We just had a wonderful evening at Regina Sconta.
The staff is very pleasant and attentive, the setting and atmosphere are warm and inviting, and the food is excellent (sophisticated yet simple, with perfect cooking and seasoning).
A special note for the foodie in me:
The pear and cinnamon mille-feuille is delicious. The Chantilly cream was perfectly balanced, not too sweet, the cinnamon just right, the pear pieces slightly stewed, and the flaky pastry very tasty. A beautiful combination! 🙂

Our family (two adults and five teenagers) had our favorite meal of the trip at Regina Sconta.
It’s a bit of a hidden spot—tucked down an alley with no outdoor seating—and the atmosphere is simple, nothing elaborate. But once the food arrives, that fades quickly. From the first bite to the last, every dish is thoughtfully prepared and delivers serious depth of flavor.
We ordered broadly across the menu: squid ink pasta, scorpion fish pasta special, white asparagus with truffle, duck ragu pasta, veal ossobuco, and beef cheeks. Nearly everything was outstanding. The squid ink pasta was the best version we had across more than a dozen meals in Venice—rich, balanced, and perfectly executed. The scorpion fish pasta and duck ragu were also very good, and both the veal ossobuco and beef cheeks were deeply flavorful and properly. The only dish we wouldn’t order again was the white asparagus with truffle, which didn’t quite reach the same level as the rest.
Dessert was a highlight. The pear mille-feuille is still something I think about—crisp, buttery layers, smooth Italian pastry cream, and perfectly tender pears. The tiramisu was solid, though more traditional than standout.
This is a place I’ll return to every time I’m in Venice. If you care more about exceptional food than ambiance, Regina Sconta absolutely delivers.

We had one of the best dining experiences of our lives at Regina Sconta today. It was my wife’s birthday so we took our time over 7 courses for lunch. Pepo was a brilliant host and even matched the wines for our food. A memorable day - thank you Pepo for your excellent service!

What a lovely spot to have dinner! Not only was the food amazing but the staff went above and beyond to make our dinner memorable.

I cannot believe that this place exists and have not enough words of praise to describe its excellence. From the smiles and caring service to the tantalising, sublime Italian food, Regina Sconta is one of the most exquisite restaurants I have ever visited. When I devoured the most delicately and lovingly made risotto bursting with flavour, I couldn't believe that food could be this good! Regina Sconta just may be the best restaurant in Venice!
