I had the pleasure of staying at La Bandiera, a charming property located in the heart of Abruzzo. The experience was simply exceptional, fully deserving of its 5-star rating.
Dinner was a culinary journey through the authentic flavors of the region, with dishes expertly prepared using the highest-quality local ingredients. The chef flawlessly combined tradition and innovation.
The room was comfortable and elegant, ensuring a restful sleep in a relaxing atmosphere.
Breakfast in the morning perfectly complemented the stay, offering a wide selection of sweet and savory delicacies, all fresh and delicious.
The staff was attentive and friendly, helping make the stay even more enjoyable.

25/04/2026: A fantastic experience amidst the winding roads of Abruzzo. After a motorcycle ride through Guardiagrele, Casoli, the Verde River springs in Fara San Martino, Palena, Campo di Giove, and Pacentro, we crossed the San Leonardo Pass and stopped for lunch at Locanda del Barone in San Vittorino (descending just before Caramanico).
The restaurant is wonderful, with a beautifully landscaped outdoor garden, perfect for relaxing. Lunch was top-notch: on the owner's recommendation, we opted for three starters, all perfect. We then continued with superb handmade arrosticini and exceptional roast lamb. The dessert, a lemon tart, was also excellent.
The value for money is amazing, with the bill being decidedly modest considering the high quality of the dishes. We wanted to show our biker friends from Bari the best of Abruzzo, and thanks to this lunch, we achieved perfection. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! Booking in advance is recommended.

11/11/2025: This restaurant deserves a 5 in every way. Every dish is an explosion of flavors in your mouth, and there's a research and attention to detail that doesn't go unnoticed. Kudos to the entire staff, especially Matteo. And as I told you in person, if I lived in Pescara, I'd come there for lunch and dinner every day. You're the best 🤩🫶

Three of us ordered three different antipasti, mains and then desserts. There was not a dish in 9 that I did not enjoy thoroughly.

A youthful and intimate atmosphere, with limited seating, offers a unique experience that allows you to enjoy excellent dishes without too much background noise. Excellent service, both in terms of friendliness and speed in getting orders to your table. As for the dishes, there's nothing more to say...they speak for themselves! The presentation is always aesthetically pleasing, colorful (they're a feast for the eyes), with flavors both classic and original, always excellent, and portions that allow you to explore every section of the menu without feeling overwhelmed. A restaurant I would recommend to anyone, vegan or otherwise, who happens to be in the area. You won't regret it!

02/07/2026: The place is very large and quite noisy, people don't talk but shout, the service didn't live up to expectations, the wait was long for the appetizers, but they were good, then the first paccheri with scampi, the pasta was raw, but the chitarra with scampi and truffle was raw, in short, I didn't like the service at all
05/06/2026: I'm a loyal customer. The staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. The food is authentic and delicious! My son celebrated his 18th birthday there, and he and his friends had a wonderful time! I often take advantage of the takeout because I'm a couch potato, but treating myself to an evening in is always nice... see you soon.

08/03/2026: I celebrated my 50th birthday there. They were fantastic. Among my guests was a nickel-intolerant person who complimented me on how they took care of her. The waiters were all kind, friendly, and attentive. Rocco, Marialuce, and Fabrizio were excellent. The chef, for me, is Michelin-starred; all the courses were tasty, colorful, and beautifully presented. Then there was the hostess, Luana, who was impeccable. I had an additional request for the cake, and she completely accommodated me. She made me delicious mini Pavlovás. Thank you so much for making this day unforgettable. ❤️
