The girl comes over and hands me the drinks just like in the photo, and then I ask for the bag. She replies, "Didn't I ask the girl?" And she closes my window and drives off.

25/02/2026: The food was excellent. My husband and I both had pizza and it was SO good. Drink are good as well. We were able to sit outside under the canopy and watch the sunset and it was beautiful. The staff here were some of the nicest and most helpful for a couple of Americans who only know a few words of Italian. We very much appreciated the kindness.

05/10/2025: 3 very successful experiences in this bistro (at different times). Beyond the superb view outside (panoramic terrace), the atmosphere is very pleasant. The service is fast (even in the middle of August) and the staff friendly. We ate very well each time and the prices are reasonable for this very touristy village. We will return with great pleasure the next time we are in Volterra.

22/12/2025: McDonald's is known worldwide for serving food in record time. At this location, however, it's the opposite: even off-peak hours, the wait times are consistently the same. The food, however, is good.
20/12/2025: I ordered a sandwich, a dessert, and a coffee. They brought it all together without even a napkin. I ordered a strong coffee without asking for it, and half a cup in the glass. Terrible.

18/03/2026: We used to go there for the delicious focaccia! But lately the service hasn't satisfied us. The waiter isn't very attentive to our needs, he's distracted, and, not exactly pleasant, he always makes sure to ask for a tip. It's a shame.
21/02/2026: I went for lunch this time and the quality is always high. The traditional Tuscan cuisine is also worth trying, as are the fantastic pizzas.

19/12/2025: Dinner with a work group, we ate a €30 menu consisting of an appetizer, a first course of tortelli with ragù, which was good, and pork loin with potatoes, which was good but a meager portion for the number of people we were. Dessert was extra, with little or nothing left, so some people had to skip it.
The only flaw that ruined our evening, and that of the other guests, was that the restaurant owner couldn't handle the evening for a table of about 50 people, where they blared at such a high volume that we couldn't even talk to each other. It's a shame because then WE were treated like rude people and a party ruiner!

03/08/2025: Attentive and fast service. Very good pizzas. The dough is excellent, the ingredients are good quality. We tried two white pizzas and two classic red pizzas. I loved the white pizzas: the unusual and perfectly executed flavor combinations. I will definitely be back.

15/03/2026: A very charming place in the historic center of San Miniato. Francesco, the waiter who served us, despite being the only one in charge of the interior and exterior, was very attentive and efficient. The truffle crostini and artichoke tagliatelle were my favorite dishes.

17/03/2026: Ospedaletto area, perfect for a lunch break. The food and cuisine are very good, the prices competitive, and after
nine lunches, the tenth is free (this also applies to breakfasts). They send the menu via WhatsApp, which is the daily menu (so the offer changes daily).
Friendly staff, friendly and clean atmosphere, ample free parking, and accessible to disabled guests.
Highly recommended!
20/01/2026: It gets worse...
Starting with the incorrect time listed, which is closed at 7. Then there's the staff, who despite constantly changing, never find a way to work together, and even with two tables, they're struggling. And then there are the takeout orders, which, after being confirmed by phone, arrive at the restaurant and haven't been passed to the kitchen (and therefore prepared).
The food is average and served at a reasonable price, but the management makes it a place to avoid as much as possible.
