At all the places in Cisternino, the food tasted like sadness on a plate, the service moved slower than a broken clock, and the decor looked like it was designed by someone in need of bifocals. 25/08/2025: The pizzas are good, but I think it's important to point out that ketogenic dough requires a specific phone call. We specified that we were diabetic, but that wasn't enough, and we found ourselves in an awkward situation at dinnertime. Fortunately, the staff was able to source a base. The wait is a bit long, but the dough is very good, even the keto one, which contains a total of 4 carbohydrates. Cereal-based and gluten-free bases are also available (with a dedicated oven).

24/08/2025: A very modern place, more of a cocktail bar than a restaurant. The tartar was good, but a bit undercooked. The big flaw: what they call a "chicken burger" isn't really a burger, but a very thin, breaded chicken breast, dry and tasteless. I ordered a burger, and it wasn't. The service was a bit slow. I'm sorry because the place has a lot of culture and potential.

30/08/2025: Excellent appetizers, the tasting menu is highly recommended. Book a few days in advance, as it's always busy. The fish and wine are excellent. Excellent value; you won't find places like this anymore.

21/09/2025: A cozy, home-style wine bar where Luigi, the owner, makes you feel right at home with his friendly service. The wine list is a bit limited, especially on the Pugliese side, and the food could use a little more flavor and polish. Best to stick to the cheese and cold cut board or the stirate (a kind of pizzetta). Great spot for a casual drink, less so for a full meal.

21/09/2025: This place is great. The bartender knew his beers and was enthusiastic to share that knowledge. They carry an assortment of craft Italian brews, and yes, apparently, there are craft beers from Italy. The bar is situated in an ancient stone building with fantastic architecture on the inside, typical of many establishments in the area. If the downstairs isn't open, ask to see it anyway, it's worth the effort. We didn't eat, so I can't comment on that. I'll sum up by saying, if you want to sample Italian craft beer and/or just hang out in a cool bar, you will want to stop at the Bellinfusto Pub Independente.

04/10/2025: I had dinner here, and I have to say I had different expectations. The bombette were good but overcooked, the livers were a bit rubbery, and the capocollo was good. I also had lamb, but that was also a bit overcooked. The bill was a bit high for me, considering I paid 17 euros for five pieces of lamb. For me, as a non-tourist, it wasn't worth it.

18/09/2025: Great hotel in the middle of town in a small alley. You can't drive there, but they pick you up from the parking lot, which I thought was really cool. The hotel was old school. Breakfast was also really delicious. We'll go back to the hotel.

22/08/2025: These cookies release an ecstasy of flavors, you can taste the craftsmanship in every bite, a dough so crumbly from which an ecstatic fruit filling emerges, I could not describe a better deliciousness than these creations, all of them, whether traditional, glazed or finely cinnamon, but also the pear parcels.. An excellent quality-price ratio and the welcome was priceless, since they were closing and cleaning the floor.. but they welcomed us with enormous warmth, you really find few like them, sincere compliments! Ceglie without stopping to taste these cookies is not the same!

15/09/2025: The croissant was filled on the spot with cold custard. The flavor of the custard seemed rather bland to me. The croissant didn't seem fresh. The cappuccino was just okay. Unfortunately, my reference is the Manhattan bar from 30 years ago, which was the last time I enjoyed a good breakfast. I've been away for a few decades, but I've missed the goodness of the Manhattan bar of yesteryear.

23/08/2025: A very nice location, with meticulous attention to detail. It feels like a real pharmacy... instead, you find yourself in a themed cocktail bar with the same name as the venue, with a beautiful view. Very knowledgeable staff and delicious cocktails!

21/08/2025: Intrigued by the great reviews, we decided to go for a cocktail at this very unique place, which produces a delicious in-house gin. Both the owner and the girls were friendly and helpful... they were very good at explaining what we were about to drink, which says a lot about the service. Our cocktails, superior quality and competitively priced, were accompanied by a few appetizers to buffer the alcohol 😅 Congratulations and keep up the good work. See you next vacation in Puglia.
