25/08/2025: Nothing special and high prices. I found the hazelnut a bit lumpy. The ice cream shop is a bit incomplete since they don't make milkshakes.

31/10/2025: Mamma Mia isn't just a club, it's "the club" where there's everything: music, fun, transgression, and lots and lots of people. It's quiet in the summer, but even off-season, fun is guaranteed. It's not for potheads, but for people who want to have fun without breaking the rules.

08/05/2026: Here I am, we stumbled upon this property by chance. We had booked in Lucca, but we ran away because the apartment was so filthy. Everything around us was fully booked, so I called this hotel after finding a deal on Booking. I have to say, it was a lucky find, first of all because it was the last room, and secondly because it was practically right next to the center of Altopascio. The hotel isn't newly built, and the rooms aren't the most innovative—let's say a bit dated—but the empathy, hospitality, and attention to guests are, at least for us, top notch. The owner, Aurora, and her husband, Luciano, were incredibly kind, as was Rita, our assistant, who was incredibly helpful, honestly. They gave us so much information on how to best visit the area, and made us feel like family. Speaking of breakfast, I have to say it's superb: fresh croissants of all kinds, bread, cured meats, cheese, eggs, toast, etc. The breakfast buffet is very extensive, both sweet and savory. Vending machines for coffee, barley, hot chocolate, hot water, various teas and herbal teas, juice and jam dispensers—in short, for a 3-star hotel, I think it's top notch. There's not much to say about cleanliness either; perhaps it would have been nice if the stain cover had been changed between guests, but I have to say it wasn't necessary. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos. If we were to return to the area, this would be the first hotel I'd call. Thanks again ☺️🙏🏼

06/05/2026: Absolutely avoidable, both as a hotel and as a restaurant. The 4-cheese pasta tasted like nothing, not even cheese. The chicken was stuck on a toothpick, and I ended up with a piece in my mouth. AVOID!!!

06/04/2026: The pizza is good and crispy, but the fryer is terrible and full of oil. Home delivery is to be avoided. The wait times are long; they're capable of delivering pizzas late at night, even an hour late. The products arrived hot, but 50 minutes late.

19/08/2025: After an afternoon at the beach, we stopped for dinner. It was a lovely surprise; we dined by the sea. The service was quick, the staff was friendly, and the seafood risotto was truly excellent. I'm giving it 5 stars and looking forward to another dinner to try other dishes.

15/08/2025: What a shame. The staff was kind, but the kitchen was out of order on August 15th. The menu had a choice of three appetizers, three first courses, and three second courses, and it was unbearable. Arriving at 12:30, we ate the last course at 3:00 PM. The ingredients were frozen. The staff, though very embarrassed, were kind. With those ingredients and that service (meaning the kitchen) it was expensive even at half the price. What do I know? I eat at restaurants for lunch and dinner every day and have even worked in the industry. 2 out of 3 diners reluctantly gave up their second course. I had to apologize to my guests. #SHAME

21/04/2026: Fried polenta fried long before and reheated, tasteless mushroom tagliatelle with visibly frozen mushrooms, flavourless and raw roast pork, the potatoes instead of being roasted as stated were instead previously fried and reheated

02/11/2025: The meat was very good, cooked perfectly. The only flaw was perhaps a little salty. Otherwise, it was excellent.

06/06/2026: Dinner in the courtyard, good value for money. Agriturismo with seafood dishes and aperitif. Informal service, perhaps a bit slow.

05/06/2026: We met up with friends and family for an aperitif...we had a great time...it was an aperitif dinner with many dishes, all delicious...we'll definitely be back...

11/05/2026: I've been invited to several 18th birthday parties at Il Guercio, and at each one I went through hell: "No confetti! We have to clean it up!" "Why aren't you eating?" Not to mention the DJ who insists on choosing the music even for the birthday boy or girl! You get paid even if you play Michael Jackson instead of Olly! I assure you!

04/05/2026: Very homey. Very good meals, with some dishes coming directly from the owners' garden. The service is very warm and attentive, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. Recommended.

05/06/2026: I'll start by saying that the fish was high quality and well-served. If only at least two of the six orders we'd placed had arrived... we came in for dinner at 8:30 PM and got up at 10:30 PM without having eaten practically anything. At one point, when we asked for an explanation during dinner, we were even told that the nigiri were out (I don't see how they could just finish rice and salmon). Exhausted and dissatisfied, we got up out of exhaustion and asked to be met by four other tables who had had the same problem. It took us 30 minutes of discussion to get a paltry discount, they wanted to charge us €34... It was a terrible evening to say the least. It may have been a crowded day, but if you're not capable of managing that many people at an all-you-can-eat restaurant, I recommend you reconsider your seating. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED...

28/05/2026: Change of management, and it shows. Everything is disappointing, from the food to the atmosphere to the service. I don't want to be harsh, but the change of management is clearly noticeable. Unsuitable managers.

05/05/2026: The pitches are very well designed and separated from each other by hedges and trees. It's a shame the grounds are poorly maintained: tall grass, a sense of neglect. The bathrooms are old and dilapidated, in need of renovation!

04/05/2026: We spent two days in a camper. I'd like to warn anyone who, like us, is on foot that the campsite is nowhere near the sea as stated on the website. It's 2.5 km away, and it took us 40 minutes to get there, which is unthinkable in the summer, thank goodness they provide a shuttle. The bar and restaurant are nice, and everything was good, in my opinion, including the pizza. All the campsite staff were friendly and helpful. The showers were a bit dated but functional. Unfortunately, the sinks only had cold water.

23/12/2025: About 15 days ago, I bought a Saker cake and a panettone as a gift. The cake was delicious, but the panettone was inedible, practically dry. I mentioned it to the staff, and they told me I had to return it even three days after purchasing it. I was disappointed because I'd been a regular customer of the bakery in the past, and at least offering me a pastry would have been enough to apologize for the embarrassment I'd made with the person I'd given it to. Anyway, I think gentlemen are born. No more panettone at Futura.

The food ranges from sweet to savory: all kinds of brioche, pastries, cakes, savory brioche, focaccia, mini pizzas, Valdostane, and more. The cafeteria also offers a wide selection. I recommend trying their cakes at least once: the best, in my opinion, are the cheesecake and the chocolate and raspberry cake. The change in staff was a great choice: those who currently work here are always friendly and attentive! Well done! I'm only giving the place 4 stars, not because it's a bad pastry shop—in fact, it's very nice—but because I'd like to see more tables inside; depending on the time of day, it can be difficult to find a spot. Another plus is the parking: convenient on the Via Aurelia side for those staying a short time, and more practical at the back for those staying longer. Highly recommended!
