19/07/2025: Mozzarella, ricotta, caciocavallo, and so on...made right in the dairy. Excellent focaccia and many other local delicacies. I haven't tried everything, but I assure you, the ingredients are top-quality. A must-try if you're in Bernalda. Fairly priced.

08/09/2025: The sea 🌊 the 🌞 sun, tranquility, in a comfortable, clean, family-friendly environment and a golden sandy beach to enjoy the silence of the Lucanian land at an exceptional price/quality. It's a shame summer is over. We look forward to 2026. Great preparation by the owner Angelo 😇 and all his truly exceptional staff. The seaside restaurant 🌊 is also a gem worth trying and not to be missed.

07/09/2025: Wonderful beach. We stayed at the Oasi for a week in September and were welcomed and treated with courtesy and kindness. The staff were friendly and helpful, the prices were fair, the location was crystal-clear, the beach clean and well-maintained, and the restaurant served a limited but delicious menu! A 10/10 experience in Basilicata.

17/09/2025: It is located near the magnificent abbey...in a charming medieval street....a quiet place.... We were welcomed by the legendary Giuseppe...a kind person...attention to the smallest details in the entire management of the inn....an excellent chef...we ate very well....the table service was taken care of by a very polite girl...attentive and helpful....our applause is well deserved....we wish Giuseppe many recognitions and successes... 17/11/2025: Terrible service on Saturdays (and I don't know about other days) as soon as you finish your pizza they throw the receipt in your face, one of the waitresses even told us we can just not pay and never come back...

16/11/2025: Please note that the stars awarded are reserved exclusively for the tiramisu review. Mascarpone is missing, replaced exclusively with cream. The biscuits are toasted and have an unpleasant texture, similar to wet cardboard. Poor value for money, and finally, there was no egg at all. Even though it was poor, we waited a long time for this tasting.

03/11/2025: Sala Ermica, the place that made us dream, the place that welcomed us for our wedding... Wonderful day 😍 And what can we say about Anna, the owner? She's a delightful person, very approachable, extremely knowledgeable about everything, very professional, and incredibly friendly. 🤭 We can only compliment Maitre Walter, who was so attentive to every moment; he even "sequestered" us at our table so we could eat at least one course the entire day. This truly touched us, because he showed a level of thoughtfulness we'd never seen before. Our compliments to the chef, he has golden hands. Whatever he cooks comes to life. Every single dish we tasted, every single one we ate, well, left you speechless. Every ingredient was perfectly proportioned, and even things we don't eat or like every day had a completely different flavor when cooked by him. Sublime. Everything was magically sublime! 06/06/2025: Very nice restaurant with good food and very friendly service. A very warm welcome from the kitchen, good Prosecco, and a fantastic dessert (caramel cocoa tart)! We'd be happy to go back! The waiter made a real effort to speak Italian slowly, so we were able to understand him well despite our holiday Italian. So much more pleasant than being spoken to in English despite having limited Italian skills :)

The owner is not only an excellent host, but is also always available for a chat, sharing helpful information about the city and its attractions. The quality of the croissants and our cappuccinos was excellent, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. Il Sedile is a place where even non-Matera visitors will feel at home. The owner is always ready to provide valuable information and recommendations for places to visit. In short, Il Sedile is highly recommended for anyone visiting Matera. The combination of warm service, high-quality products, and a welcoming, non-touristy atmosphere makes this place an experience we'll never forget. Stop for a bite to eat and a chat with the owner – it's definitely worth it!

20/08/2025: In the picturesque setting of Montescaglioso, the Gallitelli butcher shop stands out for its vast selection of meats, especially its horsemeat. The carefully prepared meats, both for takeout and for dining in, are grilled and top-quality. The spacious interior and outdoor space accommodate large banquets. Highly recommended.

31/10/2025: The atmosphere in the restaurant is magical and the service is top-notch! But that's it. The food is mediocre. In their desire to offer something different, it turns out that the offerings are shockingly bad! Apparently after changing the address, they lost their chef along the way.

27/10/2025: We had dinner with a couple of friends at this restaurant on the recommendation of our host in Matera. It was a truly positive experience. The restaurant is well-kept, and we were looked after by a very kind and helpful waitress, who also gave us recommendations. The traditional dishes were truly excellent, and the portions were generous. Highly recommended!

10/08/2025: A highly recommended place – everything here is just right. From the moment you enter, you are warmly greeted and looked after by the extremely friendly staff. The menu offers a very good selection, the quality of the food and drinks is outstanding, and everything is offered at absolutely fair prices. One detail that particularly stands out: The restrooms are exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and – something unusual in Italy – equipped with a toilet seat and sufficient toilet paper. This shows how much emphasis is placed on comfort and cleanliness here. No matter what time of day you come – whether for breakfast, a relaxed lunch, a leisurely dinner, or just for a drink – you always feel welcome here. The location is perfect: right in the center and directly across from the church, so you can wonderfully observe the hustle and bustle of the town. A place you'll gladly return to and one I can wholeheartedly recommend.
