03/09/2025: The most delicious steak I have ever tried in my life. It is very delicious. The seating and general atmosphere are wonderful. Try the roasted potatoes and caramelized onions as a side dish. It is very delicious.
03/09/2025: Spectacular Carbedi wagyu, even well-aged Fassona tartare melted in the mouth, the only flaw was the champagne and strawberry risotto which totally clashed with everything else, a poorly made dish and the choice to combine these ingredients in my opinion is wrong.

01/11/2025: Very nice place decorated in a maritime style with large tables and comfortable chairs.
The sushi was average, good enough but nothing exceptional. Compared to other restaurants, there was a limited selection of nigiri and rolls. Unfortunately, I had a bone in my salmon sashimi, but overall, the sashimi was very soft.
The waiters were polite and friendly.
A flaw? While waiting for our food, I once saw a chef putting his hands in his mouth to eat some rice while he was preparing rolls (hopefully not mine). It wasn't very pleasant.
22/09/2025: Very pleasant and refined atmosphere, fast and friendly service, and decent food.
The grilled ravioli were very good.
The price was definitely reasonable, highly recommended!

06/10/2025: A rustic, informal place with excellent food and traditional Lucchese and Tuscan dishes. Located in the heart of Lucca, just steps from Piazza San Michele, generous portions, friendly staff, and attention to detail. I highly recommend trying it!

10/01/2026: Bar Irene is now an institution, and they know how to do it. There are only two problems: 1) the indoor space is practically nonexistent, so there's only outdoor space.
2) people smoke outside, regardless of whether someone is still eating at the next table. If good manners aren't present (i.e., getting up and moving away from the tables), the manager should intervene and allow smoking either outside or on the outdoor terrace. This is the only really annoying thing.
02/01/2026: The staff is incredibly friendly. The location is interesting, right in front of the old market. The music is top-notch. The pastries, appetizers, and coffee are excellent. Everything feels like a harmonious blend of vital elements.

25/02/2026: The products served are definitely fresh and high-quality.
We had paccheri with squid, clams, and bottarga...everything was delicious, it's a shame they couldn't bring it all together.
The tuna was excellent, the octopus was excellent, and the fried food was average.
Excellent service, friendly and attentive staff.
They accept dogs without a problem and will immediately provide you with a bowl of water for your furry friends.
The only bathroom (at least the one marked as the restroom) is inaccessible to the disabled. They probably have a dedicated one, at least I hope so.
03/01/2026: Attracted by the name and our hunger, we stumbled upon a classy restaurant, with friendly, attentive, and professional staff who welcomed us warmly as if we were regulars. The food was excellent, with generous portions from appetizer to dessert. The menu is exclusively fish-based. A recommended stop. It's located in a quiet area of Viareggio, away from the crowds, yet still facing the sea, opposite the beach clubs.

14/11/2025: The coffee is average, but Samuele's aperitivo is where he really excels. The sbagliato is spot on, and the pizzas are very good. As for the restaurant, I'll give it a review when I get there. Good ones anyway.

We truly enjoyed our time here the food was flavorful, the drinks were great, and the whole vibe of the place made it one of the highlights of our visit to Lucca. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fun night out with great food and good energy!

23/10/2025: I went there today because I'd seen a line outside during lunchtime over the summer.
I knew exactly what to expect.
A step back in time to Italy 30 years ago.
Authentic flavors, customers of all types, and lightning-fast service.
Truly ridiculously priced.
More than a lunch break, it's an experience, as they say these days.
Definitely worth a try.
11/10/2025: Delicious and authentic local spot with incredible value. €10 for primi, secondi and side with water and coffee. I had their Maccheroni al ragu, Stinco (pork shank) and beans. Obviously a local untouristy spot with the handwritten menus but easy enough to work out and definitely worth a visit
