06/07/2025: Our hosts at our airbnb booked us a table at there fav restaurant in the area. And it didn’t disappoint. From the very start they knew we had a camper-van they got us to park in a spot that would make it easy to get out. They had a valet /parker to move cars when we left made getting out super easy as the car park was full due to it being very popular with locals. Service was amazing staff where helpful and super friendly. food was next level wine was great. It was my birthday and they brought us out a cake at the end that we had to take home to our airbnb because we had eaten so much. Price was great I was expecting it to be a bit more for the level of food and the quality of the restaurant but this was our first time eating out in Sicily. So I think it was great value for money. And if your staying in the area definitely book a table as it fills up.

25/07/2025: Discovered by chance, this trattoria is simply exceptional! The lunch menu changes regularly. We received a warm welcome and were given excellent advice on the menu. We shared a tomato and mozzarella salad (the tomatoes are grown by the chef ;) and almond couscous. A true delight! Full of flavors and 100% local cuisine with fresh produce. The wine is also worth a visit!

26/07/2025: Excellent diner. The rest is fine: the products are decent; the staff is knowledgeable. On a negative note: they don't intervene to enforce shifts when there's a line at the cash register. This is a fairly serious problem because the place, which isn't to blame, is frequented by an exorbitant number of rude and indecent people, who often (if they realize you're not in their category...) brazenly skip past you in the checkout line during busy times. This is something I've never experienced anywhere else... so I took note, because it's happened here several times. I recommend the cassatas; they make them particularly well in winter, and the cake is better than the "slices of cake."

02/08/2025: We had mixed feelings about our visit to Sireno Mozia. The food was undeniably very good—our pizza was excellent, the caponata outstanding, and even the tuna, while slightly overpriced, was well prepared. This is clearly a kitchen that knows what it’s doing. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t quite match the quality of the food. Our table was placed directly in front of the kitchen entrance, right next to the service station and along the main corridor leading to the restrooms. Staff carrying plates, clearing tables, or grabbing cutlery constantly passed in front of us, creating a distracting, noisy atmosphere that significantly took away from our enjoyment. To make matters worse, it was a windy day, and although the terrace had plastic windshields, they offered little protection where we were seated. My daughter’s hair was flying around throughout the meal. In contrast, the interior tables seemed completely protected and calm, making the contrast even more frustrating. The staff spoke enough English and made an effort to follow our Italian, but they appeared overwhelmed—often rushing back and forth, which added to the general sense of chaos in that part of the restaurant. What also stood out: the manager was noticeably warmer and more engaging with Italian-speaking guests, while maintaining a cooler, more distant attitude toward foreign visitors. It left the impression that tourists are not particularly welcome, which detracted from the overall hospitality. Interestingly, I returned on another day to pick up a takeout pizza—and it was a completely different experience. The weather was calm, the terrace was fully open, and there were more tables available. The atmosphere was far more relaxed, and I could imagine actually enjoying a proper sit-down meal there. In short: the food at Sireno Mozia is worth trying. Just make sure to go on a windless day—and ask for a table away from the kitchen and service areas. Also, manage your expectations on service, especially if you’re not a local. It could make the difference between a great meal and a frustrating one.

01/08/2025: A very good restaurant; the fish, meat, pizza, and Sicilian dishes are highly recommended. The staff is quick and attentive, but not annoying. It was a delightful evening; I would definitely go back.

30/06/2025: Completely renovated place, welcoming and with attention to detail! The ice cream is really excellent, creamy and full of flavor. But the real surprise is the arancini... one better than the other, with a special mention for the one with sausage and onion... a real explosion of flavors and goodness..! Very kind and always available owners and staff. Congratulations for the quality and attention to customer service. We will definitely be back! 👏🍦🍽️

28/07/2025: We had our breakfast at Claffs for 3 days. This is most likely the most friendly and kind place we as family (5) had our start into a day! The staff is really an asset and the coffee is great and all the different food is freshly made and gorgeous tasty! If you stay in Catania don’t miss Claff!

22/07/2025: What Catania was missing. I visited Claff three times during my vacation in Catania. It's the perfect place for brunch, with friendly, cheerful service and excellent English. Excellent value for money. I'll definitely be back.

02/08/2025: If you're passing through Messina, you absolutely must stop at this historic café, where you can enjoy a classic Sicilian breakfast with granita and brioche, or a classic croissant. Everything is delicious, fresh, and high-quality. And surprisingly, the prices are incredibly fair.

27/06/2025: A small Osteria, in the center of Leonforte, a clean and adequate place to serve typical Sicilian dishes and not, with beautiful and large platters of local appetizers obviously with quality local products, excellent first courses of the day, fast service! Prices really in line with the norm and with good quality of the dishes, a real gem in the center of Sicily .... try it and you will be satisfied. Thank you so much for making me savor Sunday food 😜

24/06/2025: A shameful place, if it's 1:38 pm (like now in my case), don't call because they don't answer, in fact, they hang up on you because they close even though on the website they say they are open until 3:00 pm. And then they complain if leonforte is depopulated and shameful... here's one of the reasons... shame on you staff and owner included
