19/08/2026: It's a restaurant, but also a butcher's shop. You choose the meat yourself and it's served at your table. You're spoiled for choice: bombette with caramelized Tropea onions, gnumeriedde, lamb, falda, all delicious and perfectly cooked. Very good local red wines. Impeccable service and very reasonable prices. Recommended!

24/12/2025: A nice small restaurant in Matera center amongst the touristic areas. The food was quite tasty and the people were super friendly. Considering the touristic nature of the place the restaurants are quite pricy you pay more invariably and this place is similar. Considering that they serve authentic local Cuisines and food was good it is recommended.

23/08/2026: Fantastic location overlooking the Sassi of Matera, and inside there's an exhibition of antique objects and utensils (19th and 20th century). Friendly staff, but service is a bit slow. Excellent quality food and good value.

23/08/2026: Lunch overlooking the Sasso Baresano and the Basilica promontory. When will we have another chance? A truly culturally powerful experience, as the restaurant also features a museum of traditional agriculture housed in some of the original underground caves. As for the food: excellent, plentiful, and traditional. The highlight is the handmade orecchiette with tomato, cheese, and mini meatballs, baked in individual earthenware pots. The local appetizer and desserts also fully met our expectations. A 10. Definitely worth a visit when visiting Matera, both for the food and the experience.

Such a strong coherence between idea and execution is rare. The wine list is worthy of note, with a carefully selected and extensive selection. Service: 4/5 Precise, welcoming, professional. The food and wine recommendations are spot on. The only limitation is numerical: additional staff in the dining room would ensure even greater fluidity. The menu selection via QR code is less appealing, as it clashes with the level of experience and forces the use of a phone in a context that deserves the opposite. 27/06/2026: We went to dinner last night with high expectations, enticed by the excellent reviews. The service was poor, and the food quality didn't match the price. In particular, the linguine with red shrimp was so spicy that it completely covered the flavor of the minimal/nonexistent fish. We won't be returning.

Moving on to the food: the quality is excellent, and you immediately notice an impeccable selection of ingredients. The dishes offer excellent flavors and tastes that leave a lasting impression.
