A pleasant discovery, highly recommended!
02/04/2026: We visited this rather basic trattoria. The service was excellent, attentive, and fast. We tried the pasta with clams, which was quite good, and a second course of John Dory. We spent €40, a decent price-quality ratio.
Positive experience.

05/04/2026: We were initially told to sit right by the entrance in front of the counter, even though we had booked a table for two on the first floor. We ended up sitting by the stairs next to the restroom. The steak, ordered medium, arrived raw! The side salad we ordered wasn't served before the main course, but alongside it. Luckily, they finished grilling my steak, so I was able to eat the salad beforehand. PS: I received my food when my wife was almost finished.
31/03/2026: I was walking by when I saw how pretty the terrace seating was, so I was drawn into the shop as if I were under a spell. I didn't expect much from the food, but it was so incredibly delicious that I ate every last bit of the sauce. Not only did I get the photos of a lifetime in Venice, but the atmosphere on the terrace by the canal was also the best. The staff were very friendly, and the coffee tasted great. I was also grateful for the complimentary limoncello they gave me at the end.

04/03/2026: The atmosphere is reminiscent of an old inn, in the best sense of the word, where you feel at home and immersed in the charm of days gone by. The food is very good. It's close enough to the Rialto Bridge but quiet enough to catch your breath while being pampered by the staff.
28/02/2026: The quality was commensurate with the price. The fish was cooked perfectly.
The staff was always attentive.

27/10/2025: In the somewhat secluded Rialto area, this small osteria is a pleasant surprise, serving traditional and non-traditional dishes, from appetizers to dessert. The atmosphere is intimate, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are moderate, with generous portions and excellent ingredients. Reservations are recommended. We'll be back.
27/10/2025: I've known this place for years, and every time I'm in Venice, I always try to return. I had the pleasure of bringing my colleagues last Friday, and we were all very satisfied. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was casual yet elegant. Roberto served us with reverence, entertaining us and making us have a great time. Thank you, and see you next time.

08/04/2026: I visited a total of four cities in Italy, and during my four days in Venice, I had the most delicious meals of all time.
The owner and all the staff were so kind.
After paying, they gave me a drink that tasted like alcohol, which I really enjoyed.
Thank you for leaving me with such wonderful memories.
22/03/2026: We dined at the Osteria two nights in a row, trying first courses, second courses, and desserts. I must say, everything was truly impeccable. The dishes were excellent and—the icing on the cake—the portions were quite generous. The service was also truly top-notch, with thoughtful recommendations and explanations about dishes and pairings.
I can't give it 6 stars because the maximum is 5.
We'll definitely be back next weekend in Venice!

04/04/2026: For us, Osteria alla Staffa was the best restaurant in Venice. A small, traditional, and very authentic place, with fresh ingredients and a cuisine that truly stands out.
We ordered the ravioloni neri artigianali and the linguine con orata nostrana, and both were spectacular. Without a doubt, some of the best pasta we've ever had.
If we were to return, we would order it again without hesitation. Just be sure to go early because the place is very small and fills up quickly.

Great location and atmosphere. The Margherita pizza was extremely delicious.
Unfortunately, the service was slow and they didn't come even when they saw you calling for them. The food was very tasty!!
19/04/2026: Lovely terrace, impeccable service, but we were a little disappointed by the lasagna and the pasta carbonara. The tiramisu wasn't anything special. A bit pricey for basic dishes.

We weren't entirely satisfied with the restaurant's offerings. Typical Venetian dishes have probably given way to more sophisticated options over time. It's a shame. However, these were well presented and well cooked. Overall, the prices are a bit high.
04/04/2026: I met Giacomo two years ago in Mentawai and he told me about his restaurant. So some weeks ago I finally made it to venice and to Osteria da Carla. What to say.. All in all it was delicious from the starter to the end. Thanks to Giacomo, Michela and the whole team! Your restaurant is unique and always worth to come! 🫶🥰
