17/05/2024: Take away with deception... I often ordered two take away Cantonese rice for my children... but the last time I did it it didn't go well because inside the package there were maybe two spoons of rice per package! Angry and disappointed, I will have to use myself elsewhere, perhaps the old management was managed better.

03/08/2024: Congratulations to Francesco who manages this historic bar, personally preparing his wonderful Messina granitas! The brioches with tuppo are among the best you've ever eaten. If you're in the area, stop by for an excellent breakfast or a tasty snack, possibility of consuming both inside and outside the bar, with a decent selection of quality wines, staff courteous and fast service, must try! Also available for catering.

03/06/2024: Clean and well-stocked bar, I have always only had coffee and cappuccinos but the products on display look excellent. Staff always friendly and quick in service

I book a table outside, we arrive on time... after 30 minutes they take the lead... to drink after another 15 minutes... a single waiter who manages the (full) mediocre fried joint outside... mediocre pizzas, poor food and portions. From 9pm we got up to around 11.30pm the only thing that was on average fast was the bill which in my opinion was a little high. I don't know if I will return but certainly not on a Saturday. It's a shame, the place is nice but it couldn't manage... I can't imagine the delivery.

31/08/2024: No no and no, we are not fish lovers but given the reviews we tried, nothing fresh or memorable. Mussels that tasted like burnt garlic and canned appetizers. Absurd account!

28/08/2024: Disappointing experience. Apart from the friendly and helpful staff, the ambience is a bit outdated and the cuisine is really substandard. Considering the fact that we are in Ganzirri, the mussels were really mediocre: drenched in oil and with a strong burnt garlic flavour. Stale starter and second courses without infamy and without praise. Stay away from the house sparkling wine. Bill not adequate for the quality of food served.

18/07/2023: Place located inside a petrol station on the SS113 in Giammoro. Trattoria dishes, all very good, generous portions, Thursday and Friday there are also cod and stockfish made in various ways, really good. If you are on state road 113 and want to have a good lunch with your legs under the table, without eating the usual sandwich or the usual rustic food, this is the place for you. Absolutely modest prices. For example, if I eat a second course, side dish, fruit and mineral water and coffee, I can manage for €13-15.

01/06/2024: The venue is very beautiful. The prices charged are excellent. If you like pizza as thin as a piadina, go there.... bring a pocket lamp because the light is soft and you will hear people say "try it, I'll see how the floor lamp works!"🤣🤣🤣

10/02/2024: On the evening of August 20, 2023, on holiday with my wife (she from Monza and I of foreign origin), we were looking for a restaurant or pizzeria along the S.S. 116 between Ucria and Naso. In two other long holidays we tried the restaurants from Floresta up to Brolo and those around Ucria. That evening we decided to go along the S.S. 116 towards Naso. We found the Rosso di Sera Pizzeria Restaurant in Castell'Umberto. I still remember the hastily set table in the backyard..!! ☺️🤗 It was just us in the backyard. 👍☺️ Excellent food, attentive service and fair price. Maybe (we don't know yet..) we'll go to the area again this year.. 😉 Kind regards!

07/07/2024: What a shame! Almost perfect food. However, very poor service. Let’s start with the positive. Amazing linguine with truffles and red shrimps. Cooked to perfection with first class quality ingredients. Very good tuna antipasto. Also, very good panko fried tuna main. Good primo with mussels. The sea bass baked in a salt crust was the only disappointment. Apparently the chef did not master this classic Italian cooking technique. If you do, you should be able to cook the sea bass to perfection without transmitting salt from the crust to the fish meat. Furthermore, the technique is famous for preventing the fish from loosing water during the cooking process and preventing it from becoming dry. It’s a shame that the chef for the night managed to achieve a salty and dry sea bass. If you read this you may think it is a review from a grumpy guest. But given that the price of the fish was 120 Euro for two people, you may reconsider and understand that it is a reasonable expectation. Hire a capable chef or remove the fish from the menu! The sommelier was unfortunately focussed on selling expensive wine, as opposed to pairing it with the ordered food. Now to the really disappointing stuff. Very poor coordination between staff. No one (successfully) directing and coordinating the service. Entrees served with 5 minute time gaps! Mains with even longer gaps. Amazingly two guests that ordered the same main got it with a +5 minute time gap!! No one took away empty bottles and plates from an over full table. No one asked if we wanted to order more water. The list goes on and on. One waiter started presenting a complementary small dish at the same time as the sommelier was in conversation with one of the guests. Impossible to follow them both at the same time. So, to summarize, this is a great shame. The ambience is nice. The food is great (except the sea bass). But the service is a disaster. A bunch of loose cannons blind to the sum of their collective efforts. And at the price point and ambition level in question, it is a huge disappointment and unacceptable. I would recommend you to think twice before going.

06/07/2024: Per il secondo anno di seguito ho cenato per due sere consecutive in questo ristorante. Riconfermo gran parte del mio giudizio positivo sui piatti e locale in generale. Quest'anno sono costretto ad abbassare il voto complessivo a causa dei tempi lunghi tra le varie portate in occasione della seconda serata. Ho visto diversi commensali visibilmente infastiditi richiedere spiegazioni. Spero sia stato un evento casuale perché nel complesso resta un ristorante di livello.

06/08/2024: One of the oldest places in Messina. Famous for its unique pidones. And then you find something that others don't have...foams, for example. Nobody makes them, or they make them on request, they always have them.

21/07/2024: Location and well air conditioned, friendly and helpful staff... really excellent value for money and on the menu to say the least you are truly spoiled for choice... I complimented you and will definitely return!!

25/08/2024: Very nice family hotel, rooms are clean, rooms made up every day. Breakfast is good, everything you need for breakfast is available. Cross the street and you are on the beach. Only parking is a problem, but just search, be patient and drive around a few times and you can find it in the street. Parking. Rent a car through the hotel, top service without credit card, just paid in cash, they only ask for your credit card number if you receive a report, which they can send there, otherwise the car is fully 100% covered against damage

26/08/2024: Bar equipped with large rooms overlooking the national road and the seafront. Mediocre service. Although it is said to be the only pastry shop in the area, you can only find biscuits. They have a refrigerated counter with a display of their ice cream cakes. At first sight they look like they were made by a beginner I couldn't say about the taste though. Prices are normal for the tourist location. Staff already tired at 9m00 in the morning
