The owners are very kind: upon arrival, they gave us a parasol closer to the sea than the one we had booked online, as the somewhat unstable weather allowed. 22/08/2025: Unfortunately, there aren't any more stars to award – otherwise, it would be at least 10 out of 5. The owners are friendly, explain everything in detail, and try to find a solution for all requests. Our Italian is unfortunately very rudimentary, but here, many things are explained non-verbally in English and with hand gestures. The attached restaurant is fast, has excellent food, and very friendly staff. The lifeguard is very attentive, friendly, and quickly provides information about the weather and dangerous areas. The beach itself is clean and beautiful, the facilities (sun loungers, umbrellas, etc.) are impeccable, and it's not directly in the center – which was the reason we chose it. A free parking lot completes the offer. We booked the spot online on a whim. Based on our experience on site, we decided to extend our stay as long as there was space available. Thank you for the wonderful time! Unfortunately, the weather is beyond our control, so we've made do with it.

22/03/2026: A REAL restaurant like it used to be, where you eat well and sit comfortably. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't tried it. It's hard to find a better one around.

25/12/2025: The atmosphere was poorly heated, and the food was cold and served with stale bread. The only things we appreciated were the panzanelle and focaccia, served 45 minutes before the appetizer. To forget.

We ate really well: starting with an excellent panuozzo, followed by truly wonderful spaghetti with cicadas, and continuing with artichokes alla giudia. For us, this place is always a guarantee of a good time!

09/11/2025: This is my second time here, and the second time it's always the same story. It's a birthday table, you call, and they force you to pay €20 per person for an aperitif, or else the food won't all arrive at once, and we'll be forced to do it Roman style. Okay, we accept. The platters arrive with cold food, there's no one-size-fits-all tasting, some items are limited in quantity, and the platters are randomly arranged. They bring some things to some, and other items to others. We complain, and not much is done. To make up for it, they deliver large quantities of subpar food, like cold, poorly made sandwiches, stale focaccia, cold crostini with sausage and frozen mozzarella. We had to ask for some items to be reheated, otherwise inedible. Regardless, we felt bad afterwards because the food clearly isn't good quality. Once can happen twice in a year, I think it's the rule here. Furthermore, the staff, while friendly, doesn't do much to hide the annoyance felt by a (justifiably) dissatisfied table. The place also has terrible acoustics; you have to shout to be heard. Perhaps they'll treat you better if you're two people. Highly discouraged for large tables with a set menu.

28/02/2026: Same comment as "der weinrat" about the pretty disgusting antipasto (crostini da Checco) which was probably nice 10 years ago and nowadays a greasy affair produced one a month and kept in the fridge... No idea, how this place manages to stay mentioned in the Michelin Guide. Their reviewers probably have not visited for the last 5 or 10 years...

25/01/2026: Here's a place that belongs to our memory, a tradition that's been around for about 50 years, that's how many years we've been frequenting this restaurant: its warmth, not only from the blazing fireplace, but the entire environment, creates a homely, welcoming atmosphere. Francesco and his brother have always welcomed us with their genuine hospitality, from when we used to go with my grandparents, and then gradually, up until today, despite the absences that time inexorably inflicts on us, we have maintained the tradition, today to celebrate Gianluigi's birthday. The food never disappoints, excellent, those ravioli that Federico has enjoyed since he was a child, and which today he called the best he's ever eaten in his entire life, the pappardelle with wild boar, the paccheri with mallard, the wild boar, and those crostini whose recipe I'd love to learn. We will continue to honor the tradition, always finding an opportunity to return to this place that feels like home. Don't touch the furniture, don't touch anything. Everything must stay where it is. Its magnificent fireplace is a symbol, an unchanged presence that warms our hearts.
