03/11/2025: We stopped by for a quick dinner and tried their burger. Overall, it was good—the meat was cooked properly, and the bun was soft. Nothing exceptional, but enjoyable nonetheless. The service was quick and the atmosphere simple but elegant. A decent place if you're looking for an unpretentious meal.

29/10/2025: Highly recommended place I stumbled upon it by chance, having booked accommodation nearby. Authentic cuisine and generous portions are the two hallmarks of this restaurant.

25/12/2025: A very welcoming, family-run restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff, and catering to those with food intolerances or vegetarian diets. Definitely worth a visit and a stop!

12/11/2025: The most beautiful place I've ever eaten. We and the children were wonderfully looked after with typical, warm Italian hospitality. The food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the portions were generous enough for everyone. For three courses, wine, and soft drinks, the value for money was perfect. And then there was the breathtaking sunset over the sea—it couldn't have been better.

24/02/2026: Excellent chicken biryani! The rice-to-chicken ratio is perfect. I really like that they offer free sauces with varying levels of spiciness, from mild to very spicy. Recommended!

26/12/2025: The service was fast. We had naan sandwiches with chicken, one tikka, and the other fried. Everything was good.

08/03/2026: We dined here on a Tuesday evening, choosing the à la carte menu rather than the all-you-can-eat option. The portions were quite small; unfortunately, the salmon was undercooked. Some of the rolls were good, but overall, we weren't satisfied with the experience: the overall quality didn't seem up to par. We were the only guests.

04/03/2026: A review that takes into account the type of environment and its competitors. Definitely above average, across the board. Recommended for a quiet evening with your partner or with friends... we've been several times and I definitely think we'll be back. Coati is slightly above average, but it's worth it.

04/01/2026: Fantastic desserts, and the arancini for lunch were also top-notch. Plus, they were really friendly and helpful. A must-visit on our Viareggio vacation.

20/10/2025: We stopped, drawn by the colorful tables and chairs. Then we entered the pastry shop and were greeted with that typical Sicilian welcome. The ricotta reminded us of the one from Palazzolo, but less sweet, just the way we like it. When we return, it'll be a regular stop! Thanks from the Romans!

08/03/2026: A welcoming place, Paolo and Luciana are two wonderful people, both friendly and kind. The food is excellent, both the bar and the main courses. The aperitifs are accompanied by fantastic appetizers. What more can I say? Try it for yourself! 🥂

01/12/2025: We had dinner here on 1 DEC 2025. The food was atrocious, it had ZERO FLAVOR! The spaghetti tasted like lukewarm wet flour with cold crushed tomatoes. The gnocchi wasn’t any better. The food was so bad (how bad was it!) I could take a food tasting tour of every hospital throughout the Scandinavian countries and find more flavorful meals than La Cicciascheria. Usually, you can’t go wrong in Italy (except Rome or Naples on occasion); however, this place fleeced me outta 67 Euros, because I could only take two bites outta of every dish. The first to taste and the second to make sure the first was that bad! Honestly, I should’ve had a Kebab or McDonald’s. I really don’t like to throw a restaurant under the bus; but this place deserves the 1 Star across the board review (which is still generous). To make matters worse, I told the waiter 4 times “I don’t eat pork!” so what does he do…..he served me a pork dish. It didn’t help there were flies inside the restaurant (in December no less) at night! While the staff seemed nice, it is better to stay away. There are plenty of other decent options in Lucca.

22/11/2025: We had the set menu. Very reasonably priced. For starters, a hearty soup that was quite good. The mushroom lasagna was decent. A glass of wine and coffee came to €15. You can't ask for more. They also have a wide variety of cakes, and you can enjoy a hot chocolate with a view of Lucca's beautiful piazza.

10/11/2025: A fun experience in a little place I found by chance. Reasonable prices and friendly staff included!!! I recommend you try it!

24/10/2025: Excellent food. Very clean and efficient. Four meals all very fresh and reasonably priced. Nice staff would recommend if visiting Lucca

15/08/2025: You can also find special rye bread with cereals, it arrives fresh on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and it lasts up to a week, what can I say about the round pizza with drowned cherry tomatoes, good oven.

01/11/2025: We went here for seafood. Once we arrived, the lady listed the various options without giving us a paper menu, so the price was completely surprising... The three of us spent €130 for three seafood appetizers and three seafood pasta dishes. The seafood was good, but the fried cod in the appetizer was still frozen.

07/09/2025: We were at Chiatona in the open air, the service was impeccable, with a simple trailer transformed into a mini pizzeria, fantastic, with the lady, the wife of Mr. Tagariello, really good, very friendly, and we will return, to Massafra

15/10/2025: We were there last weekend. The place was beautiful, the products were excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing was that the staff was too few for the size and type of place!

15/02/2026: I'm sorry to have to give this rating, but I would encourage the owners to update their opening and closing hours on Google Maps. For me, as an out-of-towner, opening Google Maps to look for a brunch spot, taking a 30-minute walk to get there, and finding it closed on a Saturday lunchtime when Google listed it as open was quite unfortunate. I would encourage people to pay more attention, especially those like me who aren't local and rely on Google for their searches. I'm pretty sure we could have had a good lunch, but unfortunately, we weren't able to.

30/12/2025: I came in for a coffee. I was served a small cup with coffee just barely reaching the rim. When I protested, "But it's very long," I was told, "Yes, it is." Surprisingly, the coffee seemed to have been made in an anonymous bar in London or Paris. I paid my €1.50 in cash, but the cash register was probably broken because no receipt was issued. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys leaving bad reviews when they're well-deserved.
