29/09/2025: I'm so damned if I'll ever go back! I remember the discrimination when asking for a racial vaccination pass very well. You're the dogs of hope...lucky other restaurants were simply civil.

08/09/2025: Classic restaurant with traditional food. Informal atmosphere. A lovely lunch with tagliatelle and homemade sauce, just like in the old days! Very good. The location on Mount Argegna is enchanting. A lovely lawn to relax in.

09/10/2025: First night in Lucca and didn’t have a reservation anywhere. Tried to get into a highly recommended restaurant but it was full. Found Piccolo Mondo and they could take us (only 2 people). Food was excellent - soup, shrimp risotto, broccoli flan and spaghetti bolognese. All great! But service was horrible - the staff made us feel like they were doing us a favour by even recognizing us. But there are SO many great restaurants to enjoy that one doesn’t have to put up with such poor service.

07/03/2026: The best ever experience, tastiest pizza with an extraordinary tomato sauce in the world and the most original chef. We stayed in Viareggio in August 2025 and still remember the unforgettable flavour!

07/10/2025: "Taste, hospitality, and the Versilia sun at the Osteria al Pontile in Tonfano" On a bright, sunny day, we chose to have lunch at the Osteria al Pontile, in the heart of Tonfano's main square. A truly pleasant location, perfectly reflecting the order and care that distinguish Versilia: well-kept green lawns, flowers everywhere, convenient services, and an overall feeling of harmony and cleanliness. This area also boasts vast sandy beaches, which at the end of the season, with the beach resorts closed, transform into the perfect place for a relaxing after-lunch stroll, just steps from the restaurant. A truly complete experience, combining good food and the beauty of the landscape. The welcome was warm from the start, even for our large dog, who was welcomed and made to feel at ease. It's rare to find such pet-friendly establishments without sacrificing elegance or quality service. Lunch satisfied all the family's tastes. We started with a mixed seafood appetizer with balanced, fresh flavors. Next up was a crispy fried fish and vegetables dish, light and well-executed, and the dish I was most excited about: a clam pasta dish that lived up to every promise: flavorful, fragrant, and perfect. Definitely the highlight of our lunch. We concluded with a tiramisu without coffee, colored with alkermes: an original, delicate twist that's definitely worth trying again. The staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and sunny. We'll definitely be back: Osteria al Pontile is a perfect example of how good food, hospitality, and the beauty of the area make Versilia a special destination in every season.

19/10/2025: Usually a very crowded place in the evening. Very good cocktails and very polite staff, although I can see they have some difficulties at times. Otherwise, a good place to visit with a group of friends. 👍

27/09/2025: A very ordinary spritz (passed off as a cocktail on the dresser) and a small tonic (really small) accompanied by two chips, but two and nothing else. €13 today... Very expensive in my opinion...

25/11/2025: I've been to Bioroom and I have to say it's become one of my favorite places! The smoothies, juices, and salads are truly delicious, made with fresh, quality ingredients. In my opinion, the prices are more than fair for what they offer. The staff is incredibly kind, professional, always smiling, and super helpful: an added value that really makes the difference. I highly recommend it for a light lunch or dinner, or just a healthy snack. A must-try! 💚

04/11/2025: I had the Acai Bowl for the first time. Truly delicious. They have so many good, authentic things to eat, a wide selection. The staff is very friendly, and the shop is beautiful and welcoming. I recommend it!

10/09/2025: Google Maps says "sober hotel with a nightclub" – that phrase doesn't fit at all! It's a "simpler" but clean and welcoming holiday hotel practically right on the seafront (they offer dinner for half/full board or spontaneous restaurant guests, but no nightclub). The dining room is rather austere and cool, but the food is very good! The street is busy, even at night, but it's not very loud – it never bothered us. There were three of us there, including our 15-year-old daughter. The breakfast was good, with options such as fruit, eggs, jams, nut spreads, cakes, and bruschetta. Some items are served after you select them, presumably to reduce food waste from overfilled plates. We loved it! Highly recommended!

08/09/2025: When you go on vacation, you're supposed to rest and enjoy yourself, but unfortunately, we weren't able to do that optimally at this hotel. We encountered several issues that irritated us and even caused us sleepless nights on some nights. First of all, the breakfast was very limited. You can choose from two different types of bread and two types of croissants. They also offer cottage cheese bowls with muesli, fruit, and various sweet dishes (pancakes, cake, and pie). It might just be that we're spoiled, but a nice fried or scrambled egg wasn't available, and toast wasn't an option either. What was good about breakfast was the service. You could order whatever you wanted, and they would put it on your plate. They also asked for your coffee/drink and brought it to the table. Now, on to the hotel room, which had quite a few shortcomings. The bed was very hard, which meant I woke up a few mornings with back pain. The curtain was very translucent, so daylight woke us up as early as 7:00 or 7:30 AM. The room is also very noisy, and you can hear everything in the hallway, including the cleaners who start chatting at 8:00 AM. The bathroom sink was so low that even my wife (165cm tall) had to bend down to wash her hands. The shower head is mounted so that it points at the sliding glass door, a completely illogical layout, and you can't even use the strongest jet because it hits the glass before you do. And worst of all, the air conditioning unit suddenly starts vibrating after a few hours. So loudly that it wakes you up in the middle of the night. This caused us quite a few sleepless nights. We went to reception twice because of this, and the first time they said we couldn't hear anything, and the second time they said a technician had come. However, on our last night before leaving, it happened again, but oh well... complaining was pointless then. Changing rooms wasn't an option either, according to the morning shift receptionist. When we explained our irritations and dissatisfaction with the room, this receptionist showed little sympathy. She looked at us as if she were seeing water burning; I don't think she understood half of the English. All in all, we left three days earlier than planned because it didn't give us a holiday feeling or a peaceful atmosphere, and unfortunately, they couldn't accommodate us. One more point: Yes, they do have a free bike service, but it comes with the feeling of hoping nothing breaks or falls off every time you climb a flight of stairs. The bikes all have some defect and are mainly held together with zip ties. Our compliments to the evening shift receptionist, who listened to all our complaints and was very sorry that we had such a bad experience at the hotel. Unfortunately, she also indicated that the hotel owner probably won't do anything about it. Hence this review to inform others about the current state of the hotel. Not recommended.

31/01/2026: The only good advice is to always call first to find out if there is a quiz evening, because they start at 8.30pm and if it gets noisy it becomes impossible to talk at a distance of one metre.

01/03/2026: The waiter was nice, the food was tasteless, the fish came out dry, the salad was boring, the TV was on, playing football, and it disturbed our conversation. We thought we were having a good dinner, but unfortunately it was a disappointment.

26/02/2026: We stepped inside La Terrazza on a cold day in January as much to get out of the wind as anything. Knowing nothing of the restaurant beforehand, we were rewarded with an exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere inside was festive, the service excellent, and the food delicious. The pizza was perfectly baked, with a soft and chewy dough. I never thought of Italy and roasted potatoes together before, but that has changed after La Terrazza. We loved our lunch and would happily return!
