23/10/2025: I was there on July 14, 2024, after a cycling competition I participated in. I went with my family to enjoy the sea a bit, but after a few hours there, the owner, very rude and impolite, told me that I couldn't leave my bicycle under the umbrella because it's not allowed. I said yes, but I won't leave it in the sun and far from where I can see it because it costs a lot of money to be stolen. Either you give me a place or somewhere I can put it. Then he told me to put it on the… . By the pool area, the owner is much nicer and solves the problem. But yes, I wouldn't go back!

30/08/2025: Excellent food, perfect breakfast, amazing croissants, and definitely the pastry chef's touch, though I highly doubt he's local. Truly huge and delicious, with a wide selection and reasonable prices. For aperitivo, La Vaga Matta is now a historic spot. It's fair to say that between Pontedera and Fornacette, it's set the standard and led the way, even if it's recently raised its prices. In any case, a must-see for the Valdera area. Well done!

14/08/2025: Nice place, welcoming staff, attentive to the needs of a family. Good food quality. They also offer side dishes and meat in addition to carbohydrates. The price is more than reasonable. The coffee is also good. The pastry shop is worth trying.

04/11/2025: I went there last night with my girlfriend. I found the atmosphere truly welcoming, with extremely friendly staff. I was also pleased to meet the owner, who is down-to-earth and very friendly. The menu offers a wide selection of appetizers, first courses (both seafood and meat), second courses, desserts, wines, and soft drinks on tap. One thing that particularly struck me, as a lover of fried food, was the small plates on the menu, including French fries, stuffed olives, mozzarella sticks, potato croquettes, and chicken nuggets. In short, the menu certainly doesn't disappoint! Another plus: despite the place being quite busy, the preparation time was perfect. Regarding the dishes, we had a pizza bianca with roast potatoes and a calzone. Both were delicious, perfectly cooked, with neither soft nor crunchy dough, and both light. I'll give a thumbs up to the calzone; it wasn't too full, with 7 kg of filling, but it was delicate, and when you get to the last few pieces, you don't feel too full. Last but not least, the profiteroles and berry cheesecake—nothing to say, simply wonderful! Finally, the prices are more than reasonable; for the quality/quantity ratio, it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend it, if you're not local and happen to be there, to try it at least once. Congratulations! ❤️

02/11/2025: Dated place, ok in summer, last night (not a cold evening) I could feel some drafts coming through the awnings they are "covered" with... I had dinner with a duvet on,... Average food, prices in my opinion high for the place and the quality of the food... Friendly staff... Much worse than a few years ago

04/11/2025: The service was absolutely terrible! They wouldn't serve group customers who came in, making them all stand at the door as punishment. The food was unpalatable, had a strange taste, and wasn't fresh. It was like leftovers being repeatedly served to customers, making it hard to eat!

17/10/2025: As for the Chinese food, I ate quite well, with interesting flavors. But the sushi was truly inedible. At a table of six, all six of us spat out our food after trying it. The raw fish tasted very strange, and the rice seemed stale and tasted like vinegar.

The beautiful location and the well-arranged outdoor tables attracted us, but this initial tranquility vanished once we waited over an hour for a first course that was VERY NORMAL—in fact, NOT AT ALL—worthy of its price, which averages around €17 (with truffles costing €26). MADNESS. Once we ordered a Sardinian Fermentino, the waiter arrived with the wine already in the glass, not poured from a bottle at the table—UNUSUAL! In conclusion, I can say that it's preferable to eat a panino à la volè in the streets of Volterra rather than sit down and be ripped off by tourist restaurants masquerading as farms.

20/11/2025: A surprise within a surprise: you enter a village club and behind a door opens a well-furnished, comfortable, and welcoming room with the table settings of an intimate restaurant. A limited but high-quality menu. Cheeses from Busti, fillet steak in wine, specialty, homemade desserts. Congratulations indeed!

29/11/2025: Right next to the water. Beautiful views and comes a with pretty useful gym and an amazing daily free and quite large breakfast. Dated TV in the room but besides that great hotel with great staff at a great price.

12/11/2025: Despite some stressful situations, the staff at reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and accommodating. The food was varied and delicious; they were very attentive to my allergies and intolerances and offered excellent alternative suggestions. The dining room could be made a bit more inviting; it felt a little too bright and bare and had unpleasant acoustics. We were satisfied with the breakfast and its selection: very good coffee, juices, several types of bread and rolls, muesli, various cold cuts, ham and cheeses, egg dishes and sausages, fruit, and sweet treats – everything you could want. Two minor issues in the room were promptly resolved. The rooms are adequately sized; we just wish there had been more storage space and clothes hangers. All in all, a good option for staying close to Pisa, Livorno, and Lucca.

13/09/2025: The best french fries, and the best fried chicken that I have ever had. Not to mention the risotto with mushrooms and the tagliatelle with cinghiale were delicious!!
