Second time in Modica, second time at Radici, even if it is not starred the quality is the same, in fact, here there is no pomp but there is the substance which I personally prefer

We went to this restaurant for Saturday lunch at the recommended of ChatGpt (and checking reviews :-) and were very pleased. We did reserve a table an hour or so ahead of time (via Google) and were glad we did. We got there around 1, it was quiet with only a couple of tables. However over the next 30 mins the place filled up. So make a reservation! Restaurant had a modern vibe and decor, we were sat at a table by the window overlooking the Main Street which was nice. Staff speak great English and were helpful with understanding the menu. Menu has some interesting items, twists on Sicilian specialties. We had an octopus appetizer (in Brudo) that was delicious. Husband had the veal rolls that were really tasty and I had the fettuccine with wild fennel and anchovies. The fettuccine was unique and delicious if you like anchovies (which I do). Price was reasonable for the quality of the food, the setting and service. Highly recommend!

Amazing 1st night dinner in MODICA ! On recommendations of our airBnB host. You can tell a lot of care has gone into a menu when our sever described the dishes! We had the fried anchovies with special fish pasta with bortaga and roe with fried bread crumbs … wow wow ! Pls mains of veal rolls with pickled onions a winner and roast lamb. service was also very efficient and knowledgeable ！ thank you for finding me a replacement for Negroni 🤓 we enjoyed the food, drinks, service and decor 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Top dining experience! The spatola fish was so delicious! The chef also has a Michelin-starred restaurant, and I feel this place definitely deserves one. The squid and beef neck were amazing; I was so full I could barely walk! ❤️

20/04/2026: Excellent cake, I bought a millefeuille for my nephew's confirmation. ONLY FLAWS: Being very scrupulous people, we wanted to check that the number of leaves was actually 1,000. Unfortunately, there were only 993 leaves. My nephew was very disappointed.
16/04/2026: The almond cakes are spectacular and the prices are reasonable (especially compared to those in the Algarve). It's just a shame they don't have coffee. You buy the cakes there and enjoy them at home or in a café.

05/04/2026: The staff were extremely friendly and professional, very knowledgeable about dietary requirements, including gluten-free options in my case. As a celiac, I felt very safe and had no problems whatsoever during or after the meal. All the dishes were traditional; the appetizers were fantastic, and the first courses were excellent. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
27/03/2026: An iconic location in the center of Comiso, a very beautiful and well-kept venue. Delicious food, and friendly, helpful staff. Special mention to the owner, who knows how to pamper his customers. Highly recommended.
