17/10/2025: We stopped for lunch on a Sunday.
The staff were friendly and helpful, welcoming us even though we hadn't booked.
We had a very good appetizer and a truly excellent main course.
The price was adequate for the quality offered and still reasonable in absolute terms.
The restaurant is located in the narrow streets of a small medieval village, but it still has ample and convenient parking. The premises are spacious and well-maintained.
11/10/2025: Locanda Gavarini is a trusted source of quality and exquisite cuisine, from traditional appetizers to a selection of cured meats, from Chicchere della Nonna (Grandma's Chicchere) to the unsurpassed Parma Black Pork with potatoes and chestnuts, and from the ever-changing and spectacular desserts. The carefully restored and carefully maintained ambience complements the experience, along with the impeccable and courteous service. Prices are more than reasonable.

27/09/2025: A cute little hotel in a restaurant. The stairwell smells of delicious food. The food was also great. Located close to the tracks, but the trains run at long intervals, giving you plenty of time to fall asleep.
25/08/2025: A wonderful place that seems to have stood still in time! Super friendly and with a truly Italian atmosphere, as if we were part of the family! The elderly owner is very kind, and the staff are attentive and caring! The service was really good and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced! We'll be happy to come back again and again and hope this place stays around for a long time!

La Torre di Malgrate

29/10/2024: Girando l'Italia, essendo il mio lavoro la scoperta di nuove acque termali, mangio molto spesso nei ristoranti che offrono pranzi di lavoro. La Torre di Malgrate nei miei 39 anni di giri per l'Italia ha superato tutti gli altri ristoranti in prezzo-qualità e abbondanza. Al prezzo di 15 euro un pranzo di grande qualità. Servizio affabile, grande professionalità e una dimensione umana di essere come in Famiglia...Super consigliato.
