06/11/2025: Good pizza, particularly thin crust, and a wide selection on the menu. The wait was very long (over 50 minutes), and unfortunately the restrooms weren't in the best condition.

20/12/2025: For me, it's the best restaurant in the area. Authentic and delicious cuisine. The menu is both homely and traditional. If you fall for something, you'll fall for it on your feet. The first courses are excellent, from penne all'arrabbiata to farfalle with tuna, from rigatoni with gorgonzola and sedanini to the classic tordelli from Versilia. When chef Fabrizio is in the mood, he also cooks absolutely exceptional seafood dishes, starting with spaghetti allo scoglio. From Monday to Saturday, for lunch (opening at 12:00 p.m. and closing at 2:00 p.m.), you can choose the business lunch menu: for €14, you get a first course, second course, side dish (your choice of all three), bread, water, house wine, and coffee. For those who prefer a lighter option, they make delicious salads that you can customize to your liking. In the evening (Wednesday to Sunday) and at Sunday lunch, even without the "business lunch" option, prices remain affordable. You must try their steak, as well as the chef's desserts, which are truly remarkable. The atmosphere is simple, the service attentive and reasonably quick. I prefer going there for lunch during the week, because the atmosphere is warmer and more authentic, with workers, retirees, and other workers enjoying the excellent dishes.

28/02/2026: Same comment as "der weinrat" about the pretty disgusting antipasto (crostini da Checco) which was probably nice 10 years ago and nowadays a greasy affair produced one a month and kept in the fridge... No idea, how this place manages to stay mentioned in the Michelin Guide. Their reviewers probably have not visited for the last 5 or 10 years...

25/01/2026: Here's a place that belongs to our memory, a tradition that's been around for about 50 years, that's how many years we've been frequenting this restaurant: its warmth, not only from the blazing fireplace, but the entire environment, creates a homely, welcoming atmosphere. Francesco and his brother have always welcomed us with their genuine hospitality, from when we used to go with my grandparents, and then gradually, up until today, despite the absences that time inexorably inflicts on us, we have maintained the tradition, today to celebrate Gianluigi's birthday. The food never disappoints, excellent, those ravioli that Federico has enjoyed since he was a child, and which today he called the best he's ever eaten in his entire life, the pappardelle with wild boar, the paccheri with mallard, the wild boar, and those crostini whose recipe I'd love to learn. We will continue to honor the tradition, always finding an opportunity to return to this place that feels like home. Don't touch the furniture, don't touch anything. Everything must stay where it is. Its magnificent fireplace is a symbol, an unchanged presence that warms our hearts.

02/03/2026: If you walk into this bakery and find the fantastic Piera, you're in for a treat. She'll talk to you with such passion about the products on display that you'll want to try them all, and we returned twice in half an hour to try her suggestions. Everything here is delicious, from the focaccias to the desserts. Fill up on the rice fritters, which are amazing, more delicate than the traditional Carnival ones. You'll regret having too few, like we did, and you'll want to go back (which is what happened to us). But the real treat is the Lucanian Torta d'erbi ch'obecchi, a sweet, hearty, and delicious cake split in two—an absolute must-try. Everything here will win you over, but the shop's true asset is Piera, who, with a wonderful smile, will immerse you in Lucanian traditions and take you on a journey of flavors. Unmissable!

22/02/2026: Was in line ready to buy, but left disgusted. One employee was chewing bread while serving customers, talking with her mouth open and crumbs falling near the food. Another gave bread to a dog inside the bakery, touched the dog’s mouth, and then handled exposed pastries without washing her hands. The food looked good, but the lack of basic hygiene made me sick to my stomach. I walked out without buying anything. Very disappointing.

01/03/2026: An extremely disappointing experience ​I'd like to point out that my visit to this establishment was a complete failure. ​The atmosphere is characterized by an unpleasant dampness and a musty, moldy odor that makes the atmosphere unhealthy. The state of the premises is particularly worrying: widespread neglect and a clear lack of hygiene make the environment grotesque and repulsive to any diner. ​As for the food, the situation doesn't improve: the dishes were worryingly poor in quality. Ultimately, the gap between the restaurant's ambitions and the reality seemed unbridgeable. Therefore, I strongly advise against visiting such a run-down establishment.

22/10/2025: I stopped here because I desperately needed the restroom, but it was absolutely filthy. The service was okay, and the ice cream was delicious.

20/08/2025: Disappointing. The reviews are excellent, but the gelato is just plain old gelato. Fast service, and you can sit outside.

17/08/2025: Rude and ill-mannered I will not go anymore

14/03/2026: From entry the female staff were extremely rude. The hostess seating us was almost mean. It took a long time to get our first order in, which was fine, but the entire time we were given rude responses and nasty looks. It was all you can eat which was great - but when our second round took so long that it had to be looked into, we didn’t mind. Then, when we went to order our third round, the same lady who seated us was tuning us something about the time and very rudely said “give me your menu”. The service was terrifyingly rude. We enjoyed the food.
