05/04/2026: Bagno Viareggio, next to the dock. Easter lunch with a dedicated menu featuring a single appetizer, a choice of three first courses, and two second courses. Small kitchen but a skilled chef. Two appetizers, one first course, one second course, two glasses of wine, and water. A children's menu of pasta with tomato sauce and French fries included €109, considering it was Easter. The food was honest and, above all, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was under construction but discreet, right on the beach. There were a few tables under the veranda, others outside, but overall, it was okay. The excellent food played a major role: the fish steak was truly excellent and a nice, generous plate (in the photo, I had already taken a couple of bites). I tried the red mullet paccheri, which were also delicious.

23/05/2026: HISTORIC pub. If you've never had a beer at Nicola's or a cocktail, you're probably not from Lucca. Nicola exudes energy to EVERYONE. His entire staff, everyone who comes through the door. Ambience 5*, staff 5*, sandwiches 5*, and if I've forgotten anything, it's on the 5* list. For 5* beer lovers. I love the scent of mint and the 5* Mojito.

15/05/2026: A very special pub. A dive into the past. Relics of a bygone era (the 80s and 90s) that have remained in everyone's hearts. Excellent beer and super sandwiches. Fair prices.

09/11/2025: This is my second time here, and the second time it's always the same story. It's a birthday table, you call, and they force you to pay €20 per person for an aperitif, or else the food won't all arrive at once, and we'll be forced to do it Roman style. Okay, we accept. The platters arrive with cold food, there's no one-size-fits-all tasting, some items are limited in quantity, and the platters are randomly arranged. They bring some things to some, and other items to others. We complain, and not much is done. To make up for it, they deliver large quantities of subpar food, like cold, poorly made sandwiches, stale focaccia, cold crostini with sausage and frozen mozzarella. We had to ask for some items to be reheated, otherwise inedible. Regardless, we felt bad afterwards because the food clearly isn't good quality. Once can happen twice in a year, I think it's the rule here. Furthermore, the staff, while friendly, doesn't do much to hide the annoyance felt by a (justifiably) dissatisfied table. The place also has terrible acoustics; you have to shout to be heard. Perhaps they'll treat you better if you're two people. Highly discouraged for large tables with a set menu.

17/08/2026: Fresh fish is so good! Really fresh, it didn't even need a side dish.

15/08/2026: Definitely not an experience. We were drawn to the puccia menu displayed outside. Since I don't eat shellfish or crustaceans, the swordfish puccia was one of the few options for a peaceful lunch with my friends (who instead ordered various seafood dishes). When ordering, the reaction of one of the older waiters was completely inappropriate: he looked at me irritably and said, "You're at a restaurant and you order puccia?" I should point out that the younger staff were very kind and professional, but this waiter's attitude was unacceptable. Those who work in the dining room should consider that customers may have different tastes, preferences, or dietary requirements, without judging or making people feel uncomfortable for choosing from a menu regularly offered by the restaurant. As if that weren't enough, the puccia (€10) turned out to be of terrible quality: completely dry, parched, and flavorless. A classic tourist trap that focuses entirely on location and little on quality and customer service. Not recommended.

11/08/2026: Here's our take: the food at this agriturismo is excellent. Excellent cheeses, good cured meats, excellent first courses, and excellent second courses.

17/07/2026: Like going to lunch at grandma's!!! Taste and simplicity! Besides the delicious meat and mushroom sauce, a special mention goes to the zucchini from their garden: spectacular!!!

09/09/2025: We were enchanted from start to finish! In the days before, I hadn't eaten such good pizza anywhere in Italy as I did at this restaurant 🍕. The staff was very attentive and accommodating! The ambiance was wonderful; the restaurant is located in nature... there are lots of 🌳 trees outside, with the beautiful brickwork and the sweet lighting, making everything feel super romantic! Definitely recommended! 😍

11/08/2026: A very nice beach club, the service was great – you can order drinks directly to the beach, and a cabin with a private shower is included in the price. The sun loungers by the pool and on the beach are well spaced, providing more room and privacy.

07/08/2026: Very unique beach club in the heart of Viareggio. A bit pricey, but worth every euro paid. This beach club has a pool, jacuzzi, big beach spots with umbrella, Loungers and sun beds. As well as private changing rooms that include a private shower, toilet and safe box. Please note that the spa area ( steam room, sauna and massage) are closed without an expected reopening date. Nonetheless, this beach club remains top of the line. Please also note that in Italy, Italians reserve for the whole season, it is very common tradition in Italy, that is why you will always see that during high season many spots usually in the front rows, are empty because the people who reserve those spots can come in and out at any time and the lidos cannot do double booking. Don’t take it personal. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

05/04/2026: We had a very disappointing experience here. We arrived to find multiple empty tables available, and the first staff member was welcoming—she even gave us a menu and seemed ready to seat us. However, moments later, a woman who appeared to be the manager came to the door and abruptly told us there was no space available. This was especially frustrating because it was clearly not true, and even more so because I was with my elderly mother. The way we were turned away felt dismissive and unkind, with no real explanation or attempt to accommodate us. It’s unfortunate because first impressions matter, and this experience left us feeling unwelcome. I would not recommend a place that treats potential guests this way.

19/07/2026: Unfortunately, it was a very negative experience. We were three people for dinner. One of the raw meat appetizers arrived with hairs on the plate, an incident we consider unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. The most unpleasant part, however, was the final bill. Recalculating the total based on the dishes and drinks we actually ordered, we found a difference of over €100 over what we should have paid. Furthermore, the receipt only shows the final total, without detailing the individual items, making it impossible to verify the origin of this amount. Between the hygiene issue and the total lack of transparency regarding the bill, the experience was truly disappointing. More than disappointed, we were surprised: this swindler-run restaurant really doesn't fit in with the Versilia context.

01/11/2025: Located in a small village with beautiful views and a tranquility that, if you go to those places, well, it's exactly what you're looking for!! The owner welcomes you like a home away from home, always with his wonderful smile!! Beautiful, new, and clean rooms!! A hearty, classic breakfast with delicious items, served with a smile and plenty of it, so much so that they always stop by to check if you need anything else. What can I say... I can't wait to come back and stay again!!!

31/07/2026: The Testaroli al Pesto were truly delicious and, to my German taste, something quite exotic. I'd gladly order them again! The restaurant makes a good impression right from the moment you walk in. They've made the most of the ambiance, given its proximity to the street intersection, but it can be a bit noisy outside.
