22/06/2025: La nostra cena al Porto Bello è stata un momento memorabile del nostro viaggio a Salina. Il ristorante si trova in una posizione ideale con una vista spettacolare sulla baia. La qualità del cibo è eccezionale: ogni piatto è preparato con ingredienti freschi e locali. Il crudo misto di cernia, gamberi e ricciola era vario e squisito, gli spaghetti al fuoco erano cotti al dente alla perfezione e con un sapore che ti fa venire voglia di tornare solo per assaggiarli di nuovo. Il personale è cordiale e professionale e sa come far sentire speciale ogni cliente. I prezzi sono assolutamente onesti per la qualità offerta.

21/06/2025: Il mio piatto preferito qui sono stati gli spaghetti, arricchiti dal sapore di una perfetta quantità di pepe, olive nere e formaggio. Il personale è stato accogliente e apprezzo molto il servizio attento.

03/05/2025: Very disappointing experience. I went to the "Chiosco dei Colli" on May 1st for a picnic with friends. The place is nice, with wooden tables and seats, but for 23 euros I was served a miserable menu (the mixed grill consisted of a small knot of sausage each and a skewer of chops...) The most unpleasant thing, however, is that, despite having paid and consumed there, I was denied the possibility of using a bathroom for the child, with the excuse that "they don't have it anymore". I find it absurd that an establishment that serves food on site does not provide a toilet, as required by law. I will not return and do not recommend it, especially to families or people with healthcare needs.

06/04/2025: Very bad. Unjustifiably expensive. To be avoided. Supplement of €1 for the choice of having the dish on the plate (plastic) to be added to €8.50 for 4 cutlets and 2 lettuce leaves. I leave aside the quality of the poor chops in terms of quality and quantity. Very disappointed. I'm sorry because I respect other people's work.

23/08/2025: Here's the deal. 7:00 PM. We arrive and find a tall waiter who, without offense, we could describe as apathetic and expressionless. We ask: can we sit down for a drink? He looks around and points to a table: in a moment his colleague cleans the table. Maybe we should also pass her a cloth because there was something spilled on the table.... Beyond him are two other girls, one with her arms folded and the other—well, not even those. I imagine the owner is happy to pay them for this. We wait, then wait some more, then leave. And at the lido next door, two proseccos served by the sea in three minutes and lots of smiles. Terrible service is an understatement. Not recommended.

22/08/2025: The place is worth it, it is definitely worth a visit, staying there gives you the impression of being in a magical place immersed in canals and boats, even if some areas are a bit shabby.

02/09/2025: The lady at the counter was disarmingly rude and impolite. The granita was nothing special, but I understand that the woman at the counter could have had a bad day... but with that attitude, she's making it bad for everyone else, too! Change jobs, it's not the right fit for you.

08/10/2025: We did the all you can eat, and we ate more or less all we could. The sushi was great, other selections of meat not so much. Overall a fine value for the money. Before we left we asked for a cup of hot water. The owner refused to engage with me and instead ushered over the timid young server to assist. She produced a bottle of water to sell us to which we refused, simply wanting a cup of hot water. The server then looked to the owner for guidance in this dark sea of uncertainty and found the answer betwixt indecipherable shouts. She regrettably informed us that they had in fact run out of or refused to provide us hot water. What a pity that such an otherwise instagrammable restaurant should fall prey to the scarcity of so basic a cooking component.

27/04/2025: It has changed management (now from Orientals) and name. Lapsed in quality and service and prices higher than average.

05/09/2025: We found ourselves there by chance. We were starving when we got off the ferry, so we simply ordered some hot food, and it was delicious. The atmosphere is clean, and the staff are very friendly. They also serve first and second courses, and we noticed a lot of people were ordering those, so everything is sure to be delicious. If we return to the area, it will definitely be a stop for us. Recommended.

24/08/2025: Excellent cafe and snack bar We were passing through and had a snack before boarding. Everything was excellent, unfortunately, I wasn't able to take any more photos because the family members wolfed it all down. We had caponata, arancini, lasagna, and a plate of octopus, potatoes, and green beans, which was very good and fresh. I recommend it if you're looking for a cafe on a Sunday.

20/07/2025: It will probably be good to eat!? We haven't had the chance to evaluate it!!! 😥 after having immediately placed an order, after about 45" we were informed that the order had not been sent to the kitchen 🥴 and it would no longer be possible due to the time, to prepare it... So we opted for another order, which we reluctantly did by halving the courses, only to be told again that this one too would take too long... To accommodate us, they could have made us something quick on the grill 🥴. It's really true that there is always something to learn, in all the years that I have been going to restaurants, this is the first and only time that it has happened to me. 😥

05/05/2025: Even though it has been around for decades, it was the first time I set foot there. The restaurant is spread over two floors. Rooms not very large but welcoming. The waitresses (all women) are friendly and efficient. I ate well. Advised!

29/08/2025: Excellent products... only the packaging for transport leaves a little to be desired... they usually give me ricotta in refrigerated containers and chopped pistachios and powdered sugar separately... in small plastic containers... otherwise everything is delicious.

29/08/2025: I've been going there for a while now, and I stock up on brioche and marzipan every year when I return to Puglia. Highly recommended for its quality, price, and selection.
