15/08/2025: You can also find special rye bread with cereals, it arrives fresh on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and it lasts up to a week, what can I say about the round pizza with drowned cherry tomatoes, good oven.

28/03/2026: It's the pizza I ate during my summer vacations in Viareggio. It's incredible how the tomato and mozzarella flavors still match, and how good it is!!! There's no pizza like it!!!!

17/03/2026: Gaio, the host, leaves nothing to chance. The hospitality is incredible, the food quality (all regional) top marks, the appetizers are enough to make a dinner, the first courses are homemade, and the meats are the restaurant's strong point. The atmosphere is beautiful, traditional, and welcoming. Despite the crowds in the summer, the clientele is diverse: tourists, regulars, and many locals. My favorite restaurant in Forte dei Marmi.

15/02/2026: A subdued experience. The prices seemed too high for the culinary offerings. The location is in a dated rustic style and, in my opinion, does not justify the final bill. I found the markups on the wine list decidedly excessive.

15/01/2026: Thin, crispy, and easily digestible pizza, just like it was here in Tuscany until a few years ago. Very good, for those who appreciate this type of pizza. Excellent ingredients (fresh porcini mushrooms, for example) and fair prices.

25/11/2025: Although the sea wasn't always cooperative, this beach resort proved to be excellent on several fronts. First and foremost, the umbrellas and loungers were well-maintained, although there wasn't much space between them. The bar service prepared excellent lunches, and the staff was always friendly.

07/10/2025: We stopped by at the end of the season for a coffee by the sea. Excellent service, with children's games on the sand. Friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommended, even for long-term stays; the facilities look excellent.

18/10/2025: We went last night with friends. We ordered six large meter-long pizzas and ended up with a bill of €300 for a pizza, when the price tag is €32 per pizza. The owner played on the flavors! I should point out that we ordered a marinara pizza, a tuna and onion pizza, a mascarpone and prosciutto, an eggplant pizza, and a spicy salami pizza. I don't think it's fair to pay €50 for a pizza like that! I think they deserve a serious financial check... and to top it off, they're charging €24 for a liter of draft beer! No comment... Avoid going if you can 😂

26/04/2026: Charging six euros in service fees for a few drinks is something I haven't experienced before in Italy. Also, check your bill carefully; ours was incorrect and the prices didn't match what was on the menu. The staff were aware of this but blamed it on a computer error (a very poor excuse, of course, because they only gave the money back when I pointed it out to them). Otherwise, it was fine, but I don't like it when you aren't honest about your prices, so three stars. *update* The owner is accusing me of being a liar. That is why I have added a photo of the receipt and changed from three stars to one star.

20/04/2026: Found it on The Fork. We had a great time, the staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was excellent, and you're right in the center! Highly recommended!

05/05/2026: The food is really good, homemade, and reasonably priced for what you get. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I've been there so many times, and every time I'm in the area, I definitely return.

19/04/2026: Ladies and gentlemen, the food at SottoSopra is good, and the portions will satisfy even the most greedy. I've finally rediscovered the taste and family atmosphere of historic Versilia. Well done everyone 👏👏

06/10/2025: The restaurant is good for its quality and service, with a very capable and helpful waitress. It's noisy due to the large number of relatives and the PATRON, who stands by the entrance until her eyelids drop. The hotel is a bit neglected, despite its new rooms; the bathroom faucets are so full of limescale that you risk contracting legionella, not to mention the very limited amount of water available. I'd give 4 stars for the restaurant and 3 (...) for the hotel, because despite everything, the rooms are semi-new and still quite clean. PS: I booked through Booking.com with breakfast, which we're interested in, but when paying they said it wasn't included. Why? I don't like arguing, so I avoided it since it wasn't the case. I repeat, this is a restaurant worth trying, with friendly service and a waitress who is courteous, and good food.

01/11/2025: I arrived at this restaurant with my small, well-behaved dog, properly leashed. We were informed that dogs were not accepted and asked to leave. The main problem wasn't the rules themselves, which may be legitimate, but rather the extremely hasty and impolite manner in which we were treated. Furthermore, we weren't even given the option of sitting at the outside tables, a solution that many other restaurants in the area readily offer. I believe that, even while respecting their own policies, a restaurant should maintain good manners, courtesy, and a welcoming attitude toward those who enter. A disappointing experience. We won't be returning. (Not accepting dogs in 2025 is excessive, but everyone has their own policies, and I respect them.)

27/09/2025: Rural trattoria, quality food. Ample private parking, pleasant outdoor setting. The daily menu is always excellent, featuring traditional dishes, and reasonable prices. Please note: this is a trattoria for easygoing diners who appreciate tradition without too many frills. Please note: dogs are not tolerated.

06/04/2026: I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but this time I couldn't help it. It was Easter Monday, the restaurant was packed, and there was a power outage along the entire waterfront: an unfortunate situation, certainly, and not attributable to the restaurant. The problem, however, was how it was handled. The entire outdoor dining area was manned by just two waitresses, and we were, in fact, completely neglected throughout the entire lunch, without any explanation or update. We had ordered a mixed appetizer consisting of four courses: after an hour and a half, only three of them arrived, all cold dishes that didn't even require electricity. After about an hour, we were asked for second courses; I asked for something quick, and after a few minutes, a single plate of paccheri arrived for two to share. The most disappointing thing was the bill: we paid full price for everything, including the incomplete appetizer. It's not so much the emergency itself, which can happen, but the complete lack of attention and care towards customers who, despite everything, pay in full. I left feeling truly disappointed and bitter.

We had ordered a mixed four-course appetizer, and three arrived after an hour and a half (since the food was cold and ready, it didn't require electricity). An hour later, they came asking for second courses. I asked for the quickest option available, and after five minutes, a plate of paccheri arrived for two. Dissatisfied with the emergency management, we went to pay full price for everything, even the appetizer, for which we only received three of the four courses. I'm sorry, but I've never left a place feeling so disappointed and angry. It's not the emergency, but the lack of attention shown by those who pay full price for no attention.
