress were very kind and helpful, without being intrusive. The chef obviously has a good hand. Special mention for the Azzurro appetizer, truly phenomenal. The menu is perhaps a little reduced in the number of first and second courses, which is not a negative in itself (unless you have very difficult tastes) but rather a guarantee of quality rather than quantity Portions generous but not exaggerated Starter, main course, dessert and glass of wine around 50 euros

13/04/2025: Wonderful experience! The food is excellent and carefully prepared. The staff is extremely kind and helpful, attentive to our every request, even regarding dietary needs related to celiac disease. Attention that really makes the difference! We will definitely return.

07/03/2025: Posto che frequento molto spesso a domicilio e per questo Sam Valentino mia moglie ha proposto di andare a fermarci lì a mangiare. La pizza lì è un miracolo e costa pochissimo Anche se la pizzeria è molto piccola merita 5 stelle per l'impegno del pizzaiolo e per il prezzo accessibile

02/05/2025: "Typical products from Campania" is not the usual restaurant, it's like eating with friends in a family and friendly atmosphere. Few tables, good music and chat with Mr. Leonardo who dedicates truly exquisite attention to customers! But, crucially, it is a treat for the palate! We ate divinely and both the mastery of the preparation and the quality of the raw materials were truly evident in every dish! Delicious aubergine parmigiana and the first courses... I can't find any adjectives: you have to eat them! It will be my point of reference every time I come to Naples!

My Braciola supernova had onion that shouldn't have been there, there were pieces of salami, raisins and pine nuts, but something inside was salty... I didn't perceive the pecorino wafer and everything was a little too soaked in oil. Maybe the cause is the rush to satisfy so many customers in a short time? Then in my opinion, there is a bit of wasted packaging, I would reduce it. I hope it doesn't become a small Neapolitan McDonald's...

25/04/2025: Given its location, you wouldn't expect it. But we ate very well. We had baked pasta with eggplant and sausage, my wife had gnocchi with cherry tomatoes, second course, two nice plates of cotoletta alla sorrentina with a side dish of eggplant a funghetto and courgettes alĺa scapece, desserts: pastiera and torta baba'. Half a litre of very good red wine, for a total of 52 euros. Marked as a fixed destination when we go down to Naples.

08/03/2025: Oggi, Festa della Donna, mia moglie ed io ci siamo "regalati" un ennesima visita alla Tavernetta Vittozzi. Uso il termine "regalati" perché per noi, ogni volta che ci rechiamo in questo locale, è una vera gioia, pari a quella di ricevere un bel regalo. Basta il sorriso e la cordialità con cui vieni accolto a metterti di buon umore e ben predisposto a gustare le pietanze tipiche napoletane che ti riportano subito all' atmosfera del pranzo, da piccolo, a casa della nonna. Paccheri al forno con polpettine, spaghetti con polipetto, filetto di orata gratinato, friarielli, polpette al sugo, crocchè di patate. Tutto cucinato magistralmente con materie prime di indiscutibile prima qualità. Ma sono convinto che gli ingredienti "segreti" sono l'amore e la dedizione profusi in abbondanza dalle quattro sorelle. E che dire della loro pastiera semplicemente MONDIALE e perfettamente rispondente all' autentica ricetta napoletana in un perfetto tripudio di profumi e di sapori. Un brevissimo accenno ai prezzi contenutissimi ed alla portata di tutti. Concludo con un affettuosissimo e sincero GRAZIEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!! Bruno Iavarone

In the heart of the Quartieri Spagnoli, absolute protagonists with all their wonderful slice of life that makes lunch wonderful even from a visual point of view, Raù is an absolute pearl, with exceptional food and courteous and friendly service. The pasta with clams is an absolute masterpiece with fish bought in the fish shop two meters from the restaurant. Absolute masterpiece.
