11/09/2025: Compared to last year, there's been a drastic drop in preparation and quality of the dishes offered. Fried calamari consists of only the tails and a few tentacles. The rest of the mantle is used to prepare skewers, which, quite paltry, were priced at €2.50 each. The flavors also leave much to be desired. We've been there several times last year and always had a great experience. Too bad...

24/08/2025: Il Cacciatore is the local restaurant's go-to. Homemade cuisine, top-quality food, and generous portions alone would be enough to define this place. The hospitality, professionalism, and helpful staff make it even better. And that's not all: the prices are very affordable. The value for money is incredible; you eat a lot, everything is delicious, and it's very cheap. If you're passing through, you can't miss it, but even if you live far away and want to take a trip, you won't regret it. 👍🏼

12/09/2025: Total disappointment. I'd really like to see those who give this... God forgive me, restaurant five stars. The fact that the place doesn't close for lunch should have already raised my suspicions. But the 4.6 rating did its job. We arrived at 8:00 PM. The appetizers arrived 45 minutes later. This despite there being only four other tables occupied besides ours. We ordered a pasta dish and a main course, explicitly asking for them to be brought together. The result? My husband ate the pasta while I watched. I asked for my main course, some fish, to be cleaned. They cleaned it in the kitchen and forgot about it, bringing it to me cold. We didn't even feel like arguing. The location leaves much to be desired. The final straw was the table next to ours, where people who seemed to be friends of the staff were sitting: they brought them dishes that weren't even on the menu. It was extremely unpleasant. What less do we have? Location: 2/5. Service: 3/5. Food: 2/5. The final blow was the bill: 95 euros.

05/10/2025: Please note that this review refers to gluten-free pizzas for celiacs. I travel a lot for work and have had the opportunity to try various doughs, including frozen ones, like this one. This one isn't good: thick and soft in the center with a low, crunchy edge. I had the Cossack with tomato and pecorino cheese, and it had an undefined flavor. They only have gluten-free pizza bases and a beer. As the manager said, they only keep them to accommodate groups that require gluten-free pizzas. No appetizers, no welcome. Furthermore, it's unclear why, depending on the type of pizza, just changing the base can sometimes increase the price by €3, other times by €4, or €5! On the menu, there's a section of gluten-free pizzas with 4-5 pizzas listed, implying that the rest are contaminated. Then, speaking to the manager, he says you can choose the flavors you want by asking the staff. Finally, when it was time to pay, he asked me how it went, and when I said no, he launched into a tirade about personal tastes, completely unheeding anyone's opinions, and with a dismissive, oppositional, and closed-minded attitude. It's clear he has the basics to please the customer in question, but it bothers him.

05/10/2025: Excellent pizzas, ZERO courtesy for customers. Started eating at 8.30pm, 9.58pm forced to vacate the table, asked for dessert, all that was said was a coffee, an unheard of disgrace and a serious matter, outside we met other customers who had suffered the same treatment.

18/10/2025: A new location, much more typical of Abruzzo. Very good first courses, and delicious, well-cooked, handmade arrosticini. The lady in charge, always smiling and friendly, accommodated us, even with a few small changes to the menu. Excellent value for money. We'll be back.

28/09/2025: If you're looking for an authentic place, with local products and a warm welcome that makes you feel instantly at home, La Cantina di Lara is the perfect choice. The charcuterie and cheese platters are a real treat: select ingredients and pairings that showcase the typical flavors of Abruzzo. The wines are also top-notch, perfect for accompanying each course. A plus that really makes the difference? The owners, who welcomed us with a sincere smile and a warmth that is not at all predictable. It was a pleasure to chat with them throughout the evening: genuine, helpful, and truly passionate about their work. Highly recommended, whether for an evening with friends or a more intimate moment, where good food, excellent wine, and human warmth come together perfectly!

04/10/2025: We travel frequently for business and/or pleasure. We rarely give a restaurant 5 stars because perfection is difficult to achieve. Taverna del Marinaio in Lanciano fully deserves 5 stars! Unsurpassed value for money. Excellently prepared food, everything is refined and fresh. The service, evening meal pairings, and wine selection are extraordinary. The location is breathtaking. This restaurant demonstrates the entire staff's passion for food and wine. The restaurant is spotless, as are the restrooms. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The dining room staff is very knowledgeable about gastronomy and the entire world of wine. We will definitely be back!

The arrosticini, freshly prepared, were served with special attention: we ordered four of them, and they were brought to us as they were ready, hot and fragrant, thus enhancing their deliciousness. The ravioli were also highly appreciated, with their well-balanced combinations and delicate yet firm dough, a sign of careful and well-executed cuisine. 13/09/2025: Our first evening in Pescara, and the food was delicious! We got a table outside. It was lovely sitting there despite the busy street. We started with some antipasti, including Pallotte cacio e uova, meatballs made with bread, cheese, and egg. A local dish and absolutely delicious. And of course, we had to try the arrosticini. We got 5 each. So delicious. I could have eaten all 15! And finally, a pistachio dessert. What a successful evening. Highly recommended!!

07/09/2025: Returned after some time. The arrosticini were half-burned and unsalted (€1.40 each, small), the appetizers disappointing, and the grilled vegetables in oil. We were in a rush for the second round, but then no one showed up. Disappointing.
