07/11/2025: An excellent venue stocked with all types of alcoholic beverages, from beer to spirits; and excellent food, too. At aperitif time, they serve a lovely buffet so you can enjoy your cocktail without leaving an empty stomach. For dinner, you can enjoy excellent pizzas, sandwiches, or Tuscan-style platters. Highly recommended.

02/11/2025: A classic industrial/commercial area bar, in my opinion. Informal atmosphere, average prices. Polite and fairly fast service. Sweet and savory breakfast items could be improved a bit. Some on-site parking is available.

03/01/2026: The best seafood restaurant in Viareggio... by far. Only local ingredients are used, including those found at the local fish market. Fair prices for the quality. If you're looking for baked sea bream or tuna steak, this isn't for you. Trust the restaurant and its owner's philosophy.

04/12/2025: The arrogant owner "forces" you to order a tasting, with no choice and no warning if you're a first-timer. The portions are small and not very good for the price. A disgrace!

08/09/2025: Dear Hotel Playa Team, We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful stay at your hotel. We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. Thank you for the wonderful time and warm greetings from Germany! M. & A.

15/10/2025: New facilities, welcoming staff... all it takes is an expansion of the parking lot or a parking training course for our customers and we're all set!

25/12/2025: We stayed there for two nights, and it was enough… First, we arrive at the prescribed time and had to wait an hour and a half because the staff does not live there and the lady was very late… Second, the rooms where nice and spacious, but the kitchen was heavily under equipped… Maybe it is a strategy to get you to go to the restaurant ? Third, it was a very hot summer and the air-conditioning was not working… The staff came to look at it and he was very nice about it, but nothing he could do to repair… He offered us to use the pool to cool off, and then the staff gave us a bad review on airbb because we went into the pool after hour which is their fault For not providing the service they claim to have. Four, The tenant under us had dogs that kept barking all night and the restaurant was buzzing, which we can understand and accept, but without the air-conditioning working, we had to keep the window open, and the noise was unbearable… Overall, it was a bad experience and I would not recommend this establishment…

03/10/2025: We celebrated a wedding. Everything was very beautiful. The menu was simple but good, but skimping on the wine isn't a good idea. At my table, we drank water, which was a real shame. For the rest, the atmosphere was nice.

05/06/2025: Gran pizza por lonchas. Mi esposa y yo compartimos dos rebanadas y fue bastante lleno. Ella tenía marguerita y yo carne. El lugar es muy casual y tiene solo unas pocas mesas. Llevamos y funcionó bien. También venden vino por la división que era perfecto para nosotros. BTW hicimos un tour gastronómico de Lucca más tarde en la semana y el guía nos trajo aquí.
