13/07/2025: I was a guest at a wedding dinner. The venue was simple but well-kept, with a beautiful garden and pool outside. Parking was easy, the food was clean, and the service was friendly. I ate really well, with prompt and adequate service. I can't comment on the price because I was a guest.

01/07/2025: As a pilgrim on the Via Francigena, I spent two unforgettable days here. An incredible welcome. Because of the heat, I left Massa very early and arrived around 9 a.m. I was able to have breakfast instead of the one I didn't have on the day of departure. Afterwards, I was able to enjoy my room with a breathtaking view and the magnificent pool for two days. The breakfast buffet and the meals are excellent, and Madame takes great care of her guests. I can only recommend this place where the customer is still king.

30/06/2025: I believe that in Montecastrilli, where I have been "hanging out" for over 50 years from the nearby Farnetta, there has never been such a good pastry shop, especially the pastries with cream, the profiteroles, the babà, the meringues. Perhaps the tarts could be improved a little. In general, however, everything is very good, the staff is very very kind and friendly, really to keep in mind, excellent prices, but they have increased a little recently. If I may give you some advice, keep the prices low and you will have a large and enthusiastic clientele. Well done and thank you

16/06/2025: Very tasty pizza and pinsa with a wide variety of options. The portions are very generous, but you can easily take leftovers home. The atmosphere is typically Italian, but the restaurant is relatively quiet. We'll definitely be back again during our vacation.

07/08/2025: We had a great evening! We sat in the beautiful courtyard/barn, and the food was excellent. We had local tortelli, linguine(zucchini and lemon), milanese. For dessert tiramisu and strudel — everything tasted delicious. Definitely recommend. The menu was handwritten in Italian, but the waiter offered to translate it for us. He was a bit grumpy but also kind of funny — we couldn’t quite tell if he liked having us there or was relieved when we left! :)

30/07/2025: 6 of us had dinner last Friday, 25 July. Unfortunately, right from our arrival the owner's attitude came across as supercilious and arrogant, creating the distinct impression that we were imposing on his evening, despite our having booked our table days in advance. The wait between our starter and main courses was excessive, and even when the main courses did belatedly arrive, one of our party was offered, in succession, 3 dishes which had not been ordered and ultimately resulting in his canceling his main course order so that the remaining 5 members could eat without having to wait for his dish to arrive. At no time was there any acknowledgment by the owner of the error, apology provided or attempt made to rectify the issue. Our entire party opted to skip dessert because the evening's ambience had been tarnished by the owner's tone-deaf approach throughout the evening. The food and setting were actually fine, making the owner's contemptuous approach all the more disappointing. I've never written a restaurant review before but feel compelled to in this case given how badly we were treated - such a shame, but here's hoping this review helps to improve the service for other guests in the future.

21/07/2025: Excellent food, delicious recipes with unusual creations. Very good value for money. I highly recommend it.

20/07/2025: The cuisine is truly excellent; the way they prepare fish all'isolana is superior to the average in Versilia, even in higher-end restaurants. The vegetables that accompany the fish are perfect. The staff has a rare delicacy in a tourist area where, unfortunately, everything is almost industrially produced.

08/07/2025: We had dinner with four adults and two children. Average-good appetizers, good fish pasta. Disappointing fried food, quite greasy. Negative note: we asked for a plate of pasta to share for the two children, asking for small portions. Result: €32 for a plate of pasta all'olio and a plate of pasta with very salty ragù. Good dessert. Price €180 for half a bottle of wine, three appetizers, three fish first courses, the two children's pasta dishes, a fried food and two desserts (all in all acceptable)

15/08/2025: If you are in the Massarosa area, the Donatella Restaurant is a guarantee, spaghetti with clams as it should be, excellent paccheri with seafood sauce, then Donatella is Miss Congeniality

22/07/2025: During a short vacation in Pietrasanta, I stumbled upon this gelateria and tried their gluten-free gelato. It was truly amazing: creamy, intensely flavored, and perfectly balanced. The care and craftsmanship that goes into its preparation are evident. The only downside? The price is a little above average... but considering the quality and attention to dietary needs, it's understandable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a gluten-free option without sacrificing flavor!

13/08/2025: Very very slow service. I got there at 7:30 and a simple pasta arrive 1h 15 mins later with a green salad. I mean don’t even want to talk about the unfriendly service. I much preferred Osteria Dritta right across. Being a server is a profession, they clearly don’t know how to host & serve.

02/09/2025: An oasis of peace with a stunning view of the sea and the plains in front of it! We were having a wonderful hike and unexpectedly stumbled upon this bar. The owner is Dutch, and the staff also came from there, speaking fluent English and Italian. It's ideal for a drink or a coffee during the hike and relaxing. The cook wasn't there in the afternoon, so we only had a Tuscan appetizer platter to satisfy our hunger. But it was absolutely fantastic!

25/06/2025: A must stop when I go out on my bike and climb the Gombitelli climb. I found another person behind the counter, perhaps management changed, but the service was good. Good coffee, sweet piece reheated on the spot (frozen pastry).
