07/05/2026: Based on the ratings we expected great food and experience although very far from it. The fish was dry, over cooked, and even burned as well as the vegetables not being fresh and dry. We were never asked if it was fine with very limited service. We certainly expected much better for 100 euros for two before drinks. Extremely disappointing especially that there are so many great restaurants in Venice. Also could hardly speak English.

The cuisine was impeccable: carefully prepared dishes, quality ingredients, and perfectly balanced flavors. Each course demonstrated the attention and passion dedicated to service and cuisine.
A special thanks to Riccardo, a rare kindness and helpful person, capable of creating a warm and pleasant atmosphere that made the experience even more special.

IL Mercante was one of the highlights of our trip to Venice! The atmosphere was fantastic, the service excellent, and the cocktails were outstanding.
A special thank you to Gianmana, who made every visit memorable with excellent service and great recommendations. The absolute star of the menu was the Battery Charger cocktail without a doubt the best drink we had in Venice. It was so good that it became our daily tradition to stop by for one.
If you're visiting Venice and looking for an amazing bar experience, IL Mercante is a must-visit. We can't wait to come back!
01/06/2026: Super tasty cocktails and very friendly and staff that clearly enjoy talking about these amazing cocktails. The cocktails were interesting, each with a twist and a story, in a lively spot. Another cocktail bar that we will definitely come back to!

From the first moment, you can tell the place is top-notch, very top-notch! From the details, to the decor, to the staff's image.
Super friendly and attentive, never intrusive!
We had a wonderful evening and the food was divine! From the raw seafood platter, to the linguine with sea urchins, and the signature dish—and I mean, the tuna rib! (Devastating)

We chose it to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary, and the staff decorated everything in a themed way for the occasion!
The waiters were very helpful and friendly, the menu was delicious, and the organization was top-notch!
I highly recommend it. The manager, Roberta, is very helpful and will make every moment unforgettable.

21/05/2026: Amazing service: as soon as you walk in, you immediately feel at home, warmly welcomed and treated wonderfully. The food is even better; the toasts are incredibly soft and delicious. The spirits are a gem, made by a master craftsman. And I swear, even the canned Sprite seemed to have come straight from Wonderland. It's an incredible place, I'll be back soon.

13/06/2026: The buratta was really yummy definitely recommend! We also had the ravioli and gnocchi, as well as the sea bass with vegetables. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful!
