10/04/2026: Excellent sandwiches at a reasonable price. Ideal for young people, couples, and families. I always go on Saturdays, so reservations are recommended. Seating is limited, but it's comfortable, even if it's a bit cramped at times. The staff is young, friendly, and always ready to help. Excellent bread selection. Good selection of beers. Ample outdoor parking. I would improve the restrooms and seating. I highly recommend it.

The food is excellent, and the portions are just right, verging on generous. A wide selection of wines is available. 31/05/2026: A location surrounded by greenery: I went for dinner and found it particularly charming, with the lights and the river flowing below. This restaurant serves specially prepared delicacies, some more sophisticated, showcasing each individual ingredient. Appetizers, first courses, and second courses: everything is truly delicious. Given the formality of the dining room and the friendly staff, it's also ideal for an elegant dinner. A special mention goes to their egg tagliolini, which are perhaps the best we've ever had. Prices are medium-high for a restaurant in a small provincial town, but given the high quality, it's definitely worth a visit for a special occasion.

It has several outdoor tables overlooking the river and a spacious indoor dining room. The menu isn't extensive and features mostly local cuisine. The quality is excellent, with top-quality ingredients, beautifully cooked and presented. The staff is discreet but friendly and helpful. Prices are slightly higher than average. Worth a try.

My contact was Mr. Maurizio, an extremely kind, friendly, and helpful person who handled every detail with great professionalism. Both by phone and WhatsApp, he was always precise, attentive, and ready to satisfy every request, making me feel supported every step of the way. The delivery took place today, punctual and perfectly organized. The mini pastries, rustici, and all the savory specialties were of excellent quality: a wide variety of products, all fresh, tasty, and carefully prepared. The drinks were also perfect and well-stocked. Furthermore, we were provided with all the table settings, a service that once again demonstrates the attention and care that Gran Caffè Romano dedicates to its customers. I can only express my sincere thanks to Maurizio and all the staff for their professionalism, availability, and quality of service. 25/06/2026: A fantastic experience in the heart of Avellino. The quality of the ingredients is evident from the first bite. We tried several pizzas, and each dough was perfectly leavened, with a light, airy crust. We particularly appreciated the selection of pairings, such as the one between savory cheese and crunchy walnuts, which creates a truly successful balance. The place is welcoming and meticulously maintained. We will definitely return to try other specialties on the menu.

28/06/2026: A rustic place located in a cultivated countryside with a farm. Informal and welcoming. Indoor space and some seating on the veranda. Simple but good and plentiful food. Excellent prices. Fixed menu. I recommend booking even a month or two in advance if you want to have lunch on a Saturday or Sunday. There's a farm with well-kept animals, parking, children's playground, a volleyball net, and a basketball hoop. The day flies by really quickly. Very polite staff. There's often quite lively entertainment by RED. The menu includes water and wine. You can bring your own beverages. They also offer the option of setting up a cake corner for photos (if you bring your own cake, you'll need a receipt or list of ingredients). Recommended for those who love a casual atmosphere and a family feel. The walnut cake is highly recommended. You can also order it whole or buy it to take home.

30/03/2026: I went to the Osteria del Gallo e del Volpe on Saturday evening. Although I'm from the province of Avellino, I learned about this place thanks to the Michelin guide. For two, we ordered: an Easter appetizer, soup with Taranto beans and pork belly in teriyaki sauce, laticauda lamb, smoked duck, mille-feuille with Chantilly and dark chocolate, a glass of water, and a glass of Taurasi. Total: €101. Excellent value. Elegant location, exquisite and well-presented food, and a generous glass of Taurasi. Friendly service, always attentive and never intrusive. Negative notes I didn't like the vegetables served with the smoked duck. (The duck was excellent!) The laticauda lamb was delicious, but one of the chops was a bit overcooked and therefore a bit stringy. The service was a bit annoyed by our presence, especially the young man, at the end of the evening, especially since we were the last customers of the evening (so they were quite justified). Excellent experience, worth trying again.

28/03/2026: Osteria is just the name; as soon as you enter, you feel like you're in a high-end restaurant, a "starred" one, to be precise. We booked for Saturday and it certainly lived up to expectations. The tomato soup entree was truly delicious, and the first courses we ordered were beautifully presented and even better in flavor. Perhaps only the dessert didn't live up to the quality of the main courses. The wine list is extensive and the service excellent. Prices are commensurate with the quality. Nothing to complain about.

The pizza was simply spectacular: light dough, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked. The place is truly well-kept and welcoming, perfect for a lovely evening. 16/03/2026: I visited Pietro Crescenzo's Trattoria in Melito Irpino and I must say it was a wonderful, very authentic experience. Here, you can truly experience the atmosphere of a true trattoria, with home-cooked food and traditional Irpinia flavors. We had an appetizer for two and a minestra maritata, simple dishes but truly well-made, with ingredients that taste of home and the local area. The house wine, without a label, paired perfectly with the food. The total bill was €75; probably the only downside is that there's no menu with prices, so it's a bit of a guessing game. That said, for those looking for traditional, authentic, and unfussy cuisine, it's definitely a place worth trying.

05/03/2026: Terrible experience. I'm sorry to have to give this place a bad review because I had high expectations: I'd been there before for a birthday party and found it perhaps the best in the area, so much so that I promised myself I'd return as soon as possible (it's quite far from where I live). First of all, the staff was decidedly rude and uncouth: they were constantly snorting, and the disgusted facial expressions exchanged between colleagues didn't go unnoticed. They would take bottles from the table unfinished, and without even asking permission, they would yell at the kitchen while the customers were still inside. I've never seen such poor service. And yet, it was a Wednesday night; I can't even imagine they were stressed out by the crowd, because the place was empty except for a table of about six people in addition to ours. But, regardless, if they didn't feel like working, they could have easily rejected my reservation. The appetizer was fine, but the cuts of meat were a mess: they tasted good, but we had to throw away practically half of the portion due to the presence of sinew. Furthermore, if you request a certain type of cooking, you have to respect the customer's wishes since they're paying: everything was medium rare, almost rare, even though everyone had requested their preferred cooking. After dinner, dessert, coffee, and liqueur were ordered, the waiters, to make sure they didn't miss out on anything, literally shoved us out the door (it was 11:20 PM, not 1 AM), always with their annoyed manner or, for example, by removing the tablecloth from the table while people were still seated. I think catering isn't for you.
