14/12/2024: I came across it by chance while walking the streets around the pier. I stopped for a business lunch. I was immediately struck by the courtesy. Spaghetti with pecorino and al dente mussels, as I like them, very good. Followed by a very light fried fish and vegetables. Definitely recommended.

23/11/2024: We read the reviews first and I thought come on, maybe the bad reviews are from bad people. Then we booked for 12pm via the fork. Then we are offered an à la carte menu or a tasting menu. We chose the tasting. The little girl had penne al ragu which we specifically asked for overcooked because otherwise she wouldn't eat it. They arrived much later and still al dente (and too salty for a 2 year old so she didn't eat). The first arrived after 40 minutes of the starter, the second after almost 1 hour of the first. Everything was too salty, the risotto that wasn't a risotto, carbonara that wasn't carbonara. The owner was the waitress and cashier, alone, many tables were raised. The seated family was the first to eat and arrived last, however other tables who arrived earlier when we left at 3pm were still waiting from 1.30pm. I'm sorry but I wouldn't recommend.

13/08/2024: The food is good, the place is nice and it's easy to reach and park... and that alone would be enough. Unfortunately, however, if you find the room full it may take them a while to serve you and the waiters often don't speak Italian.

18/12/2024: Typical Tuscan Trattoria, very nice both outside and inside, they have a very interesting and non-touristy menu. Excellent soups, platters and their focaccias. All the staff were very nice. Good value for money. Advised !!

05/12/2024: We appreciate the fact that it was reopened after so many years... The owner puts a lot of will into it. The business lunches are good... the cuisine needs to be improved perhaps with some slightly more refined dishes.

The work menu was a very pleasant discovery: simple dishes, but prepared with care and fresh ingredients, which immediately won us over. The next time we wanted to try the mixed fry, a true masterpiece of flavours! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, it was love at first bite. The environment is characterized by a slightly rustic style, which took us back in time. The staff is kind and attentive, always ready to satisfy our every request. Another plus point is certainly the location: the restaurant is located on a main road, but it is far from the chaos of traffic and has a large car park. Furthermore, it is easily accessible even for those with walking difficulties. In conclusion, "Il Covo della Pollastra" is a place that I highly recommend to all those looking for an authentic and genuine culinary experience, without spending a fortune.

06/12/2024: All more than positive...characteristic and unique environment, a former convent used as a venue...dinner in a former church has never happened to me which makes everything very suggestive. Excellent pizza with light and at the same time crunchy dough. We also enjoyed the sweet pizza...same dough garnished with truly sublime caramel and cream. I recommend it 100%

09/11/2024: You are surrounded by a special atmosphere upon entering, because you find yourself in what was once the apse of an ancient convent, with a remarkable fresco on the vault. Once at the table you can admire on the walls the photos of all the artists who have crossed the threshold of the Petrella theater at all times, a small wedding favor famous throughout the world. But let's go back to the excellent pizza, with a truly delicious taste and the hamburger specialities. Thanks to the managers who received recognition in October for their 30 years of activity. Absolutely worth trying.

27/08/2024: Small but very nice place, excellent quality food, portions a little small. The only flaw was the service, which was sometimes kind and sometimes rude. Furthermore, the photos of the menu online do not reflect the current menu, some of the dishes were not present. Despite this, I recommend it for the quality and the possibility of finding vegetarian dishes. Pad Thai recommended!

27/08/2024: Locale piccolo ma molto carino, cibo ottimo e di qualità, le porzioni un po' piccole. Unica pecca è stato il servizio, poiché a tratti gentile e a tratti scortese. Inoltre il menù online non rispecchia il menù attuale, alcuni dei piatti non erano presenti. Nonostante questo lo consiglio per la qualità e la possibilità di trovare piatti vegetariani. Consiglio il Pad Thai!
