Beautiful food, friendly staff and refreshing cocktails. Perfect stop just down from our hotel. Visited twice once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times have been great. Definitely worth a stop.

I had dinner this evening at Taverna Sorrentina. A special evening spent with Mattia, Alfonso, and Mimmo. I enjoyed the dishes of Chefs Valerio and Mario. The rich seafood appetizer was excellent... There was nothing missing from the clam soup, mussel soup, roasted octopus, squid and potatoes, stuffed mussels, tempura shrimp, and more... all delicious! Accompanied by a bottle of wine recommended by the restaurant manager, Alfonso! Congratulations!!! We'll be back.

This restaurant was away from the tourist area and it was a beautiful location. Because the food was excellent, we returned 3 times. If I visit Sorrento in the future, I will definitely go back to this restaurant. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had the best home cooked food and the best experience.

I am literally writing this review from the patio of Taverna Sorrentina. We have just enjoyed a lovely platter of meats and cheese as well as some bruschetta and fried zucchini flower. The service has been great and they topped it off with a shot of lemoncello for each of us. It is right on the street so it can be loud but the view makes it worth it. I would love to come back.

A very nice place to have lunch. I took the days special - lemon pasta with tuna, and it was amazing! Tiramisu was also great! The staff was nice and welcoming.

The service is friendly, and the portions are large. The food is okay, but nothing special.
If you like special or refined food, this is not for you.
If you like large portions, or pizza with fries, then you have come to the right place; you have a beautiful view of the bay from the terrace.

Our last night in Sorrento, tired and headed back to the hotel, we thought why not try out this little place. It was packed full of diners! Fourtunately we found a table and they welcomed us with open arms. Pasta was some of the best yet during our trip throughout Italy. The carbonara was excellent. We chatted with other tables, enjoyed good wine, and then 2 rounds of lemoncello! Gave us hugs on the way out like we were part of the family. The next morning, we strolled through the town wasting time before our departure. The server from the night before saw us, called out "buongiorno". So, we went back for a one more dish of the carbonara. Truly a great place to visit.

A four star experience all the way. The eggplant parmigiana was the best part of the meal, and seemed like it was made with the most love.
The table bread was nice, and as noted by another reviewer - the house red wine is too sweet and tastes very cheap. The broccoli was mushy and very evidently frozen before preparation. The canneloni seemed OK. Nothing sucked, and for the price this was a very nice meal.
Extremely attentive service, very easy to walk right in on a Saturday night, and I left pleased - but not at all thinking this was a best meal of the trip. I'm from Northern NJ and this would be a solid option for Italian food there.
