02/04/2025: Microwaved pasta doused in fake truffle oil. Terrible food in general. I’m sure this place was decent 20 years ago, but it was the worst meal we’ve had in Italy by far. It’s a tourist trap and a the food at petrol stations was better. The prices weren’t outrageous, but I wouldn’t have eaten there even half the price. Stay away. This place is a joke.

30/03/2025: Τελος Μαρτη Μια ημερα με διανυκτερευση στη Matera-πεινασμενοι-μας ειχαν συστησει αυτη τη τρατορια,περίπου 200 μ απο το κεντρο,αλλά ουτε κρατηση γινοταν ουτε ανοιγε πριν τις 8μμ Περιμεναμε εξω σε σκεπαστο χωρο-ακριβως 8μμ ξεκλειδωσε η πορτα Ευγενεστατο προσωπικο Χωρος ανετος με τοπικα εκθεματα και καδρα Λιστα κρασιων με τοπικους οινους σε αριστες τιμες,ψητος μπακαλιαρος και ταλιατα εξαιρετικά/λαζανια φουρνου με μελιτζανα και σαλτσα τοματα ηταν <βαριά>/πιατελα τοπικων τυριων πολυ καλη οπως και λευκό κρασι τοπικης ποικιλιας verdeca Value for money όλο το πακέτο! Σας το συνιστώ

26/12/2024: Apparentemente personale accogliente. Chiedo al banco un caffè ristretto e un ginseng amaro. Il caffè bruciato, il ginseng terribile. La macchinetta del ginseng era spenta e l’ha accesa quando ho fatto la mia richiesta. Solitamente “il primo si butta” invece lui me l’ha servito: era acqua tiepida al retrogusto di ginseng. Alla cassa: caffè €1.30 e ginseng €1.50 tutto senza scontrino fiscale. Esperienza pessima. Ps il barista ha visto che ho lasciato la tazza del ginseng piena e non si è degnato neanche di chiedere se ci fossero problemi. SCONSIGLIATISSIMO

03/11/2024: Little place found by chance. Nice atmosphere and very welcoming and friendly owner. We had an appetizer based on black Angus carpaccio and Lucanian canestrato (excellent) and two first courses. Really satisfied

01/04/2025: I ordered the pasta, which was just okay, but the lamb stew was terrible; the meat was so fatty that I couldn’t eat it. I suggest using a different part of the lamb and opting for higher-quality meat because they are charging high prices for it! To make matters worse, I was surprised to find that a salad—consisting of nothing but lettuce and which I did not order—was added to my bill. Along with the "coperto" and the water, I ended up paying €46 for small portions of mediocre food. I was very dissatisfied and regretted not spending my money at a better restaurant.

08/02/2025: I have known this place for several years and when we have the opportunity my wife and I happily travel 30 km to reach it and enjoy a good pizza in a location with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. And in summer it offers a place outside where you can often enjoy pleasant fresh air to spend pleasant evenings. A guarantee, never a disappointment.

11/01/2025: Terrible service and non-existent organization We were very disappointed with our experience at this pizzeria. The pizzas arrived early, while we were still eating the starters, creating confusion and inconvenience. Subsequently, when we asked to order dessert, the waiter practically kicked us out of the place, abruptly informing us that the table had already been booked for the next round. We felt very pressured and mistreated, as if our presence was a nuisance. Such poor service completely ruins the dining experience which would not have been excellent anyway. We absolutely do not recommend this place

24/02/2025: Il Calanco è una struttura di tipo familiare, rustica e accogliente che da tempo rappresenta un’eccellenza nel territorio pisticcese. Si contraddistingue per la genuinità del personale che ci lavoro, attento ad accogliere ogni tua richiesta, per la bontà dei piatti serviti, la maggior parte a km zero e per i sapori intensi e veraci tipico della tradizione lucana. Se volete vivere un’esperienza di vitto e alloggio lontana da stress e da inutili sofisticazioni questo è il posto che fa per voi. Insomma al Calanco si mangia bene e si dorme meglio. Bravo Giuseppe, bravi tutti!!!!!

24/02/2025: Siamo stati ospiti dell' agriturismo nel fine settimana. La struttura, a conduzione familiare, è situata in campagna, con ambienti rustici ma belli, curati e puliti. Ottima la cena con piatti tipici legati alla tradizione locale, molto buoni dall’antipasto al dolce. Personale gentile e accorto ad ogni esigenza degli ospiti. Assolutamente da consigliare per una vacanza in relax immersi nel verde della campagna lucana.

29/12/2024: It is a buffet style and you can choose your food. My husband and I ate salad, 1 pasta, fried squid, 1 fish dish, 1 cola and bread and paid 40 euros. The food was the most delicious I had in Matera, and the price was the cheapest. Be sure to visit here. I really recommend it.

02/03/2025: Excellent family-run farmhouse, very kind and friendly staff, they make the customer feel as if he were at home. We stayed one day, really comfortable rooms with all the comforts present. Breakfast and lunch were very, very good as can be seen from the photos. We will definitely be back Compliments!!!

17/02/2025: The first thing that struck us was the kindness of the staff, we were almost 2 hours late due to a car problem and they still welcomed us even with the kitchen practically closed, maintaining a noteworthy kindness and hospitality. We were also very satisfied with the cuisine, exceptional fish starters! Finally, the environment, well cared for, romantic but without appearing fake. It was truly a great discovery!
