Everything was good, plentiful, and traditional. We spent a lovely evening in one of the most beautiful squares in Matera's historic center. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Very good for an aperitif stop at midday, but you pay a cover charge (0.5€ per person) and dried fruit (2.5€), shaded and cool, view of the square of the church of San Giovanni Battista

We stopped for a quick lunch and had a great time!! The guy is super kind, polite, and patient. We ordered a variety of cured meats and cheeses (all excellent), pickled vegetables, and cruschi peppers. Everything was fantastic!!

The wine was delicious, and so were the pannini. Crispy and aromatic. We also ordered a plate of pickled vegetable appetizers. I recommend them.

16/07/2026: Tonino the owner is a legend, the pasta with beans and mussels is good, as is the cod... outdoor seating, book... otherwise you won't be able to eat. If you seem nice, then you'll have fun with him.
15/07/2026: This seaside restaurant is a must-try, a kiosk with a large veranda specializing in seafood. I recommend ordering the selection of hot and cold appetizers, the peppered mussels, and the fried mixed seafood. The portions are generous, and the service is basic but excellent. We'll be back to Tonino's to try the rest of the menu. Thank you.
