04/05/2026: The best Arancini Ragu I've ever had! Generously filled with sauce and oozing with cheese... a real treat! Truly!
The others were a little less impressive but still very good (caccio e pepe and prosciutto). Counter service was fine, and there are a few tables outside for dining in.
21/04/2026: Midollo, in the heart of Corso Umberto I, as a Sicilian, I've never had such good arancini; for me, they're the best. The rest of the deli and pastry shop is also excellent. Breakfast is also excellent, with a variety of croissants filled with chocolate, pistachio, jam, and more. There's a wide selection of cakes and pastries. In addition to offering stools at the counter, the Midolo bar also offers the option of dining or having breakfast outside on the sidewalk. The tables are covered with umbrellas that provide plenty of shade from the hot sun. Besides the classic arancini with ragù (I want to emphasize once again that it's DELICIOUS), there are also butter, ham, spinach, and cacio e pepe. The bar is well stocked, and the coffee is truly excellent. Last but not least, the staff is very friendly, courteous, and professional. Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend the Midolo bar and restaurant.
