22/04/2026: Our first stop in Italy on our motorhome trip was a complete success! The hosts were very friendly. The pitches were great, with a small "terrace" yet still offering plenty of space and privacy. Even though we hadn't reserved, they treated us to breakfast – everything was delicious. The sanitary facilities were excellent; the door didn't lock properly, but that wasn't a problem. The washing machine was also available for a small fee. Before leaving, we naturally picked up a few of their homemade products. We would definitely come back again. Note: The approach isn't for the faint of heart, but it's manageable with a 7-meter vehicle.

17/05/2026: A gem nestled in the Candia hills. The atmosphere is welcoming and the ingredients are top-quality. I can't wait to return to try other dishes and eat outside to enjoy the breathtaking view.

03/05/2026: The climb is breathtaking, and the view even more so. The place lends itself to banquets, even outside, weather permitting. Let's start with the wines: don't look on the menu, try theirs. The red is good, the white excellent. My advice is to start with appetizers—the typical crostini, for example—and their Vermentino, more savory than the others, but very pleasant on the palate. And then move on to the red. Moving on to the tordelli, the stuffed pasta typical of the entire area, which in the Massa area are enriched with pepolino, wild thyme. At Cima, they lose their crescent shape and become square. And they are worth trying, even just two as an appetizer. The meats are top-notch. I recommend one or two nice rib-eye steaks: they are served on hot plates, continue cooking, and make the dinner perfect. I have something to say about the rice cake, a typical Massa dessert. And also about the mango dessert. The cantucci are excellent.

Exceptional warm focaccia paired with excellent cured meats, excellent pizza, and superb sliced ​​steak cooked in a wood-fired oven. The rustic and welcoming atmosphere is ideal for unwinding and enjoying a delicious meal at a reasonable price. A well-deserved five-star rating! 🍕🥩🔥

06/07/2026: The location is certainly well-suited to the site, right at the gates of the castle. Unfortunately, the service wasn't the fastest, with a wait for the first course lasting about an hour. They were probably too busy due to the coincidence with the historical reenactment of the Battle of Sarzana. The highlight, in my humble opinion, is definitely the cuisine. The dishes are beautifully presented and expertly cooked. The price is certainly reasonable for the dishes ordered. I recommend lunch or dinner on a less hectic day. So, 10 for the cuisine, 6 for the service.

20/12/2025: The best lard shop in Colonnata. Mario (the owner) and his wife are very friendly and welcoming. When I go to stock up on lard to take back to Rome, I always stop by for lunch with their wonderful mixed platters and hot sgabei (delicious). I recommend it 100%.

Excellent food; we ordered the vegetarian platter (perfect for vegans too) and we really enjoyed everything. Perfect focaccia, lovely, crispy, and light. Excellent desserts.
