19/10/2025: I asked the waitress if it was possible to split the bill, and she said yes. At the counter, I reiterated my desire to split the bill (so the total divided by 2, very simple) and specified that I wanted to pay in cash. In a very pedantic and impolite manner, the cashier said, "If you could tell me how many of you there are..." when two minutes earlier he had personally said we could split, and there were only two of us in front of the counter, which didn't imply there were more than one of us. Perhaps a little politeness and kindness wouldn't hurt, since I expressed my request very politely. A smile doesn't cost much, and politeness even less. :)

29/09/2025: Excellent bar, wonderful food, especially the two chefs, Carmine and Angie, who were very kind. When I asked about the menu, the seafood carbonara was excellent. I will definitely be back.

14/09/2025: My favorite bar in Camaiore. The terrace is great. Whether for a coffee or an aperitivo, Emanuele and his family welcome you like family...

04/01/2026: New Year's Eve à la carte dinner avoided the exhausting wait for a set menu. Fast service with interesting and beautifully presented dishes. A reasonable price for a New Year's Eve dinner with friendly and attentive service.

06/10/2025: The restaurant is good for its quality and service, with a very capable and helpful waitress. It's noisy due to the large number of relatives and the PATRON, who stands by the entrance until her eyelids drop. The hotel is a bit neglected, despite its new rooms; the bathroom faucets are so full of limescale that you risk contracting legionella, not to mention the very limited amount of water available. I'd give 4 stars for the restaurant and 3 (...) for the hotel, because despite everything, the rooms are semi-new and still quite clean. PS: I booked through Booking.com with breakfast, which we're interested in, but when paying they said it wasn't included. Why? I don't like arguing, so I avoided it since it wasn't the case. I repeat, this is a restaurant worth trying, with friendly service and a waitress who is courteous, and good food.

The chocolate cake was also a disappointment: according to the menu, it was supposed to be served hot, but it arrived cold at the table. If you advertise a dish a certain way, you should serve it as advertised. Overall, disappointing service, a lack of transparency, and no willingness to help – that's not how you treat your guests. We certainly won't be returning.

25/12/2025: I can say I've frequented this place. I can say there were times I felt sick in the morning because they were croissants from the day before. Sometimes I chose the super salty pizza, and sometimes it was good. A somewhat careless bakery, dirty, and with somewhat inexperienced staff. I'm very disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathrooms; they've never improved. I recommend when the products are made the same day! But there were days when I saw the same cake in the refrigerator for two weeks. That's why I decided to change.

03/11/2025: Poor quality food If the staff had been at least polite, I probably wouldn't have even written a review, but the girls were all unhelpful and rude; when we left, they didn't even say goodbye. That said, the pasta was loaded with garlic, and I have nothing against garlic, but the quantity was truly disproportionate and cumbersome. Not even the tomatoes in the salad had any flavor whatsoever. In short, a purely touristy place, and not even that cheap. It's a shame, because if a foreign tourist even tastes the Taggiasca olives in those scialatielli with octopus I had, they'll form a poor opinion of the true quality of the product.

01/12/2025: We had dinner here on 1 DEC 2025. The food was atrocious, it had ZERO FLAVOR! The spaghetti tasted like lukewarm wet flour with cold crushed tomatoes. The gnocchi wasn’t any better. The food was so bad (how bad was it!) I could take a food tasting tour of every hospital throughout the Scandinavian countries and find more flavorful meals than La Cicciascheria. Usually, you can’t go wrong in Italy (except Rome or Naples on occasion); however, this place fleeced me outta 67 Euros, because I could only take two bites outta of every dish. The first to taste and the second to make sure the first was that bad! Honestly, I should’ve had a Kebab or McDonald’s. I really don’t like to throw a restaurant under the bus; but this place deserves the 1 Star across the board review (which is still generous). To make matters worse, I told the waiter 4 times “I don’t eat pork!” so what does he do…..he served me a pork dish. It didn’t help there were flies inside the restaurant (in December no less) at night! While the staff seemed nice, it is better to stay away. There are plenty of other decent options in Lucca.

22/11/2025: We had the set menu. Very reasonably priced. For starters, a hearty soup that was quite good. The mushroom lasagna was decent. A glass of wine and coffee came to €15. You can't ask for more. They also have a wide variety of cakes, and you can enjoy a hot chocolate with a view of Lucca's beautiful piazza.

Excellent coffee and expertly crafted desserts that hold a story far beyond the mere recipe. Tradition, friendliness, professionalism: Taddeucci has all the best cards in the deck (to put it in Games' terms). It really makes you want to take home a "souvenir," a taste to share with loved ones. Well done!

10/11/2025: I went there for lunch and, luckily, I called ahead because the place was quite busy. Even though it was November, it was wonderful sitting outside in the sun — such a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant is perfect for a nice meal out, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is absolutely sublime, every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service is excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. You definitely won’t be disappointed. I totally recommend it! TRY SEAFOOD CARBONARA!!

14/12/2025: Unwelcoming atmosphere, owner superficial, arrogant, and unfriendly. The prices of pastries and croissants aren't displayed, and they're priced like a dessert you eat at the table (€5). We didn't sit inside, otherwise they would have charged us a cover charge (they asked me where I'd be eating). Two cannoli (not homemade) and three coffees cost €13.60. Absolutely avoid! Awful experience!
