Trattoria La Quercia In San nicola arcella

My wife and I went there from Praia a Mare in early July 2026. It's a trattoria nestled in the greenery of the San Nicola Arcella hill. A welcoming space and atmosphere. Friendly service. The food is authentic, respecting Calabrian tradition. We ate an antipasto (a typical platter), ravioli alla Sannicolese, and a mixed grill, all accompanied by a good house wine. Everything was delicious. The place was quiet and relaxing, and a light sea breeze brightened the dinner and the conversation. The owner, who welcomed us and said goodbye at the end, was very courteous and helpful. Highly recommended.

The restaurant has a very dramatic entrance. They offer very good traditional dishes. Good value. Really strange: they don't serve coffee.

We were truly impressed by the setting and the food: The Cuisine: Everything was simply exquisite. The dishes are plentiful and of the highest quality, from the homemade pasta to the grilled meats, cooked to perfection on the beautiful open grill. The Ambience and Service: The service was incredibly fast, welcoming, and attentive. The location is truly meticulously maintained and even has a playground, a fantastic feature for families traveling with children. A special thank you for your exceptional kindness: Unfortunately, the evening took an unexpected turn when my daughter became ill from heatstroke during the day, preventing us from finishing our dinner. In a moment of obvious apprehension for us, the owner showed empathy and old-fashioned sensitivity, making a point of easing us into a price. Finding such excellent food combined with such customer care and profound humanity is an absolute rarity. We will definitely return to enjoy the dinner from start to finish. Highly recommended!
