16/09/2025: For the feast of the Madonna of Tindari, a friend recommended me to try some gelato at this ice cream shop, and I must say, it was excellent. The place is small, but these guys are masters when it comes to gelato, with a wide variety of flavors, both gelato and granita. I even checked out the restroom, which was clean. The staff was incredibly friendly. Now, every year when I go to Tindari, I absolutely have to stop by. My compliments to the owners.

08/03/2026: Number One Given its name and reputation, I expected a guarantee. It wasn't. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. But I say, on a day when there are few seats and you don't have the excuse of being crowded, how do you serve a cold pulled pork sandwich, an ungrilled bun, and cold fries? And let's be clear, the quality of the pulled pork is truly good (the best in Messina). The whole grain bread is good too. This is all about the desire to work hard and deliver a good, hot product. These are the basics for anyone who wants to serve hamburgers. Incredibly, this whole disaster was saved by a super kind and helpful staff. Great Geppy

08/03/2026: My family and I ordered meat and mixed grill which was lacking in seasoning and the portion was very small, so to speak, if there were 60 grams of pasta it was a lot.

21/10/2025: Excellent seafood restaurant, chosen on the recommendation of the person who took us to Salina from Lipari (Popolo Giallo). Their calamari with Malvasia wine was spectacular, and the fried fish was heavenly.

09/02/2026: My wife and I dined here while on vacation. The setting is absolutely lovely on the steps. The food — while not innovative or unique — was perfectly cooked and tasty. I would normally have given this place 5 stars were it not for the obnoxious service. I asked the server for two glasses of red wine to try before choosing one. There was no list of wines by the glass (mind you), so it was not clear how many total wines there were by the glass. Or if a wine by the glass list existed, it wasn’t presented to us. The server brought out the glasses, but I didn’t care for either so I asked if there was maybe a 3rd I could try. That’s when — in the most condescending manner I’ve ever experienced from a waiter in my life — they scoffed and laughed at me saying “in Sicily there are only two types of red wine.” Translation: “you idiot…why are you bothering me with such dumb requests.” I was so astonished and rattled at how they mocked me that I had to excuse myself from the table and go to the bathroom to take a pause. When I came out of the bathroom I was visibly shaken that the owner came up to me to ask what was wrong. I told him what happened and asked for a new server. The owner — a truly gracious soul whose wife was about to give birth any day — offered to be our server for the night. While the owner did his best to rectify the situation, the evening had already been ruined. I would’ve given 1 star had it not been for the kindhearted owner who understood the importance of service relative to the high prices they charge. While this happened maybe 9-10 months ago, it still pops into my mind from time to time. I’m writing this bad review for my own personal closure so I can stop thinking about how mistreated I was, and to warn the owner that others will leave bad reviews if they keep that obnoxious waiter on staff. And, for the record, their staff should be educated on Sicilian wine better. While there are indeed two main red varietals Sicily is famous for, there are plenty more that are grown in Sicily. So they mocked me for not knowing something that they were completely wrong about. How ironic.

07/12/2025: I was truly impressed by this restaurant: a charming, elegant place with attention to every detail. The atmosphere is refined yet welcoming, perfect for a special dinner. A special thanks goes to Gilbert, the waiter who looked after us with great professionalism and courtesy. Extremely kind, knowledgeable, and always available, he expertly guided us through the wine selection, suggesting perfect pairings with each course. His passion and attention to detail made the experience even more enjoyable. The quality of the food is excellent: fresh ingredients, carefully crafted dishes, and balanced flavors. The portions are perfectly designed: you arrive at the end of the meal feeling full but not weighed down, with the feeling of having savored each course to perfection. The price is absolutely in line with the quality offered; in fact, considering the attentive service and the high quality of the cuisine, it's even reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant: a true gastronomic experience, worth trying again and again! Congratulations to all the staff, especially Gilbert, who made the evening unforgettable. 🍽️✨

30/11/2025: An experience definitely worth repeating. The choice of ingredients, the attention to detail, and the expertise in the preparation lead to an outcome that can only be excellent. Every single flavor is well-balanced and perfectly paired. The dishes are a succession of taste and refinement. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The service is attentive and courteous. There's a plan. You can see it, and above all, taste it, with every bite. Recommended.

08/03/2026: Unfortunately if you go around 8pm you can't find almost anything and you have to wait an hour to be able to eat, that's what they told us last night when on the counter there was only a pistachio pizza and some arancini and we left.

19/03/2026: I discovered this restaurant/pizzeria in Messina by chance during a business trip. I dined there for two days, purposely ordering pizza on both occasions because I wanted to try new pizzas, with combinations of ingredients and flavors I'd never seen before. Two examples to give you an idea: raisins rehydrated with Malvasia wine and lemon mayonnaise dollops. I promised myself I'd return on my next trip to try the restaurant's dishes. The service is also noteworthy, with staff always available and ready to accommodate any customer needs or requests, with wait times truly reduced to a minimum. The prices are slightly higher than usual, but absolutely justified by the excellent quality of the products and service. Highly recommended.
