10/11/2024: Excellent 1 night stay with welcome drink and breakfast. The elegant structure that recalls the style of the Sicilian tradition, the staff are courteous, kind and available at any time. I recommend trying the restaurant next door affiliated with the hotel.

24/02/2025: Buono Trovato per caso grazie ad un passante a Milazzo al quale ho chiesto dove si potesse mangiare Paghi 43 euro e mangi un menù di pesce discreto ... Ovviamente nn si può pretendere niente di più a questo prezzo ... Ci ritornerò

04/01/2025: Fort Apache per noi è una garanzia. Ci torniamo ogni anno durante la nostra permanenza in Sicilia. Stavolta abbiamo preso il menù di pesce con antipasti e primi. Porzioni abbondanti e rapporto qualità/prezzo insuperabile.

03/10/2024: Kiosk on the sea with breathtaking views of the strait and the pylon. Sandwiches with fish, meat or vegetables freshly made on the griddle are good and tasty, alternatively there are also dishes. I recommend the sandwich with swordfish or prawns. There is no table service. When your dishes are ready they call you.

02/09/2024: Excellent and plentiful, I've said it all!!👍👍for everything and even more I recommend you go there in the evening from 11pm onwards when you can taste the croissants and Nutella donuts, freshly baked, a real pleasure, highly recommended.

03/08/2024: Within 2 years the price of the donut doubled and the size of the donut was halved. Always good for goodness sake and I also understand the price increase but the size of the donut is decidedly smaller. Once upon a time you could finish it with difficulty, now it's absolutely not comparable to what it used to be. Sin

28/09/2024: Pasé aquí para cenar mientras estaba en Taormina. Este lugar estaba cerca de nuestro hotel. Pedí una ensalada que era muy sabrosa y mi marido pidió una pizza de tomate y queso. Bueno, el queso era tan abundante que literalmente tuvo que rasparlo de la pizza y ponerlo a un lado! Pensamos que Italia era conocida por su pizza. Quizá no tanto.

06/09/2024: What can I say, a transcendental experience. On holiday in Montalbano Elicona we decided (months ago) to try this place, given the breathtaking photos and positive reviews. Today, Friday 6 September (so not an anonymous Monday in February) we take the car and leave for the restaurant, which obviously appears open on Google with its twinkling stars that already make us foretaste the delicacies seen in the photos. After a HORRIBLE road completely in the dark, lost in the countryside and so bumpy that it forced us to travel at 5km/h (all for a good ten minutes), once we reached our destination we discovered that, contrary to what was reported on Google, the place was closed. The number found on Google (a cell phone) turned off. We were forced to travel the entire country road looking for a place to turn the car, and return to Montalbano Elicona where, surprise surprise, the places marked as "Open" were actually open. In 2024, driving roads like this in the dark without even having the decency to update the opening and closing times should be illegal. What can I say, thanks for nothing and never again

28/07/2024: Questa è la terza volta che tento di prenotare in questo ristorante dove alcuni amici mi hanno detto che si mangia molto bene ma purtroppo con i due numeri di recapito telefonico uno è perennemente staccato e all’altro non risponde nessuno Sul sito risulta aperto Recensione negativa perché in un ristorante e’ importante anche la comunicazione Spero qualche volta di poter venire e magari cambiare la recensione in positivo

08/03/2025: Prima ancora di soffermarmi sul cibo ciò che maggiormente colpisce è la cordialità con cui si viene accolti. Ho prenotato un tavolo per 19 persone, tutti adulti l'unico piccolo era mio figlio di 9 anni, in occasione del compleanno di mia mamma. È una scommessa ogni volta riunirci per festeggiare un'occasione speciale perché, non tutti i locali sanno organizzarsi. Al Pappamondo siamo stati sistemati perfettamente, senza essere d'intralcio a loro che lavorano né ad altri clienti. Abbiamo scelto il giro pizza base da €13 e una consumazione extra giro pizza per questioni di intolleranze, riuscendo a cenare tutti insieme, la varietà delle pizze proposte è stata eccellente, l'impasto è pazzesco, le pizze grandi e ben condite, tutto davvero perfetto. Il locale era pieno e la serata è stata comunque ben gestita, essendo un tavolo così numeroso ritengo che il servizio è stato comunque eccellente. 18/01/2025: Staff lento, mangiare freddo, rapporto qualità prezzo pessimo, abbiamo ordinato l’antipasto e dopo 50 minuti sono arrivati i piatti dopo aver chiesto ai camerieri a che punto fossero. Tutto pessimo

19/12/2024: Stopped for lunch on a busy afternoon and we were shown to a nice table out front. We had a very attentive waiter and thought the food was tasty and fairly priced. Very good house wine served in mid sized pitchers.

28/11/2024: At first it looks like the perfect place, it was full with people (i think because was raining) so we thought to give it a try. We quickly set down and short after we got our order picked. Now the fun goes down the drain, we ordered two glasses of wine - they brought one, took ages to bring the second one. Was hard to get someone’s attention, there were two waiters and the third one that seemed to be the manager, and all of them seemed to be very busy by managing all the tables all three of them at ones. We had a table near the kitchen and could see and hear chefs frustration by having food on the pas waiting too long. We got the starters very late and parmigiana tested microwaved (super hot, scolding hot) , when we asked for some salt and pepper for caprese salad they brought it to us when we almost finished it. After long time when we got our table cleaned we asked for the bill and informed the waiter that we also had ordered mains that we will not have. He brought the bill with mains included, again it took time until someone approached for us to pay. Long story short, the manager said we will have to pay for the mains cause the food is on the pass waiting to be served, tho we didn’t asked to follow up, when we tried to explain ourselves the other waiter interfered and made a show by saying that she will pay the rest from her salary, many times repeating herself out loud in the middle of the restaurant. They’ve changed the bill and now they were avoiding us so we just left the money on the table and got out.

29/09/2024: We go in to have a snack, we notice some kind of canestrelli in the window, partly empty and partly SLIGHTLY covered in pistachio or hazelnut cream. We rightly ask if they can be filled with flavors of our choice and we are told in response by the lady at the counter "they are already filled". To which we reply that they seem more empty than stuffed (they were: in most of them there was chopped hazelnuts AND THAT'S IT), and the lady at the counter replies to my mother "ma'am, what do you want?", synonymous with "don't bother me, thanks", later stating "in Messina we make them like this". He could have given reasons with a completely different tone, saying "unfortunately they came like this, sorry", "we can add something if you want", or any other response that does not disrespect the customer. Absolutely not recommended.

13/09/2024: We went to this place to eat something, we ordered some sandwiches and bruschetta, the sandwiches were good, the bruschetta, although tasty, needed to be toasted more (the bread was too soft), the beer was also good. Very kind owner, he made the children happy with many gadgets.
