Gentilissima la signora che prende prenotazioni nello spiegare il loro menù, com'è strutturata la loro location e nel dare indicazioni su come raggiungerli. Il menù è fisso (20€) ed include un bel tagliere di affettati e formaggio + l'immancabile e buonissimo lardo di Colonnata, la giardiniera e tortini di verdure, del gnocco, acqua e/o vino, dolci, caffè e ammazzacaffe. In poche parole un affare. Il servizio è molto alla mano con una particolare menzione al signore, davvero simpatico (e gentile). Fortemente consigliata la prenotazione. Ci tornerei senza dubbi.

06/05/2024: El Caracol is both a restaurant and a hotel. Let's start by me saying: the location is unbelievable. The views are breathtaking. More so, the hosts, a family owned place are kind, hospitable and lovely to be around. The rooms are basic but exactly as should be. The bed is comfortable and the shower is good with hot water and good water pressure. The room is very clean. So, if you are in the area - you won't regret it. As for the restaurant. Boy oh boy did we eat a lot! We started with two pasta dishes, local pasta pesto and ravioli in butter and sage. Both were SO good! Then we shared some lamb chops. There was no need to add salt. It was so tastefully seasoned. On the side we had mixed salad. Yeah, I know, it is a simple salad that everyone can make. Yet, the ingredients were super fresh! We accompanied it with roasted potatoes. They were also great. For desert we had a panacota and chocolate profiteroles. Both were really good. We accompanied the meal with a sangria. It was also really good. The location is great. The service is great and the food is great. The price: very reasonable!

03/06/2024: Wait, I've been using Gavarina for a couple of years for one reason or another. The place is welcoming, everyone is very kind. The cooking space for the panigacci is visible. I was with a friend and we ate very well. The cold cuts platter was plentiful and good, the panigacci are replaced by new hot ones. It's time to return. Well done

04/06/2024: Very good food, highly recommended by local residents, known for its excellent meat, open grill in the dining room. Nice and courteous service, the boss goes around personally and takes care of the guests. If you want to eat very good meat that is superbly prepared, you have to come here.

24/03/2024: The place is small but welcoming and upon entering you feel the "genius loci" of the Carrarina trattoria... it comes naturally to think of how many stories of real life and interesting tales have been heard within these walls. The staff was very welcoming and kind and the service was quick. The menu contains many strong/valid pieces of the traditional local cuisine, with some creative and original additions. We tried several dishes but unfortunately, apart from the appreciable marinated cod, I was not favorably impressed by their taste. I don't know if it depends on the quality of the raw materials or how they were cooked, but it's as if the ingredients don't display a clear and recognizable flavour, despite the care with which the dishes are presented. The experience was that of tasting a series of anonymous/indistinct dishes. The white bread was negative, completely devoid of taste and completely unsuitable as a support for crostini or combined with the sauce of fish dishes as it immediately goes limp, while the house wine appeared honest. I'm sorry I couldn't give a better rating. I hope to change my mind next time. But absolutely NO bread, it's unforgivable
