15/06/2025: Scandalous is an understatement! €350 for a wedding cake for 60 people. And then to say cake is an understatement since it was just a shortcrust pastry base with a finger of cream and pineapple rolled on top with the peel among other things. We were forced by the location to order the cake from you but it will not happen again, it was a real theft! Otherwise we would have chosen another pastry shop, but we said "let's hope for quality", we were not disappointed, more!. I repeat three hundred and fifty euros for a wedding cake! Truly scandalous

11/05/2025: The pizzeria is located outside the centre, in the evening there are no problems with parking, it is also available for takeaway. There are few seats inside so it is advisable to book, outside there is a terrace with other tables. Being a Sicilian pizzeria it is possible to find typical specialties such as arancine or cannoli. We started with arancini with various fillings, followed by an excellent pizza, not very deep but crunchy and with an excellent filling, the one with pesto was fabulous. For dessert we couldn't help but try the excellent Sicilian cannoli. The prices are excellent, we spent less than €40 on two drinks and coffee included. We will be back.

03/06/2025: I stayed here for 7 days in May for a conference and overall had a good experience. Our room had a great view of the mountains and the bed was very comfortable, although everything in the hotel seemed a bit dated. They cleaned the room each day and we did room service twice and it was prompt and tasty. My husband ate at the restaurant for all meals (really the only food options are the ones on property) and said it was good. The views are amazing! It is very secluded - to get to Lucca it is 100 euro taxi (one way) and to get to Barga it is a 40 euro taxi. We just enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pools and then did a bit of walking around the hotel which is very nice but up a giant hill. We also walked to a nice winery that was about a mile away in a small town. The service was excellent at the bar and the front desk- they helped us call taxis when we needed them. Our biggest downside was our shower was either burning hot or freezing cold and the water was basically a trickle.

25/05/2025: Our stay at the Renaissance was, for the most part, excellent! Honestly what made a huge difference in our stay, was the Navigator Concierge Manuel, he is awesome, and deserves a raise. Manuel if you're reading this, great job, we'll miss you!! He organized taxis for us, moved existing reservations, and made us feel extremely welcomed. The only negative things we experienced were, the spa and food, we were not prepared for the massage we received, it was way too intimate, and even after my wife and I told the masseuse that we were uncomfortable, they continued to touch us in very intimate places. So prepare yourself if you're not familiar with this style of massage. The food, was shockingly Americanized, and I was surprised that it wasn't higher quality, especially with the town of Barga close by, where we had amazing meals, at restaurants suggested by Manuel. Otherwise, the room, location, and service was exceptional.

22/02/2025: Il locale perfetto, dal cibo di qualità al personale simpatico e accogliente! Posto che ricorda la lontana madre patria Livorno e la nuova e rivoluzionaria Messina. Clima top con un mix letale di mare e lago. Acqua dolce e acqua salta, Mina e Celentano…passate al più presto da questo posto, voto diesci! Meriterebbe la stella michelin

10/01/2025: Se encontró con este restaurante cerca de la cabina telefónica roja y la bandera escocesa en la entrada de la ciudad, sobre todo porque ningún otro lugar estaba abierto hoy. Mi plato de risotto de mariscos era fabuloso, el servicio era relajado y amable y un ambiente encantador. Muy recomendable.

17/05/2025: Huge burgers! First time ever I had to eat a burger with a fork and knife. Great flavor and well-prepared. If you’re looking for a break from pizza and pasta, this would be a good choice in Lucca.

15/05/2025: I always enjoy this place, so take my review with a grain of salt. Their menu is small and refined, focusing very well on a few key items. The burgers are good, the marinated veggies are great, but their hot dog is the real star.

17/06/2025: We love to stop at this fabulous restaurant for lunch. The typical tuscan food is amazing! Simple recipes executed to perfection. They also serve an amazing steak. They are kind, courteous and friendly. A very pleasurable dining experience.

28/05/2025: As someone who has probably eaten 200 to 300 pizzas in their life, I can say with certainty: Tonight's pizza was absolutely amazing! It's definitely one of my top three all-time favorites. Not only was the food outstanding, the service was also incredibly attentive and friendly. Both the appetizer and dessert were absolutely top-notch. An all-around perfect culinary experience! I'll definitely be back.
