08/07/2026: We went to have a coffee and sat on the terrace because of my daughter's pet while she went to the restroom, which wasn't very comfortable. When she came out, the bar girl made her get her coffee, and if I hadn't asked her to open the door, she wouldn't have. When we went to pay, she told me that sitting down would cost us an extra euro, meaning she wasn't providing service, and on top of that, she charged me an extra euro for sitting outside so as not to bother anyone with the dog.

01/06/2026: After a sunset stroll across the Ponte della Maddalena, we stopped at this pizzeria almost by chance, and it was a pleasant discovery. A perfect way to end an already beautiful day. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, accompanied by a pleasant selection of '80s rock classics in the background: the music is loud, creates a sense of atmosphere, and even brings a few nostalgic smiles, without ever being intrusive. The service was friendly and attentive. We loved the pizza and particularly appreciated the local, zero-mile wine, a choice that was a pleasant surprise and showcases the region in an authentic way. A simple and genuine place, where you feel welcomed and where quality, atmosphere, and attention to local products blend effortlessly. We'll gladly return. 🍕🍷🎸

03/06/2026: I've been frequenting Bagno Aurora for a while now, and I can only confirm its excellent ratings. The location is excellent, but for those traveling on two wheels, there's a key advantage: the numerous private motorcycle parking spaces inside. A real lifesaver, considering the city recently decided to drastically reduce public parking for bicycles, motorcycles, and scooters in the area. The real driving force behind this establishment is its staff: special mention goes to Michelangelo, the lifeguard, who is truly excellent, but in general, the entire staff stands out for being extremely kind, knowledgeable, and capable of making you feel pampered from the first to the last minute. It's clear there's a great direction behind it: kudos to the managers, who are doing an excellent job. This year, I also wanted to try the bar and restaurant service for lunch and was thrilled. I tried the gnocchi with scampi and the grilled octopus with vegetables: both delicious dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and great care. The late afternoon also deserves a mention: they also do a great job with classic aperitifs, perfect for a relaxing end to a day at the beach. A well-organized, clean, and welcoming establishment in every way. It's now a regular stop, highly recommended!

10/12/2025: I've been there a few times because it's close to the university. The food isn't bad, but the staff isn't the best. One waiter in particular is very apathetic; it seems like he's doing the customers a favor. Plus, I once found a pebble in an artichoke risotto.

30/10/2025: Truly a unique first course 🤞🏼👏🏻 I had fritto misto for dinner and it was excellent, I highly recommend you try it. The waiter, Ale, was very kind and very fast. The waiter was really kind and friendly, thank you for making the evening wonderful.

01/05/2026: The best restaurant to never go to again. The pizzas we had were really not good. The first pizza we had was somewhat okay, but it was very hard and dry and didn't have much flavor. The knife could barely cut through it. The second pizza was a kind of grilled cheese sandwich that was also very dry. With the third pizza, the ingredients were not distributed, there were pieces of luncheon meat on it, large chunks of onion, and the taste wasn't good either. We also had a calzone where 5 cm of the edge had nothing on it, just dry dough, and the rest was crammed into 10 cm in the middle. With this, I ate 80% ham and the rest a bit of dough and cheese, but that was it. The pizzas were also burnt around the edges. At the end, extra money was charged for something we don't even know what it was. A plus point is that the person who served us was nice and polite. I have never looked forward so much to the moment the food was finished and we could leave.

28/03/2026: I'm still at the table. Unfortunately, people these days take everything for granted. I ate with a colleague; we're coach drivers. The spaghetti or garlic and oil was good, the Milanese and fries were classic, but what really took me back was the lemon veal cutlet. Simply perfect, just like my grandmother and mother used to make. With a side of a masterpiece of mixed salad, a carefully balanced mix of vegetables, peppers, celery, and fennel... 23/05/2026: HISTORIC pub. If you've never had a beer at Nicola's or a cocktail, you're probably not from Lucca. Nicola exudes energy to EVERYONE. His entire staff, everyone who comes through the door. Ambience 5*, staff 5*, sandwiches 5*, and if I've forgotten anything, it's on the 5* list. For 5* beer lovers. I love the scent of mint and the 5* Mojito.

15/05/2026: A very special pub. A dive into the past. Relics of a bygone era (the 80s and 90s) that have remained in everyone's hearts. Excellent beer and super sandwiches. Fair prices.
