26/03/2025: A new place or recently renovated quite well, too bad about the choice of (cold) lights which give the white/grey furniture an air of a canteen. As for the food, we had some pizzas on the plate and even if they were a little salty they were good.

15/07/2024: Small brewery (literally) a few steps from the heart of the city center, away from the hustle and bustle of people who crowd the evenings; a small gem where you can enjoy a beer in total relaxation. The offer of beers is varied and well cared for by the owners, with the opportunity to taste always new beers and often discover real pearls of the Italian and European brewing tradition. Now it is, for me, a mandatory stop when I go to Matera. Highly recommended.

03/11/2024: Fantastic discovery to say the least! We were in the village for a short stay, fantastic welcome, everyone was super kind and friendly, food beyond expectations! Small tip, try all the starters, they are exceptional, the first course with crusco pepper is delicious. If we are passing through or in the surrounding area, Il Caminetto will be our fixed stop! 30/12/2024: The worst experience in my 4 years living in Italy. The restaurant does not accept criticism of its food, and its staff instantly becomes aggressive and defensive. We simply mentioned that the portion was small (it costs 14 euros a plate) and the waiters and the cook started arguing and fighting with us. The food is expensive and the portions are ridiculously small. The service is a disaster: it took them 45 minutes to bring us the drinks, they charge you for the cutlery and they don't bring you bread and they served us one plate at a time, even though there were 5 people at the table. The staff are rude and aggressive and treated us like annoying tourists. The two young waiters, a boy and a girl, were especially hostile and defensive from the beginning. Even though we did not raise our voices, they behaved aggressively and defiantly. The situation became even more serious when the cook came out of the kitchen and yelled at us in front of the entire restaurant, wanting to fight. We even heard them speaking Italian to each other, as if they didn't understand that we could understand what they were saying about us. These people ruined our day and it's a shame that a place like this is ruining the image of Italian hospitality.

04/04/2025: The products of the Sant'Anna bakery are always very good. Every time I go down I always take at least two packs of Buccuniett with me to Parma. Tina, Angelo and Lucia are always very kind.
