16/05/2026: We went to Lampara for lunch on a weekday. The place is small but cozy, with friendly and helpful staff. We only ordered fish dishes, which, unfortunately, were of poor quality, from appetizers to main courses. I had higher expectations for this place. It was a disappointing experience. The prices were high for the quality offered: we paid €83 for two, with just one appetizer, two first courses, and a bland grilled meat for a main course. Perhaps we just had a bad day. Given this background, I don't think we'll return.

Everything was simply extraordinary: impeccable organization, attention to every detail, elegance, professionalism, and a care that made us feel truly supported at every moment. A special thank you goes to Maria Teresa, who accompanied us from start to finish with rare kindness, patience, and availability. She was by our side every step of the way, always present, attentive, and ready to reassure us. Thanks to her, we were able to experience our wedding with serenity and happiness, stress-free, and feeling truly pampered. The entire staff contributed to making that day unforgettable, but Maria Teresa will forever be one of the people who made the magic we experienced possible. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for turning our dream into something even more beautiful than we could have imagined.

It's not just a bar, but a piece of Matera's history, as evidenced by the beautiful photo hanging on the wall depicting one of the founders: the resemblance to the current owner is incredible and speaks louder than words to the dedication and continuity with which this establishment is run with love and passion. The café has the authentic charm of old-fashioned cafés, where time seems to pass more slowly. It's the perfect place to unwind while strolling through the alleyways, sipping a perfectly crafted espresso. The service is impeccable, friendly, and warm, making you immediately feel part of the history of this place. If you're in Matera, stopping by here isn't just a stop, it's an authentic experience. Highly recommended.
