16/08/2025: The hotel is a little old in terms of furnishings but it is clean and the service is excellent. We had a good time in the restaurant with typical and very good dishes. The service is excellent.

26/07/2025: Everything was excellent! Spaghetti allo scoglio, trofie of the day, ravioli with shrimp and pistachios, fried seafood, and desserts. I especially recommend the ravioli and the truly special fried seafood! Prices in Barga are higher than in other Garfagnana towns, but a stop at the Giro di Boa is worth it. Outdoor location, but on a quiet street.

05/11/2025: My wife and I were there in October on a summer evening. The location was beautiful, the atmosphere was family-friendly, the staff were friendly and professional, and the food was excellent, with generous portions. The owner was also very kind and professional, personally coming to our table twice during the evening to make sure everything was fine. We loved everything we tried, especially the spadellata. The quality/price ratio was excellent. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

30/08/2025: Recommended by friends for the first time we had the meat a nice steak in the fillet, the butcher of few words but very courteous brought it home cooked a special flavor very tender and tasty we will definitely be back

26/08/2025: The restaurant is truly a local landmark! Ample and convenient parking makes it perfect for stopping by at any time of day. Excellent breakfasts in the morning, and carefully prepared and tasty dishes for lunch and dinner, not to mention the truly delicious pizza. It's also ideal for an aperitif with friends. In addition to the restaurant, it also offers a tobacconist, a market, and a gas station: a complete and welcoming place where you can always find what you need. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!

01/09/2025: A bar where you can grab a coffee as early as 6 a.m., it's already open, and except for Mondays, when it's closed, it's always open on Christmas Day, January 1st, and any holiday. For me, who wakes up early for work, that's a great thing. The owner and staff are always very kind, the management is family-friendly, and the atmosphere is bright and clean.

21/08/2025: We went last night, and I must say the experience far exceeded my expectations. The tagliatelle al ragù was simply extraordinary: perfectly cooked pasta and topped with a rich, flavorful ragù. The pork shank with potatoes was truly a surprise: incredibly tender and beautifully seasoned. The service also deserves special mention: the waiters were always attentive and helpful. The wine list is also noteworthy, very extensive and featuring select labels that pair perfectly with the dishes. The warm and welcoming atmosphere made everything even more enjoyable. It's definitely a place we'll happily return to.

03/08/2025: The pizza? Absolutely disgusting!!! We went based on the reviews: the best pizza in Viareggio, the meat reigns supreme...what the heck?! People just don't understand anything. And the steak? First of all, they show it to you raw, and they don't serve it pre-sliced; it looked like it was made. Terrible service; the waiter doesn't greet you, throws the menus at the table, and it takes forever to eat. The place is awful; it was incredibly hot, they didn't turn on the air conditioning, the beer arrived warm, the table wobbled... terrible experience.

14/09/2025: We were on our way to our accommodation and wanted to grab a bite to eat. We didn't want to stop on a main road, so we decided on this pizzeria on the spur of the moment. And it was a great decision. The food was excellent. We had two antipasti (bruschetta and fried porcini mushrooms) and two primi. The porcini mushrooms were amazing, and the bruschetta was also very tasty. It's true, the menu is handwritten. It's kind of quaint. And in a place like this, you can really taste the freshly prepared home-style cooking. The main courses were also great. I had the macceroni with duck ragu. Truly excellent. We received very friendly service and were able to communicate well despite our lack of Italian. I highly recommend this pizzeria. You can't go wrong here.

10/11/2025: Eight friends. We found this recommendation in an old Lonely Planet guide. We reached the trattoria, which is located in a remote area in the municipality of Castelnuovo di Garfagnana. We arrived on a Saturday in November and discovered we were the only customers. We entered a little wary, but quickly changed our minds. The atmosphere is exquisite, and the dining experience is excellent. The appetizers are flawless (salted tongue with giardiniera, a platter of crostini and cured meats, hand-sliced ​​Bazzone prosciutto). Among the first courses, we couldn't forget the perfect tagliolini with truffles and the homemade tortelli with ragù. The braised cheek also deserves pride of place. What more can we say? A must-try for anyone visiting Garfagnana.

16/06/2025: Very tasty pizza and pinsa with a wide variety of options. The portions are very generous, but you can easily take leftovers home. The atmosphere is typically Italian, but the restaurant is relatively quiet. We'll definitely be back again during our vacation.

02/11/2025: We walked in at 7pm with no reservation. The friendly staff quickly sprung into action making a table for my family of 4. The food was amazing, fresh seafood pasta, fresh vegetables and a lovely atmosphere in front of the fire. Well worth a visit.
