Il Corallo In Lipari

An unforgettable experience in the heart of Lipari We stumbled upon Ristorante Il Corallo almost by chance, drawn by the intimate atmosphere of the internal garden, and we left wanting to return the next evening—which we certainly did. The cuisine is true Aeolian tradition: ultra-fresh fish, distinct flavors, and quality ingredients. We ordered the chef's seafood appetizer, pistachio-crusted tuna (simply extraordinary), swordfish rolls, and a side dish of caponata and prawn pasta. Each dish was carefully presented and generously portioned. The cannoli to finish: perfect. The service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. The passion with which the restaurant is run is clearly evident. The price-quality ratio is more than fair for the quality offered. Among the best seafood restaurants in Lipari, without a doubt. Best restaurant on the island from Catania, no one else offers such good and generous dishes. Restaurant run by a family that seems to put heart and love into what they offer. Best restaurant tested since we have been in Sicily. Fresh, generous and delicious/full of taste dishes. It wasn't in our backpacker guide. For me, traditional Italian, spaghetti alle sarde, excellent, my wife had a grilled beef bistecca and despite wanting it well cooked the meat was tender and juicy. They offered us a shot of malvasia wine and local artisan cookies. Excellent!

Best food on our trip — and we’re not Americans who hype up everything better than McDonald’s. This place was genuinely outstanding. Incredible flavors, super fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked. The kind of meal you remember long after the trip.

Excellent restaurant. We dined there two evenings. The pasta with prawns and pistachios was a real treat, and the grilled fish was very good. Friendly service. I highly recommend it.

Simple restaurant Decent food Good service

A tuna tataki with pistachios—very tender and generous. The Sardinian spaghetti was good, nothing special. The caponata was excellent, but served in a very small portion; for the high price, we expected more. A small complimentary digestif was appreciated. The service was polite, if not particularly friendly. The garden setting was very pleasant, with background music.
