02/06/2026: This pastry shop and café on the main street in Bernalda (MT) offers fragrant, delicious croissants for breakfast. They offer a wide selection of pastries, but their specialty is their "scorzette," which they ship all over Italy and abroad. The shop is well-maintained and very clean, with tables outside. The friendly staff at the counter, Teresa and Luciana, are incredibly helpful.

08/05/2026: My husband and I ate at this restaurant last night beautifully set in a Sassi Cave. The food was incredible! The sauces, pastas and meat dishes were wonderfully cooked to perfection. The chef and cook put their heart and soul into their craft and you could taste it in every bite! I would highly recommend having dinner here when in Matera!!

16/03/2026: A truly pleasant discovery. The two appetizers, octopus and shrimp carpaccio, were exceptional. It's hard to choose the best. After the deliciousness of the appetizer, I expected a little more from the first course (linguine with scampi), even though it was still very good. The only downside was the service was a bit slow, but that didn't detract from the experience. I'll definitely be back!

06/12/2025: Perfect! A beautiful property in an old building, centrally located, with a view of the Sassi. Comfortable yet luxurious rooms, with attention to every detail. The friendly, helpful manager and staff make you feel at home.

28/10/2025: We just dropped in for an aperitivo on their beautiful terrace overlooking Matera. The service was wonderful and incredibly friendly, and it's worth stopping by. We happened to be there just as the entire city was lighting up, so the view was even more stunning. We recommend the 007 cocktail.

The peperoni cruschi (cruschi peppers) deserve special mention, truly exceptional. A highly recommended place for those seeking quality and tradition.

07/07/2026: We were passing through Mater and this lovely, small but well-kept restaurant was recommended to us. We ate very well, and the service was pleasant and professional. Special mention goes to the cruschi peppers and the fava beans and chicory, which gave us a taste of the local cuisine. We'll definitely be back.

24/08/2025: In the heart of the village of Aliano, the baking expertise comes to life, creating exquisite sweet and savory treats. Needless to say, everything is exquisite, carefully prepared, and served with kindness. The shop also has a couple of tables, in addition to those available outside.

21/08/2025: A great find! A bakery with a wide variety of fresh and delicious baked goods, from classic breads to local specialties. The quality is evident, and the selection is varied. The option of relaxing at the outdoor tables is also very pleasant. Ideal for those who want to enjoy something delicious in a simple and welcoming atmosphere. Recommended!

15/05/2026: A truly terrible experience... First, the welcome: nonexistent. The owner doesn't look at you, doesn't greet you... doesn't even say goodbye after taking your payment. Not a word... nothing. It seems he only greets Italians he knows. We were seated at a table, a sort of folding table, next to a jumble of objects, giving the impression of eating in a storage room. We asked to change tables, which was refused on the pretext that it was reserved (a couple arrived shortly after and were given a choice of three tables, including the supposedly reserved one...). Finally, let's talk about the food. We knew it wasn't sophisticated, but it was especially bad. It tasted like a collection of pre-made ingredients! In short, the worst restaurant experience since we've been in Italy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

11/05/2026: Really good vegetarian zucchini croquettes on a bed of rocket. Raw Garlic yogurt salsa. A platter of roasted vegetables in which each flavor was magnified and pronounced. Best vegetarian meal in Italy by far

01/06/2026: Excellent hotel to stay in the area. Clean, comfortable, and very cozy. Perfect air conditioning and not noisy. They have an excellent restaurant and a private beach with sun loungers and a restaurant on the sea.
