21/10/2025: We moved to Abruzzo, a wonderful land, and we tasted typical Abruzzese dishes... delicious... well, I recommend you first of all... Ristorante il Setaccio. Fresh pasta made by them is a real delicacy. Plus, the owners are wonderful people.

23/08/2025: We stopped at this place, discovered by chance, for a bite to eat. Aside from the hospitality of the staff, who were truly kind and helpful both to us and our dog, the food and service were perfect. The atmosphere was convivial and relaxing. I recommend the tasting menu with their recommended wine or beer pairings. We'll be returning to Rome satisfied. If you're ever in the Trabocchi Coast, definitely stop by. A friendly recommendation.

30/11/2025: Excellent service and food, wonderful location! The owner is a delightful person, kind and professional. At the end of the meal, given it was my birthday, he gave us a complimentary bottle of his own prosecco, a truly appreciated gesture! I absolutely recommend it.

23/09/2025: An intense experience sampling the chef's dishes, all refined and delicious. Worthy of note are the saffron and Taleggio tavioli, and the veal creamed with Montepulciano. Recommended.

04/09/2025: Set amongst the postcard perfect backdrop of Monte Velino, this is without doubt a textbook hidden gem quaint town restaurant. If the drive to Rosciolo dei Marsi isn’t spectacular enough, it is matched with an equally spectacular dining experience at Locanda dell’Arco. The cuisine is a far cry from the usual suspects found in most abruzzese restaurants… this is next level. The restaurant is run by a young husband and wife team, with the husband heading the kitchen. The Chef has brought his Piemontese culinary roots into the heart of Abruzzo, with a menu that respects both tradition but also with a flair of innovation. The menu is small and hand written, ensuring it’s align with what’s seasonal and available at its best. The wine is in a league of its own, expect small batch barolo, barbera d’asti and barbaresco, amongst many others, all hand picked by the passionate couple. The chef’s wife, who leads the service, highly recommended the carpaccio di manzo with mandarin and basil sorbet. Let’s just say, I drove 2 hours to arrive at this restaurant and would travel 2 hours again just for this dish. Refreshing, clean and refined, without being pretentious, it set the pace for what was to be a memorable meal. As a Piemontese should be, the chef is famed for his risotto, today it was zafferanno with liquorice, his signature dish I apparently. No this is not something i would ever order without a recommendation, so I’m lucky I asked. This was without doubt the best risotto I’ver ever had, it wasn’t to be expected in a small remote town in the middle of Abruzzo, but this was just spectacular. To finish, another Piemontese classic, bonet. A chocolate and amaretto dessert that was probably the best spoon of food I’ve had in a very long time in an Italian restaurant. Luckily we ordered two of the same as it would be criminal to share. The desserts are truly outstanding and if I was a guts, I’d probably would have ordered two! The experience at Locanda was unexpectedly exceptional. The staff, the meal, the location, this is a restaurant that begs to be revisited and well worth a day dream even from Rome! Thank you Locanda dell’Arco for a memorable experience.

08/09/2025: I attended an event called Mare=Campo a few nights ago, and I can say that despite it being a combined evening with food and drink stands and a DJ set, I was overall more than satisfied with the quality of the food, the atmosphere, the wine selection for the occasion, and, of course, the entire setting, including the music. I congratulate them because you can never take anything for granted when you attend an organized event, and I must also compliment them on the treatment they gave us, given that we were a large group. Betty is an excellent host, and the entire team was friendly and super efficient. My compliments, and I'm sure I'll be returning to events or to try the à la carte menu soon.

05/11/2025: We came here for lunch during our visit to Chieti at the suggestion of our b&b’s owner. They were booked for dinner so we went for lunch and were so glad we did. Everything was wonderful, the views, the food, the service!! We left extremely full and happy. It’s a fixed menu with a set price. We had a bit of trouble finding the restaurant so we walked there from another location after asking for directions.

31/08/2025: Waiting times are completely unreasonable for the value for money! Worst pizza we've ever eaten in Italy. Outrageously low-class, like a train station with the noise level and the ambiance is terrible. Definitely not recommended!

26/08/2025: Nice place inside with friendly and helpful staff, even giving us a table without waiting. The pizzas are tasty and filling. Prices are a little high.

01/12/2025: Abruzzo A Tavola is the ideal restaurant for those who want to savor traditional Abruzzo cuisine in a welcoming, family-friendly setting. The restaurant has a warm, rustic atmosphere, perfect for an evening with friends. The service is friendly and attentive. I tried the guitar pasta with lamb sauce, flavorful and well-balanced, and the tender and succulent grilled meat. The traditional desserts, such as the ricotta tart, are a sweet end to the meal. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality and quantity of the dishes. If you want to discover authentic Abruzzo cuisine, Abruzzo A Tavola is an excellent choice.

06/12/2025: Located in the heart of L'Aquila's city center, just steps from the illuminated fountain. The restaurant is small but welcoming, clean, and well-organized. Its style is minimalist yet essential. It goes without saying that the main dish is the infamous handmade arrosticini. The classic ones are fabulous, and the liver ones are divine! The staff are friendly and attentive. I will gladly return if I'm in the area again! Highly recommended. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food.

15/10/2025: Everything was perfect! One of the best restaurants with a good quality/price ratio. We opted for the multi-course menu and everything was delicious! To make us happy, they even offered us two starters. The owner was super kind and available to give us tips on what to see in the area.

04/12/2025: Spectacular Lord of the Rings-themed venue. The staff is super friendly, especially the owner's father, Vittorio, who is knowledgeable and welcoming. We highly recommend the arrosticini, which are top-notch. We'll definitely be back.

30/11/2025: The place is not very beautiful from an aesthetic point of view. As a local from L'Aquila, this is the first time I've entered this place, which I've heard a lot about, and I have to say that the 25 arrosticini weren't that great. The 5 breaded chicken pieces were good. The three mutton chops were lamb, unless the mutton was a dwarf and had a small rib cage when alive. The owner even taught me how to eat the dwarf mutton with my hands. What a joke. Anyway, the meat wasn't good and it wasn't cooked on the grill. What a joke. The 200-day-old hamburger wasn't good. The bread I had to ask for to eat it was either half dry or half reheated, I don't know. The French fries, beer, and Coke were good, I'd say. The water was excellent. I paid too much, almost 90 euros. I paid 5 covers for 4 plates, 4 glasses, 4 cutlery on the table. There were 5 of us, but with a 2-year-old child. I'd say there was little attention from some of the staff...too much money in the till...being taken for a ride I won't be back...

29/11/2025: An unassuming place (easy to miss walking down the street) with delicious, light and very tasty, pizza and a great atmosphere. All thanks to the very friendly owner. He not only helped us choose a pizza but also offered us gratis a different kind. Such people create the true atmosphere of such places. If we return to the Ortona area, we will definitely visit this place again.
