18/09/2025: How lovely! A 10 for the exquisite hospitality and the ancient flavor that permeates this gem nestled in the heart of Lucca. Excellent coffee and expertly crafted desserts that hold a story far beyond the mere recipe. Tradition, friendliness, professionalism: Taddeucci has all the best cards in the deck (to put it in Games' terms). It really makes you want to take home a "souvenir," a taste to share with loved ones. Well done!

11/12/2025: Huge potential, probably under-exploited due to the off-season. There's a children's area, although it's not proportionate to the size of the venue. I hope to return in the summer to see if any differences arise.

04/12/2025: Good food, freshly cooked, and a wide selection of products. Pizza is also available, and takeout is also available. Not recommended on weekends and holidays due to the high traffic and therefore longer wait times.

05/11/2025: Located in the heart of the Fort, this restaurant offers quick, simply prepared seafood dishes. Service is average but unprofessional. On a negative note, they don't serve coffee after the meal.

26/10/2025: It’s okay, but nothing special. The pizza was fine, the dessert so-so, and they didn’t even have coffee – unbelievable for an Italian place. I spent over €40 just for a pizza, a small beer, an Amaro Averna, and a small dessert.

24/11/2025: Sea bass fish is very expensive. We showed a photo of a small fish for one person. Waitress said that they have only one fish for two persons. After waitress came again and said they have fish for three persons only. They charged for 2 kg sea bash fish €193. Be careful, ask for the weight and total price of the fish before you order. Food is not tasty. Service is very slow, it took them 15 minutes to bring a glass. No space between the trees in the garden. Receipt photos are attached.

27/09/2025: We had delicious lobster pasta and sat in the garden. The food and service were both excellent. If I ever get back to that region I will go back. Highly recommended.

31/12/2025: Excellent bar, from my point of view, I don't often order spritz but I had it in this place and it was really good

15/12/2025: Located just off the highway, convenient parking. You'll always find something savory or sweet to eat. Friendly staff. It seems open 24 hours a day, but it's open late at night.

02/11/2025: A classic industrial/commercial area bar, in my opinion. Informal atmosphere, average prices. Polite and fairly fast service. Sweet and savory breakfast items could be improved a bit. Some on-site parking is available.

09/09/2025: We were enchanted from start to finish! In the days before, I hadn't eaten such good pizza anywhere in Italy as I did at this restaurant 🍕. The staff was very attentive and accommodating! The ambiance was wonderful; the restaurant is located in nature... there are lots of 🌳 trees outside, with the beautiful brickwork and the sweet lighting, making everything feel super romantic! Definitely recommended! 😍

25/12/2025: We stayed there for two nights, and it was enough… First, we arrive at the prescribed time and had to wait an hour and a half because the staff does not live there and the lady was very late… Second, the rooms where nice and spacious, but the kitchen was heavily under equipped… Maybe it is a strategy to get you to go to the restaurant ? Third, it was a very hot summer and the air-conditioning was not working… The staff came to look at it and he was very nice about it, but nothing he could do to repair… He offered us to use the pool to cool off, and then the staff gave us a bad review on airbb because we went into the pool after hour which is their fault For not providing the service they claim to have. Four, The tenant under us had dogs that kept barking all night and the restaurant was buzzing, which we can understand and accept, but without the air-conditioning working, we had to keep the window open, and the noise was unbearable… Overall, it was a bad experience and I would not recommend this establishment…

03/10/2025: We celebrated a wedding. Everything was very beautiful. The menu was simple but good, but skimping on the wine isn't a good idea. At my table, we drank water, which was a real shame. For the rest, the atmosphere was nice.

03/11/2025: Poor quality food If the staff had been at least polite, I probably wouldn't have even written a review, but the girls were all unhelpful and rude; when we left, they didn't even say goodbye. That said, the pasta was loaded with garlic, and I have nothing against garlic, but the quantity was truly disproportionate and cumbersome. Not even the tomatoes in the salad had any flavor whatsoever. In short, a purely touristy place, and not even that cheap. It's a shame, because if a foreign tourist even tastes the Taggiasca olives in those scialatielli with octopus I had, they'll form a poor opinion of the true quality of the product.

08/09/2025: Dear Hotel Playa Team, We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful stay at your hotel. We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. 01/12/2025: We had dinner here on 1 DEC 2025. The food was atrocious, it had ZERO FLAVOR! The spaghetti tasted like lukewarm wet flour with cold crushed tomatoes. The gnocchi wasn’t any better. The food was so bad (how bad was it!) I could take a food tasting tour of every hospital throughout the Scandinavian countries and find more flavorful meals than La Cicciascheria. Usually, you can’t go wrong in Italy (except Rome or Naples on occasion); however, this place fleeced me outta 67 Euros, because I could only take two bites outta of every dish. The first to taste and the second to make sure the first was that bad! Honestly, I should’ve had a Kebab or McDonald’s. I really don’t like to throw a restaurant under the bus; but this place deserves the 1 Star across the board review (which is still generous). To make matters worse, I told the waiter 4 times “I don’t eat pork!” so what does he do…..he served me a pork dish. It didn’t help there were flies inside the restaurant (in December no less) at night! While the staff seemed nice, it is better to stay away. There are plenty of other decent options in Lucca.

22/11/2025: We had the set menu. Very reasonably priced. For starters, a hearty soup that was quite good. The mushroom lasagna was decent. A glass of wine and coffee came to €15. You can't ask for more. They also have a wide variety of cakes, and you can enjoy a hot chocolate with a view of Lucca's beautiful piazza.
