13/09/2025: Excellent food! Passion and dedication, a beautiful welcoming smile, and the evening was perfect! The wild boar was so tender. The gnocchi were mouth-watering. We would have gladly returned to try the rest, but we only had two days. The cheesecake dessert was such a spectacle that I forgot about the photo... it was already finished.

02/05/2025: Posto rustico e intimo.Personale che tiene cura al cliente.Cucina...davvero buona dall' antipasto al dolce.Carne di ottima qualità.Titolare simpaticissimo,insomma,un posto a conduzione famigliare e si percepisce dall'ambiente alla cucina.Consigliatissimo.

We ordered three dishes from the menu, and they weren't there. After finishing our dishes, we had to get up to ask for dessert and the bill because, in both cases, no one was coming.
It's a shame because from the little we spoke to the waitress, she seemed very nice and helpful. Plus, the food was good... so I'd like to go back, hoping for better service.
11/08/2025: I'm giving them one star because they won't let me give them a 0. ARROGANT AND UNCARING.
We're on vacation, and four of us stopped for lunch. We had a fried dish that was okay, but then nothing happened. They had asked for three spaghetti allo scoglio (seafood spaghetti) and another first course with zucchini and shrimp, and they arrived after a good hour despite several complaints. The first thing to note is that the restaurant wasn't busy because it was a Monday. These famous first courses arrived and were full of oil... and finally the inedible second courses, their "signature dish" (hot seafood). In fact, we left all the second courses there... At the checkout, the cashier, or owner—I don't even know what to call her—said, "Hey, I know, we made you wait a bit. Let's make things right, we'll save ten euros." However, we didn't touch anything because it was INEDIBLE. NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN, WASTED MONEY AND TIME.

15/08/2025: We've been coming to this place for many years. It's a historic pizza spot in Lucca. A family atmosphere welcomes customers and makes them feel at home. The pizza is excellent; I love Calogero's pita bread, which I think is the best. They also have a good selection of beers and desserts; the croccantino is a classic. The place also offers outdoor seating under a pergola overlooking a fully enclosed and well-kept garden, where children can play safely in a small playground.

11/09/2025: Terrible experience! Upon arrival, the view of the place was quite sad, more like a view of garbage bins than a sea view... hmmm... Zero welcome, absolutely unprofessional and uncaring staff (especially given the few customers present). We ordered a glass of champagne and, in addition to taking the glass back from the kitchen, we noticed that it tasted bad and there wasn't even a single bubble. We asked for an explanation and they brought the almost empty bottle to us, telling us that "it must be because it's only been open a few days, but it's champagne"... oh god!!!!!!! 😲🙈🫣 (Meanwhile, they were charging us for the 10 euro glass!). We settled for a prosecco, but history repeats itself and we decide not to argue. The food was mediocre. We went for a barrel-aged grappa to digest the excessive heaviness of the mixed fried food, but we received a white grappa from the supermarket. No apology for what happened, and the price was steep compared to the quality and quantity. A sad experience. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The service is swift, attentive, yet pleasantly unobtrusive: no false pathos, just genuine professionalism. The wine list is a recurring theme through Italy's landscapes, from north to south, allowing travelers to traverse the country in a glass. The traditional Piedmontese dishes were particularly appealing—hearty, down-to-earth, and full of character. In short, a place one would happily recommend.
