02/11/2025: A classic industrial/commercial area bar, in my opinion. Informal atmosphere, average prices. Polite and fairly fast service. Sweet and savory breakfast items could be improved a bit. Some on-site parking is available.

01/12/2025: We had dinner here on 1 DEC 2025. The food was atrocious, it had ZERO FLAVOR! The spaghetti tasted like lukewarm wet flour with cold crushed tomatoes. The gnocchi wasn’t any better. The food was so bad (how bad was it!) I could take a food tasting tour of every hospital throughout the Scandinavian countries and find more flavorful meals than La Cicciascheria. Usually, you can’t go wrong in Italy (except Rome or Naples on occasion); however, this place fleeced me outta 67 Euros, because I could only take two bites outta of every dish. The first to taste and the second to make sure the first was that bad! Honestly, I should’ve had a Kebab or McDonald’s. I really don’t like to throw a restaurant under the bus; but this place deserves the 1 Star across the board review (which is still generous). To make matters worse, I told the waiter 4 times “I don’t eat pork!” so what does he do…..he served me a pork dish. It didn’t help there were flies inside the restaurant (in December no less) at night! While the staff seemed nice, it is better to stay away. There are plenty of other decent options in Lucca.

22/11/2025: We had the set menu. Very reasonably priced. For starters, a hearty soup that was quite good. The mushroom lasagna was decent. A glass of wine and coffee came to €15. You can't ask for more. They also have a wide variety of cakes, and you can enjoy a hot chocolate with a view of Lucca's beautiful piazza.

31/12/2025: Excellent bar, from my point of view, I don't often order spritz but I had it in this place and it was really good

15/12/2025: Located just off the highway, convenient parking. You'll always find something savory or sweet to eat. Friendly staff. It seems open 24 hours a day, but it's open late at night.

10/11/2025: I went there for lunch and, luckily, I called ahead because the place was quite busy. Even though it was November, it was wonderful sitting outside in the sun — such a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant is perfect for a nice meal out, with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is absolutely sublime, every dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The service is excellent — friendly, attentive, and professional. You definitely won’t be disappointed. I totally recommend it! TRY SEAFOOD CARBONARA!!

11/01/2026: I dined at Giardino dei Mari in Viareggio and the experience was overall very positive. Following the staff's guidance, I tried a sea bass with Vernaccia wine, which was simply phenomenal: a perfect balance of flavors and incredibly fresh fish. The paccheri were also very good, cooked to perfection and well-seasoned. For me, fried fish is always the "test point" for a seafood restaurant: the mixed seafood was excellent, crispy and flavorful, but unfortunately the squid had the wrong texture, which detracted somewhat from its pleasantness. It's a real shame, because this detail prevents me from awarding a fifth star, despite the fact that the closing was a success with some phenomenal desserts. Overall, an excellent place where the passion for cooking shines through. I'll definitely be back to be amazed by their dishes again!

27/12/2025: Unfortunately it was a disappointment to come and eat here. The pizza was low quality and cold. Then we left the toilet platform without even toilet paper. Then we asked for coffee which we didn't have. Oh well... Then to top it off, the bill was very high. I definitely won't be back. For 4 people, almost one hundred euros!!!!!!!! We didn't eat anything.

06/12/2025: During a trip to Tuscany, we stopped by chance at the Pizzeria "Pizza55" in Pietrasanta, and it turned out to be a delightful discovery. The place is small but very well-kept, with a welcoming and quiet atmosphere, ideal for a relaxing break after a stroll through the historic center. We were greeted and served by a truly kind and professional young man, attentive to detail and always smiling. The lady who ran the place was also incredibly sweet and hospitable, helping us feel immediately at ease. We ordered two excellent Pils, a Diavola and a Margherita with tuna, which proved light, digestible, and excellent in flavor. The well-leavened dough and quality ingredients really make the difference. In short, a simple but perfect experience. I absolutely recommend Pizzeria 55 to anyone in Pietrasanta who wants a good pizza served with kindness and care.

10/11/2025: A quick lunch break during our tour of Viareggio in early November. We chose this little place on the promenade for the small glass-fronted terrace, which ensured a pleasant temperature. We ordered two stuffed piadinas and then a Nutella crepe to share for dessert, all washed down with two bottled beers. Unfortunately, they didn't have any on tap, even though it was on the menu. However, my piadina wasn't cooked through, and the mozzarella was still cold. The service was very quick, and the staff were friendly. The restrooms, however, are very small and difficult to access due to the narrow corridor. There was no cover charge, and the final bill was €28, as per the attached receipt.

25/12/2025: We stayed there for two nights, and it was enough… First, we arrive at the prescribed time and had to wait an hour and a half because the staff does not live there and the lady was very late… Second, the rooms where nice and spacious, but the kitchen was heavily under equipped… Maybe it is a strategy to get you to go to the restaurant ? Third, it was a very hot summer and the air-conditioning was not working… The staff came to look at it and he was very nice about it, but nothing he could do to repair… He offered us to use the pool to cool off, and then the staff gave us a bad review on airbb because we went into the pool after hour which is their fault For not providing the service they claim to have. Four, The tenant under us had dogs that kept barking all night and the restaurant was buzzing, which we can understand and accept, but without the air-conditioning working, we had to keep the window open, and the noise was unbearable… Overall, it was a bad experience and I would not recommend this establishment…

03/10/2025: We celebrated a wedding. Everything was very beautiful. The menu was simple but good, but skimping on the wine isn't a good idea. At my table, we drank water, which was a real shame. For the rest, the atmosphere was nice.

05/11/2025: Recommended by a neighbor, I took advantage of the home delivery service. It was excellent! The pizza is large, the dough isn't heavy, and the toppings are good, both in quality and quantity! Definitely worth repeating! Well done!
