02/06/2026: Claudio is fantastic! Kind, helpful, and an excellent cook. Good food, stunning views of the Lunigiana mountains, and a welcoming atmosphere. In the evening, we dined surrounded by fireflies, and during the day, we relaxed by the pool. TOP!
05/05/2026: The place is enchanting: the garden is well-maintained, and there are tables and loungers available for relaxing, immersing yourself in nature, and admiring the landscape.
The rooms are welcoming and spacious, and are equipped with a variety of amenities, such as a minibar, complimentary toiletries, and a hairdryer.
The food was excellent, both for the raw ingredients used and for the chef's cooking, which allowed us to enjoy traditional dishes, always carefully crafted and paired with flavors that truly brought out the best in them.
The welcome we received made us feel at home.
We will definitely be back!

09/05/2026: The hotel is quiet despite being on the road. It's surrounded by greenery and well located. The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast, however, is poor.
04/05/2026: We spent three nights at this hotel, which we found to be very clean and functional. The room had a balcony for sunbathing, a very comfortable bed, and excellent linens. We dined in their restaurant, enjoying good home-cooked food. The rabbit and testaroli pasta with pesto were excellent. The staff and owners were very friendly. The location is quiet on the road leading to Fivizzano.

16/06/2026: A corner of paradise away from the hustle and bustle.
My favorite place, where I went as a child and still go today.
When I need a break, I want to recharge and escape the stifling heat and routine.
A sandwich, an ice cream, and a deck of cards to play Scala 40.
That's my idea of relaxation and happiness.
The well-stocked bar.
You can eat and refresh yourself with a drink.
Excellent quality.
The staff is incredibly kind and friendly.
I highly recommend you go at least once.
You'll definitely be back.

15/07/2026: Excellent lunch, great quality, and old-fashioned courtesy.
A special mention also goes to the Lambrusco they served with the grilled meat, an appetizer of house-made vegetables, fried gnocco, and cured meats. A fantastic finish was served with gelato accompanied by blueberries that were never so delicious.
The locally produced amaro was also noteworthy.
Easy to digest.

24/09/2025: A week in the medieval town of Fivizzano with Giuseppe's family was wonderful. The town is located 45 minutes into the valley from La Spezia with no visible traces of tourism.

11/07/2026: The atmosphere was fairly clean, except for the curtains, cobwebs, and flies. We ordered a simple pasta with meat sauce, which arrived cold and watery, a plate of bresaola (4 slices) with a green salad, 2 slices of roast beef with boiled potatoes, 2 desserts (which arrived still frozen), and 2 coffees, 1 of which was a full-bodied one for 53 euros.
However, I must say that the staff is
very friendly.
I don't think I'll be back.

What a discovery! Il Mulin da Mattia is an authentic, cozy family restaurant where you feel right at home. The real Italian pizzas are a real treat – and the first pizza of the year in Italy here was perfetto! The atmosphere is warm, the people are super friendly, and the house wine is so good that you wonder why you would ever order anything else.
And the best part? Our four-legged friend was allowed to join us at the table! A true dolce vita experience, where even the dogs feel like real Italians.

24/02/2026: A nice little pizzeria with good opening hours, which isn't always the case in this region. The pizzas have a rustic flavor and the restaurant offers good value for money.

09/12/2025: We visited this very welcoming osteria yesterday, a holiday. I was fooled by the quick menu sign, forgetting it was a holiday. When I asked for the set menu, even though it wasn't available, and apologized to the owner and especially to her daughter, they exceptionally served us three menus: two for €12 and one for €10, with my son's first course not included in the set menu. At the end of the very tasty and plentiful lunch, they also offered me a China and coffee. We had a wonderful time, and the dishes, I repeat, were excellent. Thank you, and sorry again for the misunderstanding.
08/09/2025: They make spectacular second courses but it's a shame about the pasta as it was overcooked.

20/07/2026: My experience at Locanda Elena was amazing. Starting with the room where I stayed for a few days: clean, fragrant, and comfortable. We also had the pleasure of sampling the excellent cuisine: I love seafood and wasn't expecting to eat the delicacies prepared by the chef in a small inland village. It's an experience I recommend to everyone and will definitely repeat.

23/07/2026: The food is actually good. We had booked a table because we had gone in vain once; we understand that now. The service is blatantly slow. We arrived at 8pm, got the menu at 8.30pm and got our pizzas at 9.20pm. There was a large party of 12 guests, and two or three other tables with 2-4 guests. It simply shouldn't take that long to get served in a half-empty restaurant.
It's a shame because the food is really, really good.
27/04/2026: Patricia is an excellent host. When we visited, the pizzeria was busy and full. We placed a large order, so it took a while to receive the pizzas. However, Patricia's attentiveness and patience are exceptional.
The pizzas were delicious, and the menu offers a variety of flavors. For families traveling for leisure, it's worth ordering and picking up the food at your accommodation.
I recommend the pizzeria and thank Patricia for her patience and attentiveness. Muito obrigada ☺️
